Stupid Malfoy! I had to yell at him. Madam Pomfrey had shooed me out after explaining that the water Malfoy set on the floor mixed with one lethal potion, causing Snape to be in even more critical conditions and he would be sent off to St. Mungo’s.

I left the wing and went up to Professor McGonagall to explain what happened.

‘Tsk..poor Severus. It’s alright Hermione, go to dinner, I’ll try to get more information.
I was relieved she didn’t yell at me. She looked more worried than angry.

I went to the Great Hall for dinner and automatically glanced at the Slytherin table for any sign of Malfoy.

I sighed and headed to my table between Harry and Carly. Ginny hadn’t sat anywhere near them. Maybe our telling her off had something to do with that.

‘Hey, how’s Snape?’ Harry asked me.

I told them what happened and Harry hugged me tightly. ‘I love you!’ He said. ‘Snape is going to be gone for even longer!’

‘This is excellent! This year is coming off to a great start!’ Ron said shoving food in his mouth. I asked Carly if she knew where her dumb boyfriend was, but she said he was still at the party.

We finished up and they went outside to visit Hagrid, who now sort of knew Carly as the pretty, confident, outgoing girl. Well, everyone knew her like that. It was almost nine so I still had some time before curfew. I went around the school looking for Malfoy who I just remember I was furious at.

I was really worried about Snape being sent to St. Mungo’s. His going to Mungo’s affected my learning, since Professor Jensen could not teach at all. All our Potion lessons were like free classes these days.

After searching, I went back to the Common Room and just talked with Carly, Ron and Harry till midnight. They went up to bed while I decided to get some homework done.

In order to evaporate the Butternut Squash sap, there are three steps to it. Firstly, add some refined Minsk powder, softening…

My eyelids began to droop as I read my Potions work. The chair was so comfy. I let myself drift off into a deep, warm sleep in the empty Common Room.

‘..Mione… Hermione!’ I heard a distant voice call.

‘Hermione!’ The familiar voice caused me to open my eyes, finding myself in the empty Common Room. I looked around for the source of the voice.
My eyes locked with Draco Malfoy’s grey eyes. Those beautiful eyes… I sighed to myself getting lost in his stunning eyes.

It seemed minutes until he snapped me out of it. ‘Granger!’ His voice pulled me back to the Common Room.

‘Mm hmm.’ I said straightening in the comfy lounge chair and blinking.
The shadowy Common Room was lit only by the dying flames. I saw his eyes follow mine everywhere I looked.

‘Why are you here?’ I asked getting up.

Draco’s dark shadow towered over me as he stood up from his kneeling position.

‘Yeah, right.’ Draco said, taking his eyes off me and looking at the ground. ‘Ahem, I heard you were looking for me?’

‘Oh yeah. Well, something happened with Snape.’ I told him.

‘Well what is it?’ He asked. I could see the fire reflecting in his eyes... Those eyes were so entrancing.

‘He was sent to Mungo’s, because of the water you spilled!’ I yelled, remembering why I was so angry at him in the first place.

Draco looked down. Could he feel shame?

‘Meh, whatever.’ His response didn’t meet my expectations.

‘Whatever? What time is it?’ I asked heatedly.

He glanced at his watch. ‘One thirty.’ He stated monotonously.

My eyes widened. ‘It’s one thirty in the morning, and you come here now? Where were you all this time? You shouldn’t even be in here? How did you get in?’ I shouted.

‘Whoa, calm down, you want to wake old McGonagall or what?’ Draco asked motioning me out of the portrait.

‘Are you crazy, we’ll get caught!’ I warned him.

He rolled his eyes and produced a quick charm, leaving us invisible to onlookers. Oh right, we just learnt that the other day with Flitwick.

I followed him to wherever he was taking me, ready to burst as he strode quietly, taking no notice of my rage.

He stopped in front of a door, a prefect room which I had only been to a few times.

Malfoy undid the charm and we entered.

It was so messy and creepy inside. There had obviously been a party here, Slytherin’s of course, celebrating their win against Ravenclaw, but the party had died out since it was late. The room was dark and a few couches were sprawled around.
I got an eerie feeling looking around. My need to yell at Draco had ceased.

Four guys were lounging back on chairs, two of them making out with, not so nice-looking girls.

The room reeked of alcohol and smoke.

I looked around and wasn’t surprised to see liquor, beer and vodka bottles lying around.

‘Whoa.’ An ugly guy with cold sapphire eyes said picking up his unfinished bottle. ‘Who’s that Draco? She’s hot.’

I moved a bit closer to Malfoy, feeling he was my only protection; my wand was in the Common Room. But he DID bring me here so it was his job to get me safely out.

‘Can I borrow her for a while Draco? Melissa’s gone to sleep.’ He said while a tall guy chuckled.

Nuh uh. No way are you taking advantage of innocent me. Maybe your ugly Slytherin girls, but not me.

‘Uh,’ Draco paused. Think you!

He was my only key out of this mess. After all, we were out numbered by four drunken guys and I didn’t believe Draco had that much power over them.

I heard light foot steps and the door opened, Pansy walking in.

‘Oh there you are! Draco why’d you leave the party? I’m lonely! Come with me to bed?’ She asked.

What a slu-

‘Yeah, Draco, go with her! We’ll handle this one.’ The tall guy got up and breathed by my ear. The smell of alcohol disgusted me.

The ugly guy got up and touched my back, slowly lowering his hand.

‘Stop it.’ Draco pulled me away from them by the hand.

‘Why?’ The tall guy asked smirking at me.

‘Because…’

‘Because what Draco? Come with me! Leave Granger, they can deal with her!’ Pansy said taking Draco’s arm.

Draco pulled her off. ‘No, I can’t.’

He was still holding my hand.

‘Why? Why won’t you come with me and leave the mudblood with them?’ She asked. I wanted so bad to kick her ****.

‘Yeah Draco! What’s the matter?’ The ugly guy and tall guy came closer. 'Why won't you let me at her?'

Draco tightened his grip on my hand and glanced at me.

‘Because I’m going out with her!’

‘WHAT?’ Came many voices at once, including my own. Thankfully they didn’t hear me.

Draco looked at me, explaining without words this was my way out without getting left with these drunken guys.

‘That’s right, me and Hermione are together!’ He declared clearly.

‘Wait, that’s not possible.’ Pansy said smartly.

Uh oh, did she have this going somewhere?

‘You’re with Carly, Granger’s new best friend. You wouldn’t date her right after Carly.’ Pansy said her voice unsure.

‘Wouldn’t I? I dumped Carly, so Hermione and I are together now.’ Draco claimed putting his arm around my waist and pulled me so we were touching.

I raised my eyebrow at him. He was obviously having fun with this.

‘Yeah right Draco. Why would she go out with you?’ The tall drunk guy asked.

‘Why wouldn’t she? What? Are you saying I’m not good enough for her?’ Draco asked a bit angrily.

I rolled my eyes. He's so thick and offended by the stupidest things ever.

‘Fine, is it true Granger?’ Pansy asked me.

‘Yes.’ I replied.

‘If it’s true, then kiss.’ A more intelligent guy who was less intoxicated said, letting go of his girlfriend. All of them were paying attention to us. Even the made-up girls.

‘Um..’ I looked at Draco who shrugged and smiled. He would have no problem cheating on his girlfriend, but I did cheating on Harry. Above all with Malfoy.

‘Fine.’ He said letting go of my waist.

We stared at each other for a long time, then knowing they were all waiting, Draco tilted his head and pecked me on the lips. Ok, so it wasn’t bad. Whew. Well, what did I expect really?

‘Ok, what was that? Come on, you call that a kiss?’ Drunk guy number four asked. They were like children. All staring at us attentively, as though we were telling a fairly fascinating story to them.

‘Yeah, what are you? In your third year or something? We need to see some French in there.’ Pansy said. ‘It’s pretty obvious you aren’t dating. I could do that with anyone and you could tell.’

Draco looked at me. I stared back and agreed silently.

‘You wanna see kissing? Fine.’ Draco pulled me by the waist, putting his hand on my lower back and looked me in the eyes for my approval. I put my arms around his neck, and I looked back in his own, eager yet nervous silver eyes. I could hear his soft hushed, yet rapid breathing as his face was inches from mine. I was breathing quicker too, my heart was beating fast.

He then pulled me so close I could swear he felt my heart beat. Slowly, closing his eyes, he pressed his warm soft lips on my own, softly, yet so passionately kissing, and I kissed back. All sound vanished and I could only feel his lips and body.
We both remembered the ‘Frenching’ part, so he started, and I didn’t protest, but continued kissing, letting myself taste his sweet lips. I felt like the world stopped.

Slowly, after a long time, he pulled back gently, his sparkling eyes locking with mine. He let me go, and I took my arms off his neck.
I felt like I was floating. I have never been kissed like that before.

I finally got to leave after the kiss. Draco told them that we were going to bed together, and the guys laughed and encouraged us while Pansy looked furious.

We walked through the dark halls together, listening to the snoring portraits.
We stopped in front of my Common Room.

‘Sorry about dragging you into all of that Hermione.’ Malfoy quickly said, smiling forgivingly.

‘It’s ok, we’ll have to fix it all in the morning though.’ I whispered back, and entered the Common Room, after the Fat Lady told me off for being out of bed at two am.
I went up to bed and the floating sensation stayed with me. My mind was filled with thoughts of that kiss. His lips, his body, those eyes…I was addicted.

For one passing moment right before falling asleep, I managed to keep those thoughts out of my head, but once again they entered as I slept.

Once again.....................why the h*ll did Draco take 'mione there????????? Please answer!!!!! ANYONE!!!!!! I am freaking out here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I woke up the next morning and realised what happened was a huge mistake, and why Draco apologised.

I didn’t even think it was a big deal until the morning after; Carly came into the room around lunch to talk to me.

‘You kissed my boyfriend?’ She asked.

I got up. She obviously heard what happened. I knew she was patient though, and understanding, so I told her the story and she forgave me.

‘It’s ok, I’d rather have you kiss him than be raped by those drunk idiots.’ She said hugging me.

‘Does Harry know?’ I asked her remembering I was still with Harry.
’Not yet, but he’ll understand too.’

Luckily she was right. ‘It’s ok Hermione, as long as you didn’t enjoy that kiss. I feel more sorry that jealous of you guys. I mean, you had to kiss Draco Malfoy.’ Harry shivered and put his arm around me.

He didn’t realise half the school would kill to kiss Draco, did he?

We ate our lunch and then went onto the grounds. Harry and Ron sat under a large tree by the lake while Carly and I soaked our feet in the warm water.

It was so nice out; a lot of students were running around, lying there, or splashing water from the lake at each other, just enjoying one of the last days of autumn.

‘Hermione, you know there’s such a thing called lust.’ Carly brought up in another conversation about Harry and I.

‘Lust? Harry and I are in love! It’s not lust.’ I told her sighing, watching the reflective water.

‘If you were in love, you wouldn’t be checking out other guys Mione! I see you looking at Travis all the time. Who can resist?’ Carly asked with her smirk that made me smile.

‘Well it’s not lust and it is love! It has to be.’ I said.

‘I think it’s lust. You can fall out of lust, but not real love.’ She said wisely. ‘Maybe you just want to believe it.’

I rolled my eyes and glanced up where Travis Burke was laughing with his friends. Ok, so maybe I did check out guys a lot. Not my fault though! It was Carly’s for making me so boy crazy.

I Love it!!!!! But still.......I don't understand....why did Draco take Hermione there? What was the whole purpose behind it? What was his reason to put himself and Hermione in danger? And how can Carly and Harry be so understanding? Something is going to happen......I can feel it (well duh!)

to answer some questions, well theres reasons why Carly doesn't mind much that Hermione kissed Draco.
and Harry thinks that it's like a punishment for Hermione to kiss Draco since they supposedly hate Malfoy so much, so he doesn't really care unless she actually liked him.
