Carly and I spent the rest of our time in Hogsmeade together and headed back to Hogwarts after a while.

I met Harry in the Common Room who looked frustrated. I sat down on the couch beside him and he looked at me. ‘I’m sorry Hermione.’

I shrugged. ‘It’s alright.’

‘No, it’s not, I mean, I get this one chance to have a normal date with you and I just ruined it when I left you with Malfoy.’

‘Really, it’s okay!’ I said leaning back on the comfy couch. The room had begun filling with students coming back from Hogsmeade in time for dinner.

‘Well, ok. Wait here.’ Harry got up and left up to the boys’ staircase.
Wonder what he's up to...
He came down a short while later, hands behind his back. ‘I got you something for Valentines day..’
He took his hands out from behind his back and presented me with a small box that was white shiny, glittering and seemed to have red and pink hearts floating around, and random words like love, chocolate, and other Valentines related things popped up in black handwriting.

I was really shocked by the beauty of it. I had seen a lot in the wizarding world, but since I never had a steady boyfriend throughout Valentines day, I never got to see the beautiful things that boyfriends would get their girlfriends.

‘Well, open it.’ He said with a grin.

I smiled at him and excitedly, but slowly opened the small pretty box. I saw a thin gold chain, and took it out gently.

‘Wow…’ I sighed and ran my finger along the small very intricately engraved heart locket dangling from the chain. I clicked the locket open and inside was a picture of me and Harry, laughing and kissing in jackets and scarves. It was a beautiful picture. And then words faded in. It was pretty easy to make out considering the small size of the locket.
Hermione Granger, I’ll always remember that great day. August 2nd, it’s been half a year, and our love is stronger than ever. I’ll be there for you no matter what, love forever, Harry.
‘Oh..’

‘So?’ He asked with a grin.

‘I love it!’ I said with enthusiasm I didn’t feel, and kissed him on the cheek.
Is that how he really felt about our relationship?

Hello! Thanks for being patient and replying! My computer was broken for a while, so I had to post, then send it out, then when I got it back I posted, but it was still broken but now I have it back so I'll post more frequently!

AMAZING!! I've been hooked on reading it all day long, and I can't wait for you to post more. There are just little bits of things that Hermione does that seem out of charecter, but you recovered very quickley, and most of the snippets were explained because Hermione had been hanging out with Carly. So very good job, keep writing! I'm a fan from this moment forward!

I'm a new reader, and omg, your story kept me hopping out of my seat. It's so cute and I love the plot. I can't help but think that Harry might have a thing for Ginny, but I really do hope that Hermione and Draco end up together. The way you write makes their feelings so obvious. I'm a huge sap for happy endings. I can't wait for the next post.

I dont think i have ever gotten anything from a guy on Valentines day. if i ever got something that presant would do perfectly. hearts surrounding, it sounded so lovely. i am in suspense to find out what hermione is going to do about the harry situation. cant wait for next post.

ya harry is a tru playa and i hope he dumps hermione because that way he wouldn't get hurt and hermione would be happy to cause then she could go and be with draco. its a win - win situation. but in the end i think hermione should get her man (draco). He's kool too especially since he's into "muggle" sports =). (balla 4 life)

‘And that’s it! Gryffindor will now face Ravenclaw in the final match for the Quidditch trophy!’ Lee Jordan’s voice echoed through the loud stands.

Ravenclaw had just defeated Slytherin, so now our house would face them.

It was pretty cool outside since March was rolling in quickly. I only needed a thick sweater.

I headed up to the Common Room with Carly, expecting some sort of party. Even though we didn’t play, no doubt they’d be celebrating the fact that Slytherin lost. Our house seemed to want any reason to party these days.

‘What’s that?’ Carly asked a boy in our house.

‘Ice Vodka, in strawberry!’ He replied handing her a bottle.

How these kids get alcohol in so often, beats me. Wait, I’m a prefect! I should have stopped them. Ah, forget it.

‘Hey I’m gonna go!’ I yelled to Carly over screaming people coming in.

She nodded and drank her strawberry vodka.

I descended down the stairway, the loud voices gradually turning into silence as I made my way around the empty corridor. I stared fixedly at the ground. I wasn’t sure where I was going, I just knew it was away from the loud Common Room. Maybe the library would be ok? I practically lived there.

I continued to stare at the ground and ignored the people walking by me. Staring so concentrated on the floor isn’t all that great though.

‘OW!’ A recognizable voice yelled as I bumped into a something hard and was about to fall backwards, so very slowly.

Luckily, my prince in shining armor stuck out his arm, wrapping it around my waist and pulling me right up to his silvery eyes. He studied my face, and my lips were inches away from his own. I’ve never wanted to kiss someone so badly.

‘Hermione.’ Draco said still holding me as though we were in a movie.

Students were stopping and staring at us. We must have looked pretty stupid, me half standing, Draco holding me and bent over staring into my eyes. Well, for me it was just fine.

‘Yeah.’ I mumbled dreamingly and he suddenly looked around at the eyes locked on us.

He stood straight and took his arm off my waist.

I cleared my throat and we stood and waited as the crowd left.

‘Haven’t you ever realized no good comes from staring at the ground? Unless there’s some money of course..’ Draco said with his famous smirk.

It was a friendly smirk, and I couldn’t even imagine that at the beginning of the school year, the nicest thing I would get from him was a glare, followed by ‘filthy mudblood’.

I laughed and brushed my hair out of my face. ‘Yeah, well…’

‘So what are you doing out in the empty halls? Why aren’t you celebrating with Potter and the rest of the bloody Gryffindors?’

I rolled my eyes at him but knew he didn’t mean it as icily as it sounded. ‘I don’t feel like being there.’

hermione and draco finally get together, get married have 20 kids, grow old together, and ginny dies for being such a bugger.
but in the original series, the story has the same outcome but instead of draco and hermione hooking up ron and hermione do.....



and ginny still dies for being a bugger.

Draco nodded. ‘I see, I mean, I wouldn’t want to be in the company of Gryffindors’ either, unless they were pretty girls of course.’

I scoffed at him.

‘Well, I’ve got to go so keep your eyes looking straight Hermione.’ Draco said with a wink and left.

I walked around the school, looking over all the secret passages and stuff. How bored can you be?

After about two hours of doing nothing, I went back to the Common Room where it was almost empty since everyone was drunk or something.

I spotted Harry, Ron, Carly and Ginny on a couch. Things were kind of rocky between me and Harry. Maybe it was cause I still liked Draco?

Ginny was being her flirty self, and she glared at me as I approached. I was tired of hating her. I needed to apologize to her, and…break up with Harry.

Which first?

‘Herms, there you are.’ Carly said smiling.

‘Yes, here I am.’ I said grinning back.

‘Come with me to get some juice?’ She asked and pulled me away to a table where there were different colored drinks.

‘Carly, I want to break up with Harry.’ I told her as she sipped some red juice.

‘Really? Well finally! I mean, I’ve been waiting awfully long you know. You’re still in love with Malfoy.’ She said in a sing song voice.
I rolled my eyes at her. ‘Maybe I am.’

‘Okay, well when are you gonna do it?’ She asked.

‘I don’t know…’

‘Do it now! It’s better now than never, you might as well any ways right?’ She asked.

‘Yeah I guess.’ We went back to the three and I pulled Harry out of the Common Room.

‘What is it Hermione?’ Harry asked with a grin.

He was so happy. I felt like I was taking candy away from a baby.

‘Well,’ I sighed and his grin faded, ‘I think..’

Just do it!! I told myself. ‘I think we should break up.’ I said quickly.

He stared at me, his deep eyes tracing over my face. I stood there awkwardly, hoping he would say something.

He sighed. ‘Okay. It’s for the best right?’ He asked.

I was wondering why he took this so smoothly. ‘What do you mean?’ I asked.

‘You think we should be friends again like we always were?’ He said.

‘Oh well, yes that, and I also like someone else.’ I sputtered.

He smiled. ‘I noticed. Malfoy, right?’

‘Was I that obvious?’ I asked.

He nodded. ‘And I like Ginny. I really couldn't see past us, so I guess I forced myself to believe we were working, even though you always seemed somewhat distracted whenever Malfoy was around.’ He said.

I nodded. But what the heck? He liked Ginny? Oh gosh.. I can’t be mad though, since I liked Draco. But Ginny? After she was being so female doggish?

‘So I guess that’s it?’ He said.

I nodded and kissed him on the cheek, and he embraced me.

‘It’s better this way.’ I said feeling like a huge rock had been lifted off my chest.

Haha, nice try with the prediction, pretty close but not exactly. There's like 3 chapters left I think. This just sort of started the conclusion.

Good post! I'm happy Hermione finally broke up with him... but I still want Ginny to die a slow painful death.
