I agree with some people that Harry did not ponder on Sirius' death as I expected; however, he matured. He had to face the reality that Sirius was gone, and now that Dumbledore is gone, Harry is going to channel his anger concerning Dumbledore's death as a positive force to defeat Voldemort. Also, Harry was less angsty and more love-struck with Ginny, which were my favourite parts!

I personally am glad he is not as snappy and he is more matured, I personally disliked he was very angsty in Order of the Phoenix, and I'm glad he still has good emotions but can control himself.

I think he has matured more in this book but he matures more and more in each book any way cos hes getin older. I mean everyone older than 12, think bout how you were when you were 12. Of course you mature.

Well, he was quite tame in books 1, 2, 3, and 4, it was just in book 5 that he went off course and had a flood of attitude problems like most of us do, I'm just glad he pulled himself out of his teen angst quite quickly.

I love Harry in this book much more than the one in OoP! He's definitely a lot more mature and he's able to handle his emotions if needed. I like his new attitude towards others and himself and the fact that he's able to stand firmly on his ground! He's much nicer and more grown-up!

I agree with everyone on this. It seems like Harry was much more subdued and friendly in books 1-4. Then we got a taste of the hormonal teenager in book 5, with the random outbursts and sullen attitude. And I think he has pretty much come full circle and matured...he is now more able to handle the immense responsibility that he has to carry. I also think Sirius's death helped to change him and make him grow up.

i love Harry's attitude in the end. He is determine to find the rest of the Horcruxes, he doesnt show weakness or nothing like that. & he also really want to protect Ginny by breaking up with her. I love Harry.

his attitude in hp 6 was really more mature, more confident. Like when he was talking to the Prime Minister and stuff....very grown up and straightforward. I very much liked it. cuz really and truly it was time to get down to business..he has his work cut out for him and i think this new attitude really does suite him.

and the best part is now he doesn't have to suppress all the hate he has for snape...lolz...he's in the red as to what he'll do to snape when he finds him...unless something surprising happenss!!!!

Yes...he is more mature, except with the "Sectumsempra!" That was really dangerous! What if Malfoy had been killed!!!?
He still can be too curious for his own good sometimes, though. Like with the "Levicorpus!--what if it was something nasty?!

I personally felt a little hurt by his actions towards Dumbledore on a occasions! And the whole time Dumbledore kept his cool!! Which i think overall showed the audience on how loving and caring he is!! Although Harry is getting older and he is a 16yr old boy so i suppose it wasnt like it wasnt expected.

I was so surprised that Harry hardly thought of Sirius throughout the book. He spent more time in romance

I think harrys attitude was really good in this book, he even feels at the beginning shame because of the way he acted to dumbledore before.

hes alot more relaxed because its started.

I was surprised at how Harry handled Sirius death, he didn't harp on it and I thought that was great. He was a lot more mature in this book in my opinion. I think he should have trusted Dumbledore a bit more on a lot of occasion he was doing exactly what he yelled a Mclaggen for! He said that he was the capitain and that Mclaggen needed to focus on his task and stop telling others how to do their tasks. Harry kept telling Dumbledore what he needed to be doing and ignoring his task of getting the memory from Slughorn!!!

Ahhhh. I loved harry in this book. I liked the way he faced the Minister. Very sneerish. I loved it when he thought about everyone first this time and his sarcastic attitude with Snape and loyalty to Dumbledore.

'He accused me of being your man through and through.'
'How rude.'
'I said I was.'

Hear Hear! I laughed actually! And he actually became a little more smart. And his feelings for Ginny...where he wanted to "rip Dean limb from limb" was hysterical. Oh, I loved the Harry here!

I loved the monster inside of him when he saw dean and ginny kissing that was excelent....and also when he kept on saying to himself about "he is ron's sister, they are just brotherly feelings..." etc.... that was so cute!!

I like Harry a lot more than in the 5th book now.
He seemed to be not as angry and planless. In the 5th he was shouting at everyone and now in the 6th book he behaved a lot more like an adult.
And he also seems to solve conflicts with thinking and conversation now instead of shouting and throwing things
He also acted very polite when he met the new minister of magic although he had a different opinion.
And what I really liked was the fact that he just kissed Ginny and didn't think about that for a long time
Carry on with that behaviour Harry !

did anyone notice harry's been saying things without really holding himself in check?!

like when he told snape "there's no need to call me sir"

and when he asked luna to slughorn's party..

he could be acting out....suppressed emotions...la la la

i could be just the only one noticing this stuff though

It seemed Harry was maturing more as the book progressed, so by the end when...(*::cough cough::*) Dies, and he is at the funeral, he is so determined, and now he is a man, pretty much alone with not really adult figures to protect him, so he really doesn't have a choice to be mature enough or not...he just HAS to be, or he will die! At least he has Ron and Hermione.

i must admit, i was extremely shocked at how he handled sirius's death, but i was SOOOOOO glad he wasn't throwing anymore hormonal teenage boy temper tantrums. they were more annoying than my brother's. i think i like the mature, witty harry in hbp best. "There's no need to call me sir" it was hilarious!!!!! i loved that he actually stood up to snape like that. and ginny. ah, ginny. my reaction when reading the part when he caught her snogging dean was 'he wants to rip his limbs off, awww, how cute!!!'. the mature harry rox, and i have a feeling that he's just gonna get more mature in the final book. (thank god!)

Actually, I think Harry's been doing a much better job of keeping himself in check. Sure, there's the occasional "outburst" now, but for the most part he has matured. He handles things calmly, like meeting the Minister. He disagreed with the minister on many levels but he still kept a calm head and argued his point rather than blowing up. I'm glad for Harry that he has gotten older.

He has been alot more reserved, not snapping at his friends or Dumbledore anymore...he's grown up <3 buuut still showing us the little rebel he has always had inside of him.
Harry in OotP was just angst, angst, prickish and more angst lol

I don't think he's really matured. and he's been a lot more of a bighead. hermione was right about the potions book. and he was following draco everywhere, even though he was right about him, people were telling him it'd be saver not to. and then there's the sectumsempra spell... I didn't like his attidtude at all.
