 A million bottles of butterbeer on the wall, a million bottles of butterbeer
Universal Orlando reps just informed us that the Wizarding World of Harry Potter has officially sold 1 million butterbeers since the park's opening nearly seven months ago in June 2010. To celebrate the milestone, the theme park gave out 1,000 complimentary butterbeers to guests visiting Hogsmeade today.  Quote:
“You can see the excitement on our guests’ faces as they wait in line – and then the smile that comes with their first sip,” said Ric Florell, General Manager and Senior Vice President of Resort Revenue Operations for Universal Orlando. “Butterbeer is not just a beverage. It’s an experience.”
The park also has added a fourth butterbeer location in the Wizarding World to help meet rising demands for the beverage.

OMG...this reminds me of a funny story....family friends of ours went...two adults and 4 kids. They all ordered the butterbeer in the collectible mug....the kids did not really like the taste of the butterbeer and the dad was so appalled at the price that he did not want it all to go to waste. So he drank five butterbeers in one sitting....and promptly spent the rest of the afternoon throwing up around the Wizarding World. I asked him how he liked the HP experience and he said "fine, but i am never ever drinking butterbeer again..." LOL.

It's very possible I'm going this summer...I think I'm not going to be able to spend any money between now and then, because of not only the theme park..but the merchandising also. I saw they sold Harry's triwizard task 3 shirt, and that's one piece of clothing I've been after since GOF came out.
