Well I really do think that 'RAB' is Regulus Black...but a thought just popped in my head and i'm not sure if someone else already said this.
Maybe it is two people who got the locket first...and the initials stand for two people....

no sorry, but you have to look for the part when Harry is in Grimmlaud Place and when they're cleaning the room. I think it is at the beginning of the book... The first time when Harry is at(?) (in?) sirius' home.

I don't think regulus would have much to do with the horcrux. I mean, there was very little mention of him until now hasn't there been ? I think R.A.B stands for something else - someone very close to Voldemort probably. Regulus seems too foolish to know anything much about horcruxes let alone steal one.

But why not Regulus?? We don't know anything about him... Maybe he was near to Voldemort and he wanted to came back to the good side but he probably couldn't so he was like: I try to do something... And maybe he stole the real Horcrux, maybe that was something like I dunno maybe he wanted to expite his faults??

Good theory but I wouldn't agree with that one - he was a pure-blood maniac. He got murdered by Lord Voldy ( ) when he got scared and tried to back out of what he was being pushed into oing. He only became a death eater coz he thought it was a pleasurabe life and not so harsh. I don't think he actually wanted to come back to the good side or anything.

Maybe... Oh I don't know!!! It's all so complicated.... I think that we can only wait for the next book....

I think it is Regulus, it all fits I think. He was a Death Eater, close to Voldemort, he is dead and it is highly posible that he could have found out about one of the Horcrux's

In the book it says :" ...I have stolen the real horcrux and intend to destroy it as soon as I can...", if Regulus wasn't death, and if he was a Death Eater why would he destroy the precious Voldemort Horcrux ???

if voldemort murdered regulus for finding out about the horcruxes, wouldnt he have taken the note and fake locket instead of leaving it?

I think there's a pretty good chance that it IS Regulus Black.
Even though he was a Death Eater he still could've destroyed the horcux. Maybe he KNEW he was going to be killed by Voldemort and decided that destroying one of his precious horcuxes would be a good payback you know?
Besides in the note it says that 'RAB' faces death in the hopes that when his (meaning Voldemort) match would come he would be mortal.
Harry had turned 16 when he read that note in the locket right? When he found out about Regulus he had read on the family tree that he died around FIFTEEN years before.
*So my theory is that Regulus KNEW he was going to be killed by Voldemort (or a deatheater) and thought that he would get back at him by destroying a Horcux...making it so that Vodemort was more vulnerable to death and would be closer to mortality by the time Harry got to him.
???That's just my opinion.

Yeah but Dumbledore said that know one really knows about Horcruxes and I doubt that Voledmort told his Deathe Eaters.

Would it be too obvious if it was Regulus? Everybody suspects him, and that's him? I don't think so. Even if you're saying he's almost the only one that fits. But it may be a character we don't know.



Maybe... But he'd had to be very intelligent and powerful wizard to get there! Even Dumbledore had some problems with that. We don't know if there was other way to empty the vessel. If there wasn't...

Hey! The person who reached this place and drank the liquid, had to become very weak too (if there weren't another person with him who drank it) and maybe that's why he died then! I don't remember - was Regulus murdered by Voldemort? So he'd have to be killed soon after that. Wouldn't Voldemort notice he's so weak? Wouldn't he start to suspect him? Well, maybe R.A.B. got the Horcrux without drinking it, I dunno. But that's the thought. I don't think it was Regulus.

I personnaly think its regulus black but didnt anyone see that the initials are Rons also (Ronald Arthur Bilius? im not sure about Bilius but i think i read it somewhere) . I dont mean that HE took the horcrux but i do sense danger.I hope he wont die. If he does i think ILL die.

I have no idea..of a character that starts with a B so sorry cant help you with that one!!!....But i so think that it is Regulas Black....i have a whole theory and everything and it makes so much sense and everything!!!

oh and what about Blaise (Zabini) he's going to play bigger role in the 7th book??? (It's for James Sirius Lupin Lilly because he/she wants to know somebody with name that begins with B - I can't think of anyone else)
