i agree....we had never seen dumbledore in such a low point. He seemed really vulnerable at that point!

Yes,the potion scene was definately the most disturbing scene, to hear Dumbledore beegging for his life to end, and poor Harry reassuring him that the potion would help...

Being the darkest book it had lots of disturbing parts though. I think Harry using Sectumsempra against Malfoy was horrible, that created a terrible image in my mind.

Also the parts about young Merope Gaunt, I found them disturbing, the way her father treated her.

Definitely the parts where Dumbledore is so vulnerable. And the part where he's drinking that stuff in the cave. And the spell Harry did on Draco in the bathroom, I thought Draco was dead!

Yeah, I thought the Merope Gaunt parts were disturbing also...

The most disturbing part of HBP was finding out the Snap was the HBP. Harry grew close to the man he despised without realizing it. So strange.

Well, finding out that LV had split his soul into 7 peaces was disturbing, I mean to be so afraid of death you would destroy your soul, that is aweful!!! I also found the potion part hard to read. I felt so sorry for Harry when he was having to lie to DD to get him to drink it. I also was disturbed by the tower scene where poor DD was so weak and frail. Made me want to just hug him and make him better.

There were tons of stuff like Ron getting poisoned, the Inferi, Katie almost getting killed by that cursed necklace, and Sectumsempra

I was upset when Dumbledore died, I had to re-read it a few times, cos I was in disbelief it could happen. The inferi & what happened in the cave with the horocrux was creepy.

Finding out Snape was the Half Blood Prince was definitely disturbing & Harry using Sectumsempra

The cave bit. Its really disturbing having Dumbledore nearly dead laid on the floor like a child moaning.

I found the scene when Hagrid won't believe Harry that Dumbledore is dead most disturbing, because it was a miracle that Harry wasn't in denial already, and it must've been really hard to watch/listen to someone who he looked at as a mentor (for lack of better word) deny something that he knew to be true.

i never thought jk would kill him because he was all-powerful and everything...

The potion scene was without a doubt the most difficult for me to read. I was amazed at how brave Harry was going through that. I don't think that I could have ever done that.

I hated the funeral because Dumbledore was dead and Harry had to turn down Ginny because he thought Voldemort would get to him if he knew he liked Ginny and would hurt her, that was sad :]

The most desturbing part of HBP for me is when Harry finds out the the crying boy in the girls bathroom with Moaning Myrtle was Draco and the fought and Harry tried the spell from the Princes Potions book and used it against Draco. Slashing him and didnt know what to think when it happend. I never thought Harry would use dark magic but then he didnt know what the spell did.

There were quite a few very disturbing parts in HBP.

Firstly, there was the treatment of Merope Gaunt, and I must say that Jo built this plot very well (gaining sympahy for Merope and then twisting that to find out she was Voldemort's mother). The way that she lived and was treated by her own family was terrible and unthinkable. Her whole story is extremely tragic.

Then there is the Sectumsempra. I found the whole thing very disturbing and my heart really went out for Harry because he never meant for it to get so out of hand like it did.

Lastly, the whole potion scene really upset me. I hated seeing Dumbledore so vulnerable and the complete role reversal with Harry and Dumbledore really made me sad for Harry. I think knowing what we know now about what Dumbledore had actually seen has made it even more disturbing.

I'll be a bit different. The potion scene with Dumbledore wasn't as disturbing to me as it was suspenseful. I think that one of the most disturbing parts was when Harry attacked Draco in the girls bathroom, with a curse he wasn't even familiar with. For a moment I thought that Draco was actually going to die . For my choice of a second disturbing scene, I would say the tower scene where Dumbledore is about to be killed, and the introduction of Greyback. I dunno, but when Greyback made that comment about "how much I like kids...", and then licked his lips or something to that effect, ugh, that made my stomach churn.
