Harry sat there in awe, playing the discussion he just had with Ginny over in his head.

Suddenly the situation seemed so complicated. Who did he really love? Hermione, the one who's always been there. Who's kind and loving and smart like crazy?

Or Ginny, the girl who seems to be made for him. They both liked the same things and seemed to get along wonderful. Not to mention she would always be close by, she's his best friend's sister.

Harry tried to sort through this mess he called his life. He groaned and came to a conclusion, he had to talk to Ginny.

As he trudged up the stairs he began to get nervous. What do I say to her? What can I say to her?

He stopped.

Ginny sat up and wiped away some of her tears. She was convinced she did the right thing...for Hermione.

But then why did it hurt so much? She thought she heard someone coming up but the sound stopped and she forgot about it.

I understand the right thing is sometimes hard to do but this really seems wrong. She shrugged lamely and layed down on her bed face down.

That's when she heard the footsteps again.

Oh come on Potter you can do this! It's Ginny!

Harry took a deep breath, "Okay I can do this."

He began to walk up the stairs again. harry reached her door. He was about to knock when he stopped. Why is this so hard? Again, he summed up some courage and knocked on te door.

"Ginny can we talk?"


I know these last chapters haven't been very eventful but believe me it'll get better this is setting up for it

sorry for being out of topic here.

Draco had prommised Hermione that they would go swimming in the Lake, but he hadn't had time.Finally, one morning, Draco awoke to find Hermione waiting at the foot of his bed.

"Yea babe? What are you doing here this early? It's Saturday." Draco rolled over and tried to fall back asleep.

"You said we'd go swimming." Hermione pouted. Draco shook his head.

"When did I say this?"

"I don't remember, but you promised. Please? Can we go?" Hermione climbed onto the bed and lay down next to him, and tickled his side. Draco gave a little half scream of laughter.

"Stop, that tickles!" Hermione persisted. Draco flailed, and fell off the bed. Hermione looked over the side of the bed.

"So...now that you're out of bed, wanna go swimming?"

"Fine, fine. Just...gimmie a moment to change, ok? You'd better get changed too."

"Wee!" Hermione squealed, and raced out of the room. Draco groaned and looked at the clock. 7:30.

"Good lord." Draco sighed and got up. He pulled off his clothes and pulled on his swim trunks. He came out of his room, carrying a towel. "Hermione, are you ready?"

"I'm coming!" Hermione stepped out of her room, carrying a towel and wearing a tank-top and shorts. "Can we go now?"

"Yes yes, we can go!" Draco laughed, his good spirits returning. "Let's hurry."

Hermione stood by the edge of the Lake, shivering. "Draco? Maybe this asn't such a god idea."

"Actually, now that I think about it, it's perfect. You need to get your memory back, and swimming will help. Now, take those chothes off and get in the water." Draco watched from the Lake.

Hermione pulled off her shirt and shorts to reveal a sparkly blue bikini. Draco admired her flawless figure. Hermione tentitively walked into the water, She laughed at the coldness and tried to ealk to Draco. She gasped when her feet didn't hit the floor. Draco swam over to her.

"That's right, now, first thing, I want you to lay on the water, and place your tummy on my hand." Hermione obeyed. Draco let his hand leave her stomach.

"Draco! I'm going to sink!" Hermione panicked. Draco calmed her down and put his hand back under her stomach.

"Relax. Let your body loosen up. Let it drift on the water." Hermione loosened up, and Draco once more pulled his hand away. Hermione began to float.

"Draco! Draco, I'm doing it!"

Draco's eye caught movement. It looked like a Ravenclaw and a Hufflepuff. They were holding rocks. Draco watched them throw rocks into the Lake, a past activity Draco thought was relaxing. He turned his attention back to Hermione. She was slowly swimming around.

"Good Hermione! You're really coming along." Draco praised her. Hermione grinned. "Hermione, you're swimming out a little too far!"

"What?" Hermione said. She was swimming towards a swirl of water in the middle of the Lake. A tenticle flew up over the water.

"HERMIONE! LOOK OUT!" Draco shrieked. The tenticle grabbed Hermione, and the Giant Squid loomed over the Lake, Hermione in it's tenticle. It waved her around, and flung her across the Lake and into the sand.

"Ginny can we talk?"

Ginny got up and looked at the door. Should I open it?

"What do y-you want?" she said cursing to herself as her voice cracked from crying.

"Ginny I need to talk to you, open the door." he said softly.

Ginny forced herself off the bed and walked over to the door. Her hand hesitated over the door just like Harry's had moments earlier. Just open it! She swung the door open, suddenly face to face with Harry.

"What?" she asked in a -I-have-better-things-to-do voice.

Harry walked pass Ginny and ignored her glares as he sat down on th bed. He looked at her and noticed her eyes were red.He realized she must have been crying and felt horrible.

"Ok," he began but then stopped short.

"Well?" Ginny asked impatiently. Just looking at him brought tears, she looked away.

He took a deep breath, "I just want to say I'm sorry. I'm sorry for being a jerk, I'm sorry for using you, I'm sorry for not caring. Ginny I'm sorry. But I missed Hermione, you know she means a lot to me. She's the best friend I 've ever had," Harry was speaking quickly now, realizations occuring, "but I think that's all she's ever been because there's been someone else who I relate like we were made for each other and that was you, Ginny I love you." he said looking up at her as surprised as she was.

Ginny looked into his eyes and saw pure sincerity. She sat down on the bed next to him and kissed him. Harry kissed her back.

"I love you too." she whispered.

Suddenly there was a POP!

Dobby was there looking traumatized, his face suddenly turned slightly pink, "Oh I didn't wish to interupt sir," he said quickly, "but it's Miss Granger sir, she's been hurt again. This time it's severe." he said urgency back in his voice.

Harry hopped off the bed. He took a hold of Ginny's hand and rushed off to the Hospital Wing.

Hermione was laying in the bed unconcious, Draco sitting in a chair next to her with a worried look. Madam Pompfrey was bustling around looking at various potions for Hermione. They had been like this for nearly an hour.

Harry and Ginny came in quickly, "Oh no." Harry said sadly.

He walked with Ginny up to her, not acknologing Draco's presence.

Ginny as worried as Harry carefull brushed some hair off of Hermione's face. She looked down at Hermione, so fragile.

Suddenly there was a flicker of movement across Hermione's face. Her serene expression turned into a pained one.

Madam Pompfrey noticed, "Oh no!" she cried.
