Hermione

I hurried down the breakfast in the Great Hall with Harry and Ron the next morning, determined to be on time. We sat down in three empty spots at the Gryffindor table. I caught Malfoy’s eye only for a second. He gave me an unsure smile. I suppose it was to make up for yesterday’s performance.

Wait a second, I thought, since when does Malfoy try to make something up to someone?
This thought boggled my mind. Maybe he was beginning to grow up a bit. I would say it was about time.

I gave him a lop-sided smile as I selected a piece of toast and some jam. It was my way of assuring him that it was all right. I really don’t know why I did it, but it just seemed right at the time.

“Who are you smiling at, ‘Mione?” Ron asked curiously. His eyes swept across the Great Hall.

“Uh..myself. Nice day, isn’t it?” I said quickly.

He cocked an eyebrow at me, but to my relief, did not pursue the subject any further.

Draco

Granger was growing on me: I’ll admit it. It seemed that every spare moment I had, she’d pop up. I know it sounds cheesy and stupid, but I couldn’t hide from how I felt. The funny thing was, I don’t know why I was particularly attracted to her. She was brilliant in school, I would reluctantly say, and in my opinion, she wasn’t bad looking. Once I thought about it, I thought she was quite pretty. Her body was nice too. And she had that zeal for life that I could never hope to accomplish. She was just so much more dynamic than all the other girls. Of course, I kept this all to myself. Who’d believe me if I told them I was falling for a Mudblood? They would just laugh and shake their heads. Or, on the worse side, I’d never hear the end of it until my grave.

What could it hurt to try and win her over? I mean, it would be tough, but maybe I could do it. I was certainly capable of doing many things…this couldn’t be any different. Not really.

So I began to devise a plan to make her fall for me; simply for the reason of conquering another girl for my list.

It's obvious that you have big things in mind with this story. I shivered when Ron asked Hermione who she was smiling to. There is going to be some drama on this end. Ron will be devastated.
On the other end, Draco is preparing some approaching techniques and i can't wait to see Hermione's reaction. Is he going to use his usual sleek, arrogant ways or will he surprise us even more and show his soft side???
I like the new nickname, 'Mione, this is new and sounds like Ron.
What surprised me was that Draco seems to be 'digging' more into his feelings, analysing them and is thinking more of the consequences of his actions, whereas Hermione doesn't seem to have realised where she's heading.
Keep up with the story, you have endless possibilities to explore and you are a talented writer...I can't wait!!!
