Olivia was just reaching the entrance to Gryffindor common room when Harry came up behind her and grasped her left arm.

“I need to talk to you.”

Olivia tried to shake his hand off in annoyance. “Then we can talk in the common room.”

“No. Come with me.” He pulled her by the arm until they reached an empty classroom to the left of the Fat Lady’s portrait. He closed the door and turned around to face her.

“Where are Hermione and Ron?”

“I told them to stay behind a bit because I wanted to talk to you.” Harry started pacing the room. “I know you weren’t sick. I saw you this morning. It wouldn’t make sense for Snape to tell you to stay in the tower. He’d want Madam Pomfrey to fix what ever was wrong and have you back in your class. And you weren’t sick… So, what’s going on?” He stopped right in front of Olivia and stared into her eyes.

Olivia held his eyes for a moment defiantly before looking away. “I don’t see how that is any of your business.”

Harry advanced on Olivia making her back into the wall. “You’re helping him aren’t you? He’s working for Voldemort and you’re helping him.”

Olivia’s hand connected with Harry’s face before she realized she meant to hit him. “How can you say that?! How dare you say that! My uncle is a good man! Just because he doesn’t like you, just because he doesn’t like most Gryffindors, that doesn’t mean he works for… for… Him! You are seriously deluded Harry Potter.” Olivia turned to walk away.

“That article said your father was into dark magic.”

Olivia turned back and spoke through clenched teeth. “My father… did… what was necessary.” Olivia thought for a moment. “You know, I once read an article that said you were off your rocker… I’m beginning to believe it’s true.” She swept out of the room, much like she’d seen her uncle do, and entered Gryffindor tower, refusing to look at Hermione or Ron as she made her way to the Girls’ Dormitory steps.

lol. I almost feel guilty for abusing the poor boy. Sure he jumped to conclusions and shot his mouth off... but you do NOT want to be on Olivia's bad side.

Anyway, here's more:

Friday was a bright sunny morning. Olivia rolled over and put her pillow over her head. Not fair. Not supposed to be sunny. Where’s the rain? She slowly sat up in her bed, grumbling about the weather. She looked across the room to see Hermione staring back at her.
“Olivia.”

“I don’t want to talk about it.” Olivia stood up and rummaged in her duffle bag for her hair brush.

“Harry said…”

Olivia turned to glare at Hermione. “I don’t care what the boy wonder said.” Olivia scooped up her clothing and her hair brush and crawled into her bed, pulling the heavy curtains around the bed. She could hear Hermione sigh and then walk past her bed and out the door to the common room.

How could Harry think I would have anything to do with He-Who-Must-Not be named? How could Harry say that my uncle is working for him? It’s absurd. Olivia glanced at her schedule for the day, she had Potions first period followed by Defense Against the Dark Arts then lunch and two hours of Herbology.

Olivia slowly made her way down to the Great Hall. Most of the school was already at breakfast. Olivia saw Harry, Hermione, and Ron huddled together near the middle of the Gryffindor table. She gave them a dirty look and grabbed some toast before leaving the Great Hall again.

Olivia made her way to the little dungeon room that was fast becoming her home away from home and sat down with her legs crossed to eat her breakfast. I wonder if I should tell Uncle Severus what Harry said? He’d probably deduct house points from Gryffindor. Wouldn’t that boost my popularity.

Olivia was early to Potions, so she took a seat near her uncle’s desk, hoping that his presence will discourage Hermione from trying to talk to her.

A few minutes later, the rest of the class started to file into the class. Olivia noticed that the seats around her were the last to fill and she couldn’t help but notice the whispers that were permeating the room just before her uncle entered and called for silence.

Potions class went by fairly smoothly.

Severus seemed to be hovering around Olivia’s desk. She was adding an ingredient to her potion when he bent over, pretending to check that the fire was hot enough under her cauldron. “Is every thing alright, Olivia?”

“Yes. Everything’s fine, Professor.”

“You’re not sitting with Potter and his Posse.”

“We aren’t joined at the hip. Neville’s potion is about to explode.”

Severus looked up at Neville Longbottom. For once his potion looked exactly as it should at this stage of brewing. Severus looked back at his niece in puzzlement.

“3…2…1”

KABOOM!

Neville’s potion splashed over nearly everything. Olivia had preformed a simple shield spell, so she was completely clean. She calmly went back to making her own potion.

Severus looked at his niece incredulously. “How did you know?”

Olivia shrugged. “He put in too many Horklump Quills.”

Severus shook his head and then walked over to Neville, who was shaking like a leaf. “Mr. Longbottom! What happened here?”

“I… I… don’t know.”

“Did you put too many Horklump Quills in your potion, Longbottom?”

“I… I… might have.”

“Ten points from Gryffindor.”

The class ended a few minutes later and Olivia made her way to her Defense Against the Dark Arts class.

Poor Neville!!!



So now he's Robin Hood! Could you just see him in the tights and cape? Hehe!

Olivia sat in her seat and noticed that Harry hesitated before sitting down next to her.
“What’s wrong, Potter? Think I’ll do something Dark Artsy if you sit beside me?”

Harry hung his head. “Look, I’m sorry. I jumped to conclusions. I probably shouldn’t have said some of those things.”

“Duh.” Olivia got out her parchment and quill and awaited the teacher’s arrival. Is she always going to be late?

Miss Stone walked into the classroom about five minutes later, less frazzled then on her first day. She seemed a little surprised to see Olivia but she quickly got into her lesson plan.

“Good morning, everyone. I trust you’ve all slept well? We’re going to learn something new and exciting today. And for the few of you who’ve done it before… please don’t ruin the lesson for everyone else. We are going to jump ahead to topic five on your lesson plan. Did you all bring it?” There was a pause as several students dug in their school bags, trying to find the lesson plan. Neville seemed to have lost his completely.

“Okay now, if you’ve forgotten yours, you can take a look at the objective on the sheet of the person beside you. As you can see, we will be learning the Patronus Spell. It’s a very difficult spell to master… who can tell me why?”

Olivia tentatively raised her hand.

Miss Stone nodded towards her.

“You have to think of a really happy thought… and you have to keep it in your head while you perform the Patronus… otherwise, it won’t work.”

Miss Stone smiled. “That’s right. Ten points to Gryffindor. Now, the Patronus Spell is used most often to ward off Dementers but it has other uses as well. The Patronus will work as a shield between you and a dark spell, but keep in mind that you have to hold onto your happy thought which is very difficult to do in situations where you are fighting for your life. Let’s start with the incantation. Everyone please put down your wands. Good. Now say ‘Expecto Patronum’.”

The class spoke the incantation until the pronunciation was just right.

“Very good. Okay, now. I want you all to take the rest of the class to think of your ‘happy thought’… it may help to write it down, and make notes from your text books on the origins of the Patronus Spell. I’ll expect an essay of at least a foot long by next class explaining how and why the Patronus is effective in warding off Dementers.”

There was some grumbling by some of the students, but most just started their first bit of homework quietly.

Olivia had finished making notes from her text book and was just starting on her essay. She still had no idea what happy thought she was going to use. She was worried that she didn’t really have a happy thought that would be strong enough.
“Harry.”

“What?!” He looked startled.

Olivia tried not to laugh. “You said, last class, that you’d done a Patronus before?”

“Yeah.”

“I was wondering what your ‘happy thought’ is… I’m having trouble finding mine.”

“Er… well it depends on the situation.”

“What was your very first one… that you could do a successful Patronus with?”

“It was… my Mum and Dad.”

Olivia looked down at her paper. “Oh.” Olivia thought for a moment but she doubted anything having to do with her parents would generate a really happy thought. “Do you think… that they’d still be together… if they were still alive?”

“Yeah, they loved each other.”

“So did my parents… They’re divorced.”

“Because of your dad being arrested?”

“No, it was before then. One day my mom decided she didn’t want to be a witch anymore… she just left my dad and married a muggle.”

“That’s horrible.”

“Yeah… and it’s not helping me find my happy thought.” She looked over at Harry and smiled. “You know, I thought the ‘Famous Harry Potter’ would be more help.”

Harry stuck his tongue out at her.

Olivia pretended to act insulted and they both broke into giggles.

The sound seemed to catch the attention of Miss Stone. “Okay, now… I see you’re getting a little restless. You may all go to lunch early.”

The students started piling their books back in their bags and heading towards the door.

Olivia was talking her time packing up.

Harry leaned over. “Listen, I am really sorry about last night, will you eat lunch with us?”

Olivia looked at him, surprised that he was so close. “Okay… but I want to talk to Miss Stone, I’ll meet you there.”

Harry smiled and jogged to catch up to Hermione and Ron by the door.
