and i think the part that went missing in HBP and OoTP is that i dont remember Dumbledore and Harry discussing the prophecy...where Harry goes through this phase that he would in the end be the murder and the explaination that follows in the book is really too good.you know the one in which Dumbledore explains about not following what is right and what is wrong but what you choose in the end that matters...that has quite a strong message...but i dont think they have put that up in either of the films so i guess that might affect the final movie...

so all in all i guess there will quite a lot of explaining to be done for the film makers to do on these parts if they are planning to do exactly how it is given in the book.
well with these things not explained in the previous movie i guess there will be quite a lot of alterations in the last two movies.but i guess they will do a good job as they did with HBP even though they missed quite a few plots...

i discovered this thread quite late and that is why i would like to add that Tom was completely awesome in the movie and Ron was much more funnier than any other movies.they really did a good job.one of my friends simply loved Tom from the beginning of the series and she always thought Tom's character was underplayed but this time i told her when i had seen the trailers on net that 'you are going to see a lot of Tom' and she was glad and she was amazed and wonderstruck at his acting when she saw the movie.

there is no favorite part of the film for me because the entire movie i guess is my favorite amongst the rest even if they have missed (i must say again...lol) few plots...
I agree. If the next movie were shown to an audience that has never once in their life picked up a Harry Potter book, none of them would understand what's going on for the fact that the filmmakers are leaving the important stuff out. Nothing to say anything against the filmmakers. It is a hard thing to do when you're trying to recreated something that is such a phenom.

Everything should be considered important. Including all the small things. But what they've (filmmakers) are focusing too much on stuff that was either hinted or was a touch and go subject.

Example would be the whole relationship(s) thing going on. To me, during HBP it felt like they were focusing way too much on the relationship of Ron and Lavendar than to get down to the actual heart of the plot. I felt that maybe if they had hit on it and not over done it; if you will, then there would
have been time to put in some of that stuff.

hm...that's true...when i heard it from one of my friend's who had seen the movie before me that they hadnt discussed the horcruxes and all in much detail as it is given in the book i was a bit disappointed because in the end they are the key to a lot of explainations in the 7th book...and the relationship as you pointed out...i agree they should have just touched upon it and shouldnt have gone around it too much.but i guess their main motive must have been to lighten up the series a bit since all the past movies were a bit draker and since the book too had some entry of romance, they must have picked up on the romantic comedy stuff to lighten the series a bit...

Hm....PG...I'm not sure that's right, but I also don't think it's quite PG-13, either. I kind of wish they would have a rating in between, that doesn't necessarily preclude children from going, but that does warn about more mature aspects of the movie other than violence, language and sensuality.

I give it 10 out of 10!!! Best movie yet! It was very close to the book! You know, you can't keep EVERYTHING in the movie that was in the book! It would be the longest movie ever!!

9/10.
This was my favorite movie till I saw Deathly Hallows.
But I felt this was very well put together. I just wish they could have focused more on Harry and Ginnys relationship because the book spent so much time on it.
Oh well. The kiss was good enough I guess.
