Okay, here's the (Short) update. *Stamps feet*:

It was raining. Olivia kept her eyes closed for a moment, willing the sound to go away. When she finally opened them she saw splashes of water drumming on her window and the dark grey sky outside. So much for ‘The sun’ll come up tomorrow’, even the weather is against me.

Olivia rummaged in her duffle bag to find her schedule. Okay, Transfiguration and Charms this morning, then Defense Against the Dark Arts this afternoon.

She quickly got dressed, being careful not to wake the sleeping girls in her dorm, and headed downstairs with her school books.

Olivia was determined to just ignore the voices coming from the common room and continue on her way to breakfast when she heard her name.

“Do you think it’s true?”

“It can’t be Ron, Olivia would have said something.”

Olivia quietly backed up a stair and sat down to listen. What would I have said something about?

“Face it Hermione, we’re not exactly best friends with her. Why would she tell us anything?”

“Yes, but he was convicted of killing fourteen people, how could she not mention that?”

Olivia’s heart all but stopped.

Harry’s voice joined the conversation. “Maybe he didn’t do it? Sirius was convicted of killing thirteen people, and we know he didn’t do it.”

Someone sighed and there was a ruffle of papers. Hermione spoke next. “I can’t believe the put it in the Daily Profit like this though. Now the whole school will be talking about it, whether it’s true or not. Poor Olivia.”

Olivia waited until she was sure they had left the common room before miserably walking to breakfast.

Nooo poor Olivia! Bah stupid paper!

..Wonder how Snape will react to this...

I played a game for a little while, then totally planned on writing this post but my cousin came home and we went out to get a dishwasher for the apartment then we went down to blockbuster, then I had to hook up the dishwasher. anyway... LOL... well it just reminded me of in POA when Snape asks Harry what he's doing wandering the corridors at night... and Harry says "Sleepwalking" it's almost the best part in the movie.

Anyway, here's a bit more:

Olivia was about to enter the great hall when Severus Snape spoke from the shadows. “Olivia… Please come with me.”
He had a tense look on his face, so Olivia just followed in silence until they reached her uncle’s office and he closed the door behind her.

“What’s up?” She looked around his office and noticed how tidy he kept it compared to his Apartment.

Severus stiffly walked over to his desk and picked up a newspaper. “I thought you should know about…”

“The Daily Profit article?”

Severus looked slightly surprised that she knew about it. “Yes. Have you read it?”

“No.”

He held the paper out and Olivia took it somewhat nervously.

She saw her father’s disbelieving face and watched his struggling form trying to get away from American Ministry Officials. Olivia recognized the picture as the one that had circulated all the papers in Canada and the United States after her father had been arrested.

She quickly scanned the article and then sat down to concentrate on the details.

Adrian Emmanuel Snape, who was convicted of 14 counts of murder just months ago, has not one, but two relatives now residing at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Severus Snape has been Potions master at the school for many years but this year he is joined by his niece and Adrian Snape’s daughter, Olivia.

Adrian Snape poisoned 14 of America’s more notable wizards at a dinner which he also attended. His guilt was proved when his goblet was the only one that was void of the deadly potion that claimed the lives of the 14 other wizards present. It is believed that Adrian Snape was and is heavily involved in the dark arts and that he taught his daughter in a secret underground room in his home in Canada. Olivia Snape was away at school at the time of this horrific event, but sources say she may have participated, willingly or unwillingly, in the potion that claimed the 14 lives, as it calls for hair of a virgin girl.

Olivia, now 16 years old, is in the legal care of her uncle Severus Snape and is currently attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with none other than Harry Potter. Olivia was sorted into Gryffindor, but skeptics say this is no reason to believe she wasn’t involved in the 14 murders.



At the end of the article there was a small picture of Olivia from her fifth year at Novus Aquila. When she had read the article for the third time she sighed and put it down on her uncle’s desk. “Thank you.”

Severus looked pensive for a moment. “I imagine we aren’t the only ones who have read this… or will read this.”

“I know.”

“What do you intend to do?”

“Ignore everyone. It’ll go away eventually. They had the same rumors at Novus after Dad was taken. I don’t care about it anymore.”

Severus waved his wand and a platter of muffins and bagels appeared on his desk. “Maybe it is best you eat in here.”

“Yes, Uncle… uh Professor Snape.”

Severus swept out of the room and down the corridor without saying another word about the article.

AWWW poor olivia.. was that care and affection comeing from uncle Snape?

Anyway good update Sam, Severus taking her into consideration, how thoughtful of him. Although he gives these little signs of affection, he still tends to make himself appear to be the disgruntled potions master that he is.
