Was I the only person who found Bonnie Wright's lines exceptionally creepy in HBP?

They were a bit strange. When she kissed Harry, "This can stay up here too, if you like."

No...everything about her and Harry's relationship in the HBP movie was creepy and detached. I don't think it was anything like the book...(big surprise -eyeroll-)

It wasn't the lines so much as the way they were said that weirded me out. When Ginny said "Open up, you." That was just...weird. I've always been a fan of Bonnie Wright but somehow it just wasn't there in HPB.

I though her acting was a bit sucky when she said "thats what it says here, property of the half blood prince." sorry bonnie lovers

i also found the shoe tying and the mince pie feeding incredibly cringy "open up you!" What!!

I'm not sure this wasn't one of the biggest disappointments of the movie. The Harry/Ginny relationship in the book is more complex and satisfying. Ginny is a much stronger character in the book and her interactions with Ron would have been a big plus in the movie.

I've seen this movie seven times and I've only just noticed how weird some of those lines sounded. I didn't even know she said "Open up, you" until now....

I'm a huge Bonnie Wright fan but that "Open up, you" line made me cringe. For some reason, it didn't seem very "Ginny" to me.

The whole movie was full of some weird lines, but I agree that Bonnie had some of the weirdest. Four times through and I still roll my eyes when she does up his shoe lace for him. What the heck was that even about?

I sincerely hope not as well. I'm hoping (but not expecting) that maybe they start DH1 with Harry & Ginny's scene about having to be apart for her safety, as well as, Dumbledore's funeral. Realisticallly the funeral probably won't happen because of the number of returning actors it would require and some scuttlebut about the wedding being a big deal.

Wright could have done better but I didn't think she did too badly with what she was given. The problem was that she was given almost nothing. You can't blame Wright for the terrible screenplay. At least in OotP you get the impression that she's powerful and a bit fiery. In this one her character was flat... again due to messed up screenplay more than her acting.

Her lines were definitely not what I expected and if they had to have been said she could have improved the quality of her acting.

I don´t understand wtf did the movie makers mean with displaying the H/G realationship that way...

Shouldn´t it be like that Ginny is the funny one, with many friends around her, and laughing together with Harry a lot, and once they´re kissing they´re doing do with passion, and she´s fiery, courageous...?

Totally agree. That's more in line with how the character is portrayed in the book, especially the laughter and kiss.

Oh, she was really terrible, in my opinion. 'Open up, you!' made me cringe like hell. It was so forced and strange, it really made me dislike Ginny.

Also, what was with Ginny taking Harry to the Room of Requirement and him closing his eyes. He's meant to take it there himself and see the thing with the crown on it so that he remembers in DH. I'm wondering now how they are going to sort that out in the final film.

I felt really bad for Bonnie when I saw the film as I think she is a very good actress but she was given the stupidest lines and scenes in the entire film. I mean tying Harrys shoe, that is so not Ginny! "Open up, you" is just creepy on so many different levels.

I thought her lines were a bit strange for her character and akward for the audience. I saw it twice in theatres and thought that she didn't really live up to her full potential in this film. I thought that it could've been written much better.

Also when Ginny bent down to tie Harry's shoe lace I was thinking, "What the heck? Why can't Harry tie his own shoe lace? He is 'The Chosen One' after all, he should be able to perform simply tasks such as that."

Im glad Im not the only one who thinks Ginny was strange in this movie. When I read the books, Ginny is funny and cool, she is strong, but in HBP movie she is quite strange, shy or what. Those moments with shoe lace and in the RoR were really like...I felt embarassed for them. And the moment of their kiss was in book so fantastic, not so much romantic, but in the movie it was 'romantic..'.

How can Harry find diadem, if he didnt hide the book by himself anyway?
