Draco sat in his office, looking over some papers. With reading glasses perched on his perfect nose, he looked much older than he really was. Tara had been boggling his thoughts lately, so he usually stayed in his study to keep his mind off of her. But most of the time it just made it worse.
“Draco! Where are you at?” he heard a female voice call.
“In here, Tara,” he called back.
He heard heels clicking the floor, then Tara opened the door. She came in and sat down near him on his desk, crossing her legs.
“So what have you been up to baby?,” Tara asked, moving Draco’s chin so that he looked up at her and not her legs.
“Nothing. Just work,” Draco said, trying to look away.
Tara took the glasses off his face. “Work, work, work, that’s all you ever do anymore. When I’m around you’re always working,” Tara sighed.
“Well that’s because you are hardly around anymore,” Draco replied.
“Well I’m around now, so lets have a little fun, shall we?,” Tara smirked.
Draco didn’t listen to anything else but picked Tara up and carried her into the bedroom, kicking the door shut behind him.

The next morning Draco expected to wake up and see Tara lying next to him, but all he saw was sheets. He groaned and got up out of the bed, and went to take a shower. Once done, he put on a pair of clean clothes and walked down to the kitchen. This was driving him insane that Tara was always gone. He needed to find some way to get her back. Pouring himself some coffee into a mug, Draco began to think of ways to get Tara back. But nothing seemed to click. But as he sat down at the table to a House-Elf made breakfast, it hit him. He could ask someone else. But if only that someone would talk to him…

Sorry its so short, but I'm having a bit of a writer's block and plus I'm very busy. But like I always say, something is better than nothing!

Draco heaved out a large phone book. Putting his glasses back on, he flipped through the G's.
"Gerald.....Gladys....Granger, there!" Draco picked up the phone and dialed the number. A light voice answered the phone.
"Granger residence."
"Yes, I'm looking for Hermione please? This is Draco." Draco tried to keep his voice down, he remembered Hermione telling him about these telephone things.
"She's not living here right now, she got married." The voice told him, a little irritated. "Is this a joke?"
"Oh, no ma'am. I wasn't aware. Could you tell me her number please? It's very important." Married? Hermione got married?
"Of course." The voice prattled off a number, and Draco thanked it and hung up. Losing no time, he dialed and waited.
"Hello?" Hermione voice carried through the phone, and Draco almost broke down and cried.
"Hermione? It's Draco, I need your help."
"Draco?" He heard a clunk, then some scrabbling. "Draco Malfoy?"
"The one and only." He said, his arrogance showing through his tone.
"Still the same I see." She laughed. "What's up Draco?"
"I need your help with Tara."
"Is she sick?" Concern filled Hermione's voice.
"No, she's not. But...oh, I can't say this over the phone. Want to meet me somewhere? I need to tell you this face-to-face."
"Of course Draco." There was a pause, voices in the backround. "I'll met you at the Good Lad, ok?"
"Right. Thanks Hermione." Draco hung up and put his shoes on. He looked towards the bed where just a few hours ago, Tara had made him happy. Where was she?

Draco ordered a table for two and waited. He also ordered a Scotch and had downed two before Hermione arrived. She found him and made her way over to him. Draco stood up nervously.
"Well, Draco the Great finally having problems?" She taunted him, a smirk not unlike his on her face.
"Draco doesn't have problems, Problems have Draco." Draco countered, and the ice was broken. They both laughed, and embraced.
"That was terrible Draco." Hermione giggled, and ordered a Shirley Temple. Draco grinned.
They caught up on things, who Hermione was married too, what Draco was up too, Hermione's new house, and then they got down to business.
"Tara keeps going off and I've heard awful rumors Hermione." Draco moaned to her.
"Have you asked her what she's doing?" Hermione inquired.
"No, every time I want to bring up the subject, she avoids it and me. I...I think she might be cheating on me, but I don't want to believe it." He added quickly.
Hermione looked at him. Draco looked away. She sighed.
"Draco, you have to confront her. Ask her what's going on. You have the right to know."
"But I can't. I...you don't understand." Draco wiped a stray tear from his eye. "I love her so much."
"Draco...I'll ask her, ok? We know each other. We'll make a date, ok?" Hermione covered his hand with hers. "It'll be alright."
"I hope your right Hermione." Draco squeezed her hand. "I pray your right."
