hey yall! This is Tara back with my 31st FF here on SS! Woot! As usual, this is a Dramione one shot. Hope you like it! Enjoy!

This FF includes lyrics to the song More Than Friends by 3LW.
I sat at the dance, the room so full of happiness and laughter, feeling really sad. I watched Draco and his girlfriend dance to the song that was playing, and just looking at him made me smile. I couldn’t help it. During our sixth year, we had grown so close. He took comfort in me, and we talked often, mostly late at night, because we were scared people would find about us being friends. Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy we’re never meant to be friends. But somehow, we clicked, oddly enough, and we had become great friends, almost better friends than Harry, Ron and I had been. The song ended and another song came on. I knew the song to well, and I muttered the words to the song, trying to find some way for Draco to hear it, but I knew he wouldn’t.

I snapped from my thoughts. “Yes I am, Ronald.”

“Sure,” I replied, and I got up, my dress flowing around.
A slow song had begun to play, and Draco was lovingly holding holding his girlfriend, swaying gently to the song. I wanted so badly to cry, to run to Draco and tell him how I felt. But I wasn’t sure he felt the same way. By the look that he gave his girlfriend, that loving, crazy-about-her look, I knew we would never be More Than Friends. |
