Welcome to my newest Fan Fiction. I am taking a break from Eliza and Tom (featured in Just in Case and Kin for Kin) and focusing on a new character that I thought up for a RP that never went anywhere. The first few posts may be a little confusing, but be assured that all will be revealed in time.

As you all know, I own none of J.K.'s characters, only the ones I create which most likely could not survive elsewhere.

Olivia Snape cautiously raised her hand to rap on the grungy door that supposedly belonged to her Uncle Severus. This must be the wrong place. What kind of a man lives above a bar like this? A moment later she saw a pair of dark eyes peering through a small opening in the door. “Er… Mr. Severus Snape?” She tried to see some family resemblance that would tell her she had the correct door, but it was difficult considering he had only shown his piercing eyes.

The eyes narrowed and a cold voice spoke. “Just who are you?”

Olivia bit her lip, now quite certain that she had the wrong place. She looked up and down the hall for some sort of assistance but she was alone with this man with the piercing eyes. “My… my name is Olivia… I was looking for my Uncle Severus Snape… This must be the wrong…”

The door jerked open suddenly and she was pulled inside.

“…Place.” Olivia finished her sentence and looked around the dingy apartment before looking back up at the man who had let her in.

His face was hard, like stone, but his words seemed to be meant to be comforting. “I heard you were coming Olivia. I am sorry to hear what my brother did.” The man moved further into his bachelor pad, kicking bits of garbage out of the way as he did. Olivia followed him in silence. So, this is Severus Snape? The fabulous Potions Master my father always bragged about. You’d think he’d wave a wand to pick up around here.

“Don’t mind the mess,” Severus seemed to have read her mind. “I’ve not been here much lately… I’ve been away on… school business.”

Olivia raised her eyebrows at his tone of voice. Why is it I get the feeling it wasn’t ‘school business’ he was away on?

Severus looked away and then towards a very lumpy looking couch. “You can sleep there; it’s more comfortable than it looks.”

Doubt it. It was late and Olivia was tired so she opted to curl up on the battered piece of furniture. A few moments later, Severus put a light blanket on her and walked through a door that she assumed to lead to his bedroom.

Olivia woke early and looked over at the closed bedroom door. I wonder when he gets up? She pulled her brush from her duffle bag and quietly groomed herself. The apartment didn’t look so grungy with sunlight filtering in through one of the curtains. If he’s not going to clean up then I might as well. Olivia walked into the small kitchen and started looking for cleaning supplies. I hope he has some. Stupid ‘underage magic’ law. She found some potions under the kitchen sink that looked like they might be cleaners but she wasn’t sure. I hope he gets up soon. She abandoned thoughts of cleaning for the time being and started the stove instead. She looked into the fridge. How old are these eggs? She sniffed them gingerly and they seemed alright. She reached in the cupboard above her head for the frying pan and several pots tumbled out as well. Olivia cringed at the clattering. Oops. She was just picking up the extra pots when her Uncle popped out of his room, in black silk pajamas, pointing his wand in her general direction.

“Sorry, Uncle Severus, I was just trying to make breakfast.” Olivia shrugged, the eggs still in one hand.

Severus looked his niece up and down, surveyed the scene, then lowered his wand and slipped back into his bedroom.

Good thing he doesn’t sleep naked. Olivia giggled as she set the eggs to start cooking and started picking up the mess she had made.

It had been several minutes and Olivia hadn’t heard a sound from the next room. Her eggs were done and she was beginning to wonder if her uncle was going to eat anything. “How do you like your eggs Uncle Severus? Scrambled? Over Easy? Sunny Side…”

Severus Snape came out of his room now fully clothed and brushed by Olivia without saying a word.

“… Up?” Olivia saw her uncle sit down at the dining room table and start to look over some papers there. I wonder what those are? She watched him for nearly a minute but he never made any indication that he even knew she was still there. “Do you want some Eggs?”

“Olivia, I am perfectly capable of cooking my own breakfast, should I want any.”

Olivia raised her eyebrows at his back. “Okay…” She turned around and shut the stove off again. “So, those potions under the sink, can I use them to clean?”

The same cold voice replied. “Olivia, I am perfectly capable of cleaning my own dwelling, if I so choose.”

Olivia clenched her teeth and brought her eggs with her to sit in front of him. “Well, that’s fine, Uncle Severus, but you aren’t the only one who has to live here now. I won’t live in this… this pigsty, and I can’t use Scourgify because of that stupid law.”

Severus Snape looked up at his niece and then went back to his reading.

“ARGH!” Olivia got out of her chair and walked off in the direction that she hoped was the bathroom.

Lol, looks like this could be an interesting arrangement for these two.

Oh Snape seems pretty cold and like he doesnt really care about anything ...Very interesting!

I cant wait to see whats gonna happen next! ...wonder if Olivia will tell him off? ...lol

Well, you have to remember that this is Olivia's Uncle... she really doesn't want to see him naked. (although I wouldn't mind seeing him with at least his shirt off... do you think we can convince J.K. Rowling to let Snape go swimming or something in the last book? )

We could try...hehe

Olivia took several minutes to wash her face and fix her raven black hair in the mirror. You have to live with him now, you might as well get along… maybe I can convince him to do the spell. She walked into the living room and retrieved a scrap of paper from the front pouch of her duffle bag. She returned to the dining room to find her uncle finishing a plate of scrambled eggs while continuing to read the papers in front of him. She noticed her plate was no where in sight and that the kitchen was noticeably cleaner. Olivia took her place across from her Uncle with the parchment held between her hands.
Severus looked up at her. “What have you got there?”

Oh, now he notices me. “Oh, it’s nothing, just a bit of parchment.” Olivia tried to hide it under the table.

This was all the motivation her uncle needed to get up from the table. “Hand it over, now.”

Olivia faked reluctance as she handed it over. “I… I don’t actually know what it is, I found it in my father’s study and it’s hard to read… do you think you could…?” She gave the most innocent look she could muster.

Severus looked at the paper and started mumbling the words.

Olivia was somewhat afraid that he wouldn’t get it right because he wasn’t saying some of the syllables.

He finished the last word and looked at Olivia. “What is this gibberish?”

Olivia batted her eyelashes. “Well, if it seems like gibberish to you than it must really be nothing, Uncle Severus. Although, since it was my father’s, I would very much like to have it back.” She reached forward but her uncle pulled the paper away.

“I think I will keep hold of it for a while and see if I can find out what it means. If it is harmless, I will return it to you. If it is not… well, we will see.” He set the parchment on top of the papers he had been reading and piled them into his arms.

He was nearly at the door before Olivia had presence of mind to ask him where he was going.

“I will be gone for approximately four hours; stay out of trouble.”

“But where are you going.” Olivia didn’t entirely like the idea of being alone, for four hours, in this apartment.

“Where I am going is irrelevant; I will be back in four hours.”

“But… what if I need you… for something?” Just what would I need him for?

Severus sighed heavily with his hand on the door knob. “There is an owl downstairs that you can use for a sickle. If you need anything, send a message to ‘Albus Dumbledore’, he’ll know how to find me.”

Severus whisked out the door without another word.

And why can’t I send the owl directly to you, Uncle Severus? Olivia sighed and looked around the apartment. “Well, at least I’ll have time to find out if the spell worked.”

Brilliant.. although i knew it must be if Sniv is reading it...

Absolutely love Snape Ff's! It's good to see that there are lots of people who admire him also... He he, Sniv lets try to get J.K to do that shirt bit with Snape. I wouldn't mind it at all. Hehe...

Although he did look a little pudgy in POA even though he was wearing black, hmm oh well!
