Hogwarts RPG Name: Charlotte (Charlie) Elizabeth Jamison First | The Magic Rings - Sa16+ This is my first fanfic on the site, please comment... I hope you like it.
---
A girl twisted a ring on her left thumb. She’d had it since her first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She was now going into her sixth year. Before she came to Hogwarts, the girl’s mother used to wear it on a silver chain necklace. On that necklace was always another ring too… her mother still had it. The girl didn’t think about that ring much, just the one she wore. It was an intricate silver band with a black heart in the center.
The girl was Charlotte Jamison, also known as Charlie. Charlie had jet-black hair that was always either up neatly in a ponytail or bun. Rarely was it ever let down, but the few times it was it was always perfectly in place. Charlie was a neat girl; everything about her was neat. Her clothes were always perfectly pressed before she wore them and her earrings always matched, all four of them. Her black Nikes that she always wore were always spotless and her nails were always perfectly painted. Charlie wasn’t just a neat girl; she was a neat freak. Charlie’s eyes sparkled emerald green in comparison to her pale skin. Her dark hair also stood out, making her skin look even paler then it was. Charlie’s mother was Bella Jamison, married to Mathieu Jamison (who’s mother, unfortunately, loved French names). Very lucky for Bella, very unlucky for Mathieu.
Charlie took after her father in looks, but mother in cleanliness. To Bella, cleanliness was not only next to godliness… it surpassed it. To Mathieu, cleanliness was optional. Bella hated it, but loved Mathieu, so she put up with it. Mathieu had black hair that when it wasn’t messy looked odd, so it was always messy. He had unusually pale skin and bright green eyes. Bella had kept brown hair that reached the middle of her back and was always in a tight bun at the very top of her head. She had blazing blue eyes and tan skin. The thing Charlie remembered most about her mother, while Charlie was at school, was that Bella had amazing posture. She always sat and stood up straight. The other thing Charlie remembered was her rings.
When Charlie was little, she used to love the rings that Bella wore on a silver chain around her neck. There were two rings. The one that Charlie now wore on her left thumb and another that was still around her mother’s neck. That one was even more gorgeous. It was silver and with an emerald heart in the middle that matched Charlie’s eyes. Surrounding the heart, on the band, were two silver hands. On the top of the heart was a crown. The thumbs pointed towards the crown. Bella called the ring a ‘love ring’ and told Charlie it was magic. Charlie was used to magic, she had been born with it in her blood. Her mother was a witch, her father was a wizard. But why was this ring so special? Charlie didn’t know, but she knew it was gorgeous.
Bella, Mathieu, and Charlie’s proudest moment was when Charlie got accepted into Hogwarts school. Bella was so proud, she gave Charlie one of her rings, but not the one Charlie really wanted. Charlie didn’t even mind though, she was so happy to have the black-hearted ring.
Charlie was now ready to go into her sixth year of Hogwarts and still wanted the other ring. She still had no idea why it was so magical though. Someone knocked on her door.
“Charlie?” a female voice asked. Charlie didn’t answer, only fiddled with her ring.
“Charlie?” she asked again. Charlie still didn’t answer.
“Charlotte!” the voice said, sharper now.
“Mm, yeah?” Charlie asked, from her bed. Her mother entered the room and sat down next to her on the bed.
“Charlie?” she asked again.
“Yeah?” Charlie asked, looking up at her mom for the first time since she entered the room. Bella was holding something in her hands. A silver chain with a necklace on it, but Charlie didn’t know that.
“Here.” Bella said, stuffing it into Charlie’s hands.
“I want you to have this, it’s an important year, and I… I have to go. I’m leaving. After you are, I’ll stay until you leave. But then… I have to go. I can’t stay here any more. That ring… I wrote instructions, here.” Bella handed a piece of paper to Charlie. She hadn’t been holding the paper there a second before, but Charlie hadn’t noticed.
“Mom, you’re leaving dad?” Charlie asked, wide-eyed. Bella nodded, a tear coming to her eyes.
“I can’t take him anymore. We’ve fought so much over the years, but I’ve tried to keep us together, for you, darling. For you… but I can’t do it anymore. I need to leave. I need to meet someone else; I can’t spend the rest of my life with your father. I’m sorry, Charlie. I really am.” Tears came to Charlie’s eyes as her mother spoke. She didn’t even try to get them to stop.
“How could you?” Charlie asked, after she managed to get words to come out of her mouth.
“Charlie… I still love you, I just… I have to leave. I’m sorry.” Tears streamed down Bella’s cheeks. Her hands were folded in her lap.
“Leave, now.” Charlie said; it was more of a command then a statement though.
“What?” Bella asked, nearly choking.
“You heard me.” Charlie said, refusing to repeat herself. Bella didn’t say another word. She stood up, bent over her daughter to kiss her head, but Charlie leaned away, deflecting the kiss. Biting her lip Bella straightened herself up and left Charlie’s plain room for her own decorated one. She took a wand off her dresser, waved it once to pack her bag, took her bag by the handle and rolled it outside, leaving without another word. Charlie looked at the ring in her hand.
“Why did I want this so much?” she asked herself aloud. She slipped it on her right middle finger and opened the piece of paper. Darling Charlotte, I know by the time you read this I’ve gone, or told you I’m going… so I know you’re very reluctant to read this letter… but I’m glad you’ve finally decided to. My letter is to explain myself, as much as the ring. Your father and I, well, you know we’re so different and we fought all the time, just not in front of you. I don’t know how much of this I’ve managed to actually tell you… but I have to leave. I can’t take your father anymore. His mess, among other things, is killing me. I still love you though, and I hope you visit me over the holidays. I’ll send you my new address once I have it, you’ll probably be at Hogwarts by then. My, my, you’ll be in sixth year! How big you’ve gotten! I miss you already; no matter how long it’s taken you to read this letter. I hope to see you soon. Oh, and about the ring. First of all, it’s called a “Claddagh” ring; it’s an Irish love ring. I got it from my mother, who got it from her mother, who got it from her husband, when he engaged to her. It’s significance for Irish muggles is that when the point of the heart faces you, someone has taken your heart, and you’re in love or not looking for love, at the moment. When the point faces away from you, you’re open to new love, looking for it. This one is very special though, magic. If you say ‘I’m a lover, through and through’ the stone will open a little, and you can say a name… that way, you can talk to anyone, dead or alive. I hope you’ll talk to me, as one of your first people. When you talk to them, the stone will turn black, when you hang up it will go back to its original color. But be careful! If you leave the stone large, anyone can access it and talk to anyone, also dead or alive. That’s bad, because anyone can then access anything in the world, and cause trouble. Be sure to close the portal by saying ‘My love is true.’ The stone will then go back to its original size. I hope to talk to you soon, my dear Charlotte. I love you, always. Love, Mom
Charlie read the letter over three times. She looked at the ring. Stupid ring… has to be so ******* gorgeous! She still loved it, and now appreciated what it did.
“I’m a lover, through and through.” She stated clearly. The ring grew a little and Charlie thought of whom to call.
“Ashley Tchichinello.” She said and the ring turned black.
“He-hello?” a voice asked.
“Ash!” It was Charlie’s best friend, from Hogwarts.
“Charlie?” Ashley asked, “Where are you?”
“I’m at home. I have this new ring… it let’s me talk to people… I’m just wondering, how are you talking to me?” Charlie couldn’t help but wonder how the other end worked, no one had ever contacted her through a ring before.
“I-I’m not sure. It’s like, I hear your voice in my head…” Ashley seemed afraid.
“That’s weird. But I can’t wait for school! I miss you so much and I have the worst news!”
“What happened?” Ashley asked, worried now for her best friend.
“My… my mother left.” Charlie admitted, the truth finally registering.
“Oh, Charlie… I’m so sorry. I can’t wait to see you either. We’ll have a talk session then, and you’ll feel better, I promise. But I need to be there. You know the drill.” Charlie was a pureblood; she was also a Slytherin. Ashley was a muggle-born whose parents were psychiatrists. She was always talking about ‘talk sessions’ and Charlie did find them helpful so she didn’t complain. It was odd, for a Slytherin and a muggle-born to be friends, but Charlie and Ashley were bests. They didn’t often get to talk during the summer, but Charlie was glad they could. Charlie couldn’t send owls, because Ashley’s mom thought they were weird and Ashley couldn’t call because Charlie didn’t know what a ‘telephone’ was.
“I’m just so glad to hear your voice, I can’t wait to see you.” Charlie said, with a sigh. She smiled, but Ashley couldn’t see that.
“Alright, then. I’ll see you at school?”
“Deal.” Charlie promised. Ashley was a Gryffindor but Charlie didn’t care, they always found ways to meet up. The first met on the train to Hogwarts, their first year. Charlie was in a compartment by herself and Ashley had nowhere to sit. They became best friends instantly and even though they were put into separate houses; they were still best friends. Charlie ended the conversation by saying, “My love is true.” The ring was obviously meant for lovers to speak wherever they were, even if one was dead, but Charlie had no problems calling her best friend with it. The ring shrunk and turned green again.
“Excellent.” Charlie smiled. She started packing, only a week until Hogwarts! Post Two Post Three Post Four Post Five Post Six Post Seven Post Eight Post Nine Post Ten Post Eleven Post Twelve Post Thirteen Post Fourteen Post Fifteen Post Sixteen Post Seventeen

Hogwarts RPG Name: Charlotte (Charlie) Elizabeth Jamison First | Finally! Hogwarts time! Charlie grabbed her bag by its handle; it rolled, and started running down the stairs.
“Charl-“ a male voice started but Charlie ignored it. Since her mother left she had talked to neither her mother nor father and didn’t plan to start now. Even if she was leaving for four months, or more if she didn’t come home for the holidays (which she wasn’t planning on doing). Charlie could bring herself to Kings Cross Station; it’d be no problem. She’d call the Knight Bus. Living in a non-muggle society could do great things. Charlie held her wand out in front of her.
“Lumos.” She said softly. Maybe she was hoping the ministry wouldn’t hear her? It didn’t matter, the Knight Bus came rushing by her, having to back up – it was going so fast – only a few seconds later. A pimple-faced teenager opened the door and began to speak.
“Stuff it, I need to go to Kings Cross Station.” Charlie said hastily. She didn’t have much patience, she wanted to get to the train and Stan Shunpike was not going to stand in her way. For a normally polite girl, she could be awfully rude. Stan grumbled and closed the door as the girl got in with her bag. Charlie sat on a bed, seeming not to notice that the bus was slamming around. Finally, the bus got to the station.
“Thank you.” Charlie said gruffly as she got off the bus and ran into the station, ticket in hand. She rushed right to the barrier where she almost ran into two other wizarding families. Both were purebloods, and both were fighting.
“Just let us get on through the barrier!”
“You don’t deserve to.”
“Just wait until the Ministry hears about this one…”
A cackle, “Like I’m afraid of the Ministry? They don’t scare me and neither do you. If you would like me to move, make me.” Charlie cleared her throat towards the two fathers that were fighting. One was redheaded and slightly heavy-set and the other was tall and thin with flowing white-blonde hair. The redhead man was named Arthur Weasley and he was guarding his family of a heavy-set woman with red hair and two children (though Charlie knew there was more). One of the children was tall with the same red hair; he was also pretty gangly and had green eyes. That one was Ron, he was in Charlie’s year. The other child was Ginny; she was a year younger. She was shorter, and thin with straight red hair and green eyes as well. Anyone could see she was extremely pretty. The other family was the Malfoys. The father, Lucius. A petite woman who also had white-blonde hair. Both had grey eyes. The woman was Narcissa. Their child was Draco, also in Charlie’s year. He was in Slytherin, also like Charlie. He was definitely the hottest boy in the grade, in Charlie’s book. He was tall, thin, he had a very angular face but for him it worked. He, like his parents, had white-blond hair and grey eyes. Everyone in both families looked at Charlie.
“Can I help you?” Lucius asked.
“Yes, I don’t give a damn if you two fight, but I have to get on the train to Hogwarts before it leaves.” She stated simply. Lucius was shocked, and stepped away. After Charlie went through the barrier, the Weasley family came, and then the Malfoy family followed.
“’Bye!” Mrs. Weasley called after her (highly embarrassed) children.
“Bye.” Mrs. Malfoy said to her son. Charlie had no one to say good-bye to her this year, but she didn’t care. She just got on the train and went to her usual, empty compartment. 13, unlucky in the wizarding world, always empty.
“Impressive.” Someone said. It was a boy, Charlie could tell just by hearing it while she put her trunk on the rack above the seats. She didn’t know who the boy was though.
“Me putting up my trunk?” Charlie asked, as she spun around. It was Draco Malfoy. He chuckled.
“No, yelling at my father. And the Weasley father, not that he’s a big threat.” Draco had been leaning on the doorpost, but now just let himself in. He looked around the compartment.
“No one to sit with?” he asked her. Wow, Draco had never even talked to Charlie before, and now here he was… in her compartment.
“What’s it to you?” she asked in a huff as she sat down. Draco shrugged.
“Not much, actually.” He answered smoothly. In her head, Charlie swooned.
“Well, yes, I’m expecting someone.” Charlie replied.
“Someone…? As in one person?” Draco asked, though continued, “Then you won’t mind if I stay.”
“Actually I-“ Draco cut Charlie off by looking her, and she stopped. Draco raised an eyebrow.
“You won’t like my company.” Charlie shrugged.
“I won’t?” Draco asked.
“No, she’s a muggle-born. I’m not stupid, I know you hate them.” She said.
“Well, I could give them a try.” Draco smirked. Charlie nearly died.
“Then you can stay, but if you insult her, even once, I’ll hex your balls off.” Charlie smirked in return, just as Ashley came in, hauling her own trunk. Ashley was very girly and had tons of make-up and clothes (that she wouldn’t even get to wear, considering there was a uniform).
“What’s he doing here?” Ashley asked, wrinkling her nose.
“Way to greet a guest.” Draco said, smirking still.
“He asked to sit with us.” Charlie answered. Ashley looked right at him.
“You know I’m a muggle-born, right??” She asked, pointedly.
“Yes.” Draco answered coolly. Ashley shrugged.
“Well, ‘lo then. I’m Ashley.” She introduced herself.
“Draco.” He said in reply.
“I know who you are.” Ashley said quickly.
“Ok then.” Draco answered. That was mostly how the rest of the trip went, Ashley and Draco bickering in their own ways. Ashley snapping at Draco and Draco calmly reflecting her insults or accusations.
Towards the end of the ride Ashley turned to Charlie, “What about-“
“Not now.” Charlie cut her off, “We have to get dressed anyways. If you’ll excuse us Draco, we change in here.” Draco leaned back in his seat, hands behind his head.
“I don’t mind.” He said, actually smiling now.
“Well, we do.” Ashley quipped. Draco shrugged.
“Please?” Charlie almost begged.
“Yes’m.” Draco answered, his smile changing back to a smirk. “I’ll be in the next compartment if you need me.” He said as he got up and left.
“Hey.” Charlie said, before he opened the door. He turned his head back to look at her.
“Do you even know my name?” she asked.
“Charlotte, right?” Draco said, knowing it was right.
“Yeah. You can call me Charlie.” She said and grinned.
Charlie pulled the blinds down once Draco left and turned towards her trunk.
“So tell me what happened while we have privacy.” Ashley begged.
“My mother left. Forever. I’ve pretty much gotten over it by now.” Charlie said, she didn’t really want to talk about it anymore, even though she had been looking forward to this only a few hours before.
“A-are you sure?” Ashley said, slightly hurt. Charlie had never broken a talk session before.
“Yeah, I really don’t want to talk about it. Can we just change?” Charlie asked. Without waiting for an answer, she pulled her trunk down and took out her school robes.
“You like Draco?” Ashley said, more of statement then a question. Charlie didn’t answer for a moment, just stripped out of everything but her underclothes. She picked up her pleated school skirt and stepped into it, slightly stopping.
“Yes.” She said, smiling. Charlie continued dressing.
“What do you see in him anyways?” Ashley asked, also beginning to change. Charlie pulled on her sweater vest over her white button-up blouse. She rolled up the white cuffs of the sleeves.
“He’s cute. And he’s sweet.” Charlie answered, pulling on socks and starting on her shoes.
“He is not! Did you see him this whole train ride?!” Ashley asked, nearing hysterical.
“Yes, he was perfectly sweet.” Charlie said, buttoning up her black dress shoes. Ashley scoffed, but stopped commenting and instead just got dressed. When she was done, Charlie opened the blinds and went over into the next compartment.
“Well, don’t you look beautiful?” Draco said, smirking from his seat between two Slytherin girls, both in their year. Charlie blushed and the girls sitting next to Draco glared menacingly.
“You can come back if you want.” Charlie said, looking at the girls surrounding him.
“I’d love to.” Draco said, getting up and going back into the other compartment.
“Thankfully, we’re almost at Hogwarts.” Ashley said as the others came back inside. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Charlotte (Charlie) Elizabeth Jamison First | “Firs’ years ova’ here!” A loud, booming, male voice called.
“Hello, Hagrid!” Ashley waved. No one noticed Draco wrinkle his nose when she said hello. Draco waved Charlie over to a carriage. She went over smiling, grabbing Ashley by the wrist. Draco seemed a little disappointed at that, but Charlie didn’t notice. Once in the castle, Draco led Charlie to the Slytherin table. Ashley was a little hurt as she went over to the Gryffindor table to sit with Harry, Ron, and Hermione, some of her other friends.
“You mind if I sit with you?” Draco asked Charlie. She hadn’t known he was so polite!
“Sure.” Charlie shrugged. Draco sat next to Charlie as the line of first years started marching in behind Professor McGonagall. The Sorting Hat was placed on a stool in the front of the hall. The first years looked so small and terrified. All of the sixth years knew the routine like the back of their hands. The hat sung and the first years gasped and screamed. Professor McGonagall stepped up and called the first name.
“Anduckia, Jennifer.” A small girl stepped up timidly. “GRYFFINDOR!” the hat shouted, all the Gryffindors clapped. This went on through “Webber, Jeremy” (Ravenclaw) “Xavier, Nick” (Hufflepuff) “Young, Mariana” (Hufflepuff) and “Zen, Dianna” (Slytherin). Charlie yawned and Draco smiled at her. He hadn’t been watching the first years at all, only Charlie, but she didn’t notice; she had been watching the first years or sleeping. If she wasn’t doing either of those she was looking over at Ashley who kept glaring at her, and whispering who-knows-what to whom the Slytherins referred to as the “Golden Trio”. Charlie couldn’t help grumbling. Her hair was up as always, but she grabbed the back and twirled it around her hand a few times. After a little while, through Dumbledore’s usual speech, Draco grabbed her hand.
“You’re distracting.” He whispered in Charlie’s ear, she could practically hear him smirk. Charlie only smiled and turned around.
“Oh, really?” she asked.
“Yes, really.” Draco said, and as she had predicted, he was smirking.
“Well, what are you going to do to make me stop?” Charlie whispered playfully, they had to be quite during their Headmaster’s speech. Draco raised an eyebrow.
“There are a few things I could do, I’m trying to see which one wouldn’t get me smacked.” He whispered playfully as well.
“Why don’t you try one?” Charlie asked softly, this time much more seriously.
“Alright.” Draco said, also quietly and leaned in slowly, touching his lips to hers. After a minute or so they separated.
“What d’you know? That DID make me stop.” She said, grinning widely.
“I’m glad it worked.” He said.
“I-“
“FOOD!” Charlie was cut off by a bunch of gasps and screams and yells.
“Food.” Charlie repeated, with a grin.
“Indeed.” Draco responded. He was very… proper. Charlie looked at the empty plate in front of her and the mounds of food already starting to disappear – not by magic, by hungry students. Charlie took a bowl and started scooping food onto her plate. As she ate, Charlie thought about her first year at Hogwarts. How terrified she was to be brought into this huge hall and not knowing what at all to expect.
“Jamison, Charlotte!” A six-years-younger Professor McGonagall had called. She was shaking as she went over to the hat and it was placed on her head. It had taken a long time deciding on her. “SLYTHERIN!” the hat finally screamed. The Slytherins had clapped and she had walked over to the table, sitting down at an edge of the table by herself. At that point, she had been slightly upset, wishing she were in Gryffindor with that cute boy, Harry Potter. Of course he was famous, but mostly she just thought he was cute. She still thought so, but knew that Draco was MUCH hotter, and she was no long her upset. She hadn’t been upset with being in Slytherin since the first semester of her first year.
“Charlie?” Draco asked.
“Hm?” Charlie said, coming out of her daze.
“I asked if you were actually eating.” Draco repeated.
“Oh, uh… yeah. Sorry, living in the past.” Charlie sighed, but smiled. Draco smiled as well.
“Remembering your first year?” he guessed. Charlie nodded.
“I remember that. I saw you get sorted and was so glad you were in Slytherin, I knew I would be… I wanted you to be in the same house as me.” Charlie could have sworn for a moment that he blushed, but it had gone away in a second and was replaced by a smirk. Charlie smiled, blushing a bit herself.
“Well, I’m glad I got sorted into Slytherin too.” Charlie grinned wider. Draco smiled and leaned in a little and kissed her again. Charlie let him, enjoying it thoroughly. Ashley looked over, she was fuming, but Charlie didn’t notice at all. Ashley felt she was getting blown over for DRACO MALFOY? What could she EVER see in him? Charlie just thought, ‘Finally, he notices me’. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Charlotte (Charlie) Elizabeth Jamison First | It was as if Draco and Charlie had just been glued to each other’s hips. The only place they hadn’t gone together was the bathroom and (to Draco’s displeasure) to bed. He offered once, but Charlie only laughed, assuming he was joking and dismissed the matter. Ashley hated what she called the ‘new Charlie’. People started calling her ‘Charlotte’ again, because Draco always would.
“Charlotte, baby.” He would coo while they sat on the couch in the Slytherin common room, right before he kissed her. Some still called her ‘Charlie’, but she didn’t hate the name ‘Charlotte’ so much anymore.
“Hey, Charlotte?” Someone called disdainfully.
“Yeah?” Charlie asked, not picking up on the hateful manner of the voice.
“Come ‘ere. And leave your boyfriend over there.” It was a girl. Charlie went over to her.
“Ash!” Charlie grinned and tried to hug her, but Ashley pushed her away.
“Now you wanna chat?” Ashley asked, laughing bitterly.
“I’ve never not wanted to.” Charlie said, her smile fading a little.
“Oh, really?” she asked cynically.
“Uh, yeah… really?” Charlie doubted herself now. Ashley rolled her eyes.
“All you’ve done is hang out with your boyfriend. You don’t want to talk to me.” Ashley said ‘boyfriend’ with so much hatred… it wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. It was true, Draco and Charlie were practically attached, but Charlie never pushed Ashley away, or so she thought.
“I just wanted to say, that I’m making it official. We’re not talking anymore, we’re not FRIENDS anymore. You’re friends with Malfoy and I’m friends with the good guys, Harry, Ron and Hermione.”
“Are you saying that Draco isn’t good?” Charlie asked, offended at that. Ashley laughed menacingly.
“Yes, I’m saying that. And I absolutely LOVE how that’s all you focus on.” She laughed again. Charlie flipped her hair off her shoulder and spun on her heel, leaving. Ashley grabbed her arm and hissed in Charlie’s ear.
“I was your best friend, now I’m your worst enemy.” The words echoed in Charlie’s head, reverberating off the sides. Charlie was sitting close to Draco on the couch in front of the fire when she finally told him.
Draco laughed, “I knew she was trash.” He said. Charlie sat up and moved away from him a little bit.
“Because she’s muggleborn?” Charlie asked angrily. Draco shrugged.
“I admit, that was part of it… but her attitude towards me when I first met her. I knew.” Draco promised. Charlie softened just a little bit and snuggled back into Draco’s arms.
“I just… I’ve been best friends with her for five years! And now… it’s- I just don’t know.” Charlie leaned into Draco and he stroked her hair. It was down now. It had been lately. Draco had gotten Charlie to loosen up a little bit. She now let her hair down, literally – and figuratively. She buried her face in his chest and cried. Her best friend was gone.
“It’s ok.” He whispered in her ear, “you have me now.” Moving his hand to her face, he tilted her up and kissed her. Charlie was embarrassed, she was getting Draco’s face all wet with tears, but she couldn’t help but smile. The two were stretched out on the couch, kissing until they fell asleep. Charlie woke up by a lot of voices that were talking in the common room. She squirmed a little bit, then realizing she was on the couch. She had a blanket over her and Draco was lying under her.
“You think they did?” Someone whispered to someone else, and some others were giggling. Draco woke up with a yawn only a moment after Charlie. He looked at the crowds and assumed.
“Can we HELP you with something?” Draco snapped, and everyone stopped whispering and giggling and went down to breakfast in silence. Lucky for Charlie it was Saturday and she’d probably get some sleep later in the day. Draco pulled on his ear for a minute in silence; it was a nervous habit of his.
“Er, sorry…” He said, and he did seem genuinely sorry.
“It’s ok.” Charlie said, “It was my fault too.”
“Yeah, well, I did wake up a while before you… I could’ve, er, left or something… instead I got the blanket. Or I could have … had one girl take you upstairs or something, or brought you to the boys dorm and hid you. Or something… god, I probably trashed your rep.” Draco was pacing now, he really was sorry. Charlie smiled; she went over and took his clenched hands into her own. She squeezed them softly and reassuringly.
“It’s ok.” She said, and went up onto her tiptoes to kiss him. He smiled against her lips. Draco took his hands out of hers and wound them around her waist. Charlie put her arms around Draco’s neck. She pulled her head away for a moment.
“I love you.” She said softly, tentatively.
“I-I…” Charlie should have known. Draco had problems with commitment. Once she said that, she knew it was over.
“I love you too.” He finally whispered in response. She stared at him incredulously, and then broke out into a grin.
“Let’s go to breakfast.” He suggested, a little woozy from his statement. Charlie nodded and took his hand. |

Laughing. Everywhere. No matter where she went, Charlie couldn’t escape the laughing. It seriously made her want to cry. She was considered as the “school shv00t” now. She didn’t know why, Draco (she knew) had slept with other girls, and other girls had slept with Draco and other boys, and THEY weren’t shv00ts. Only Charlie. It wasn’t like she even really slept with him! Charlie hated it. She had tried avoiding Draco, but it didn’t help much… not to mention she couldn’t get very far away from him.
“Charlie!” he called; she didn’t turn around. He grabbed her arm and pinned her against the wall in the common room.
“Draco, let me go.” She complained.
“Tell me why you’re avoiding me.” He said, moving closer to her.
“I’m… I’m not.” She said, adverting her eyes from his.
“Don’t lie to me. I know you are. Now tell me why.” He said, pressing his body even closer to hers. Charlie bit her lip.
“The laughing.” She muttered softly.
“What?” Draco asked.
“The LAUGHING!” Charlie said
“I thought you didn’t care about your rep.?” Draco asked, smirking.
“I lied.” Charlie said quietly.
“What?” Draco asked her to repeat.
“I LIED!” Charlie yelled. Draco only smirked more and leaned in and kissed her. Charlie tried to fight back, but absolutely couldn’t. She loved Draco’s kisses far too much. Draco held Charlie by her waist and lifted her against the wall. He picked her up and brought her over to the couch, laying her down on top of him. They kissed for another long while, before she just let her head lay on Draco’s bare chest. His white school shirt had been unbuttoned a little while before.
“You know… you’re getting blamed for something you didn’t do.” He said softly.
“Mmm.” Charlie agreed.
“We could actually-“
“Don’t even suggest it.” She interrupted him. “I will not sleep with you. You see, I’m already a shv00t and I didn’t actually do anything. No matter what I do I’m wrong, and I don’t want to be any more of a shv00t.”
“They already think you did it though… if you did it would just stop them from lying.”
“They’d have power over me!” Charlie protested.
“Not if you actually wanted to.” Draco pointed out.
“Who said I did?” Charlie asked indignantly. Draco looked slightly hurt.
“I’m not saying I don’t, I… just not yet. Not, yet.” Charlie tried apologizing. Draco didn’t look at her.
“D-do you want to sleep with me?” she asked. Draco looked back at her.
“Yes.” He said strongly, finally.
“Because I’m just someone to have sex with? Or because you actually love me?” Charlie asked.
“Because I actually love you.” He said powerfully. Charlie wriggled herself up to reach his lips and kissed him softly.
“I love you too.” She whispered. “Maybe soon, but not now.” Draco nodded.
“Everyone will be coming back from dinner soon,” he told her, “you might want to get up. We’ll finish this later.” Charlie nodded. She got up, straightening her shirt and kissing Draco on the cheek.
“I’m glad you understand.” She said softly. He nodded sullenly and started buttoning up his shirt as Charlie went upstairs. She lay on her bed, like she had been sick. Draco sat pouting on the couch.
“What’s wrong?” everyone asked Draco as they came into the common room. He just shrugged them all off.
“Nothing.” He would answer gruffly. Some of the girls went up to Charlie.
“What happened?” It was Pansy Parkinson. The blond girl was always on Charlie’s case about Draco.
“You hurt him didn’t you?! You broke his heart! You vench… you vench!” Pansy shrieked.
“Pansy. Chill. He’s fine.” Charlie mumbled, not fully believing it herself.
“You didn’t break up then?” Pansy was slightly hurt. Charlie shook her head. Pansy was genuinely upset.
“You hurt him, he’ll break up with you.” Pansy promised. Charlie just nodded her head sympathetically.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Charlotte (Charlie) Elizabeth Jamison First | ‘Could she be right?’ Charlie found herself wondering. She would walk around the castle just wondering that to herself. It was true; she hadn’t seen Draco in two days now. He was obviously avoiding her. When she saw him, what he going to break up with her? Oh, probably. That made her only want to avoid him, too. Unfortunately, that was not Charlie’s strong point; if she wanted to avoid people, she usually found them. Just like the person she wanted to see last at this moment, in an abandoned hallway, and it wasn’t Draco. After later thinking, Charlie wouldn’t have minded meeting Draco in an abandoned hallway…
It was dark, nighttime, and she should have been back in her common room, but she wasn’t. When no one else was around, Charlie could be stealthy and quiet so she wasn’t really worried about getting caught.
“Hello, Charlotte.” A soft voice hissed. Charlie jumped and clapped a hand to her mouth to stop her from screaming.
“What do you want?” Charlie asked. She still couldn’t see the girl, but Charlie knew it was Ashley, just by the sound of her voice. Ashley waited a while to answer.
“I hear you and your boyfriend are on the verge of breaking up.” She finally said, carefully.
“We are not.” Charlie answered quickly, instinctively almost. Ashley laughed softly.
“Come here, Charlie.” Ashley whispered, to Charlie it sounded more like a snake hiss. Charlie walked a little towards the voice tentatively.
“Now, don’t lie to me, Charlotte. I know what’s right, and what’s wrong. You’re avoiding him, and he’s avoiding you. You’re very alone now. The Slytherin girls aren’t your friends because you have or had Draco. The Slytherin boys aren’t your friends, in case of making Draco mad… or you’ve hurt their best friend, or he’s spread rumors about you. The rest of the school hates you, because you’re a Slytherin. I’m all you have, Charlie, so don’t lie to me.” Ashley said softly. Charlie tried to protest, but as Ashley spoke she realized it was true. Tears were pushing at her eyes, but Charlie was determined not to let them fall.
“I don’t have you.” Charlie finally managed, weakly.
“Of course you do, you idiot. Don’t you realize I’m still ALWAYS here when you need someone?!” Ashley asked, nearing shouting now. Charlie realized this was also true.
“Only to mock me.” She protested. Ashley cackled and shook her head from side to side.
“Poor, naïve girl,” Ashley muttered under her breath, “you really think everyone has a happy ending, don’t you?? Of course not! How much do you really think I could fit in with ‘The Golden Trio’? They don’t want me. I’m just as lonely as you are.” Ashley said this harshly, but it was really a confession.
“Ash…” Charlie said softly, “I never wanted for you to leave.”
“Of course not.” Ashley said sarcastically. “You only spent every moment of everyday with someone you KNEW I couldn’t stand.” Charlie sighed.
“Ash, it wasn’t like that. I … I love him.” Charlie admitted to the first person, other then Draco himself.
“Well, now you’ve lost him. And if I wasn’t so ******* desperate you would have lost me too.” Charlie was very appreciative all of a sudden.
“Ashley… can we just… put Draco behind us? I obviously can’t talk to him, and I won’t talk about him, or even think about him. Things can be the way they always were… with the boyfriends we never had.” Charlie tried to smile. Ashley couldn’t help but smile as well.
“Alright. And with that ring, you can call me, so if we still have anything to say to each other… we can talk all the time.” Ashley said. She loved Charlie’s ring. She thought Charlie didn’t use it enough, since she only used it to call Ashley, who she could see. Ashley knew she would have called her mother, who was dead, but Charlie wouldn’t let her use the ring. She wouldn’t let ANYONE use the ring. So, Charlie and Ashley went back to their dormitories. Charlie was smiling, and so was Ashley. Especially when Charlie used the ring to call Ashley.
“Hey, Ash.” Charlie said.
“Charlie! This is fun.” Ashley said. It was just like old times now, with more communication. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Charlotte (Charlie) Elizabeth Jamison First | Thank you, Lauren! I'm glad you're reading and I hope you continue too I'm hoping to gain fans, but it doesn't look likely at the moment Well, anyways, if you like this, maybe you'll like my Ginny/Draco ficlets too so I encourage you to read/comment those too! But if you have to choose one... this story needs more fans, lol.
--- “Hey, Jamison.” Someone yelled. Charlie groaned. She ignored whoever it was, hitching her bag over her shoulder.
“Jamison!” they yelled again, someone came from behind her and grabbed her arm, “I’m trying to talk to you.” The voice was sharp. Charlie turned to look at them, a boy, Draco Malfoy.
“What do you want, Malfoy?” she asked.
“Onl last name terms, are we?” he chortled.
“You started that.” She managed to mumbled. Draco smirked.
“I s’pose I did. Well, anyways, I’ve been trying to talk to you for days.”
“Have you? I hadn’t noticed. I thought you were trying to avoid me,” Charlie rolled her eyes.
“No, I’ve been trying to-“
“Don’t lie to me. I haven’t seen you in weeks and I haven’t been avoiding you.”
“How do I know you’re not lying to me?” Draco challanged. Charlie rolled her eyes again.
“It doesn’t matter if you believe me. Now if you’ll EXCUSE me!” she pulled her arm back from him and kept walking.
“*******.” He muttered as she stormed away. He’d have to find a better way to get her next time. But how? He grumbled as he walked.
“Drakie-kins!!” a high-pitched voice squealed. Draco groaned now as a girl waved at him and ran up to him, hugging him tightly and nearly squeezing his guts out as she kissed him on the cheek.
“Er, hi Pansy…” he mumbled. She giggled at him just saying her name.
“How’ve you been DOING?!” she asked excitedly, “I heard you broke up with the Jamison girl, and if you ask me it’s –“
“I don’t believe I asked you.” Draco said and walked away. Pansy looked hurt, but only huffed and flipped her blond hair over her shoulder and walked in the opposite direction.
“Why is he so mean to me?!” she wailed. Draco went towards the common room. It was almost dinner time.
‘What if… what if I could get her alone… make it so she couldn’t leave…’ Draco thought. He waited.
Sometime later, Charlie came around the corner, ready for dinner as usual, Draco grabbed her arm and pushed her into a closet before she could scream he shut himself inside the door.
“Colloportus!” he said first, locking the door shut, “Muffliato!” he added, so no one could hear her screams.
“LET ME OUT!!” she shrieked, “DRACO MALFOY, YOU LET ME OUT OF THIS CLOSET THIS INSTANT!!!” he had no words. Instead, he just pressed against her and kissed her. She tried to fight it, but eventually just gave in while he kissed her lips, her neck, her ear…
“Draco…” she said softly.
“Don’t talk,” he told her, “no yelling, no complaining. Just kissing.” He demanded. She pushed his shoulder with a hand a little to back him up. The closet was a small space, so there still wasn’t much room, but it was much easier to think without him kissing her neck. It wasn’t that she didn’t like it… it was just… distracting.
“Draco, we have to talk.” Charlie told him. He moaned.
“Why talk?” he asked, “Why can’t you just kiss me? And we’ll just go through everything as usual?”
“Because we can’t. We know it happened… and I’ve changed.”
“In a week?” Draco asked.
“Yes, in a week! When we… er, disagreed… I made up with Ashley and you know she doesn’t like you, and I do believe she actually has reason.” Charlie said stubbornly.
“Are you saying you don’t like me?” this was a new concept to Draco, it didn’t happen to him… ever. Girls were always in love with him, and those who weren’t, he wasn’t interested in. And everyone was interested in him, whether they admitted it or not. Draco knew it, he was attractive, and awfully seductive.
“N-no… I’m not. That’s the problem!” Charlie sighed dramatically, “I DO like you. And that’s the biggest problem of all. I don’t want you to break my heart again.”
“Again? We fought! All couples fight.”
“It’s more then that, Draco. I just don’t think… I don’t think I’m right for you.” She told him.
“Please… let me out.” She begged.
“Charlie, we need to talk about this.” He begged.
“I believe we just did.”
“I’m not letting you leave until we solve it.”
“You can’t stand being rejected, can you?” she asked.
“No! I can’t. And you’ll forgive me.” He swore. “You will. I’ll let you out now, but don’t think I won’t be back, so don’t even try to ignore me.” Draco pointed his wand at the door and undid the spells from before, and Charlie walked out of the closet, biting her lip. She was nervous, and confused. |

xoxLauren | Thank you, Lauren. I have to say... I would never be as strong as Charlie either... if Draco pulled me into a closet and tried to snog me... well, I'd be like a screaming fan girl and snog him back in a heartbeat . He is a huge hottie! I <3 Draco.
I'm glad you like the story and get as MANY people as you can to read! The more the merrier, of course. And the next chapter begins... ---
How would he get her? He had to. There had to be a way. She’d have to give in SOMEtime. Everyone gave into Draco’s bad-boy charm eventually. It was true, that he was just too hot not to. That couldn’t be denied and he knew it. But not Charlie… How could he get her to fall back in love with him? After he’d avoided her… well, she thought he did. Really he just needed a little while to think. GOD! How stupid! He should have just told her! Goddammit! Why did he have to do that? But what good was it to beat himself up over that? It wasn’t going to help. Now he had to stop focusing on what he did WRONG and she what he could do to make it RIGHT. What could he do? Normally if he had just told a girl he wanted her she’d be on him in a second, and if that didn’t work and he pulled her into a closet and kissed her… she’d nearly die with happiness. What did you do after being rejected twice like that? Draco decided. He needed help.
But who to ask? He had needled it down to two people, Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley. Harry was (Draco couldn’t help but laugh at this) rejected often, and would know how to cope. And being a guy, he might know how to get a girl… but Ginny WAS a girl, and would know exactly what Charlie would want. Not that either would be willing to help him. He started with Ginny. Being a girl, she wouldn’t be able to resist his charm either. Draco started a letter.
‘Dear Ginny,’ too formal? It didn’t matter, just better to write it and get it over with. ‘Right now, you don’t know who I am. I’m afraid if you do, you won’t help me. Please, don’t let that stop you from reading the letter though. I need help. Desperately. Girl help. A girl rejected me, twice, but I’m in love with her. I’m not used to this and I need her. I know in your heart you are kind, even if I wasn’t, but I’m willing to change if you’ll help me. Meet me by the lake at 8, after dinner, if you’ll help. I’ll wait only until 9 before leaving again… so please do be prompt… not that I’m trying to be rude or anything…’ Oh god, how pathetic, Draco thought and continued, ‘anyways. See you at the lake tonight, hopefully.’ He sealed the letter and went up to the owlry. Even though Ginny was in the same school, the best way to send an anonymous letter was by owl. His own owl, the originally named Hoot, came flocking over to him, but he pushed the small black owl away.
“Not today. She can’t know who sent it. Hey! You! One of you school owls! Come ‘ere!” Draco yelled at them. A reluctant, bland, boring, brown barn owl took it’s time coming over to Draco and even more reluctantly stuck out it’s leg.
“Ginny Weasley, in this school, Gryffindor common room. BEFORE dinner!” Draco commanded it as he tied on the letter, then away the bird flew. Without acknowledging his owl at all, Draco left the owlry.
“Please let her show up!” Draco begged himself, quietly.
“Let who show up where?” Pansy asked, grinning widely, right in front of him as he rounded the corner. Draco nearly jumped he was so surprised by her.
“Oh, hi Pansy. No one… just, er, sending a letter.” Draco said, and coughed, trying to get past her, but she wouldn’t let him.
“Right.” She said, winking at him. She thought that he wanted HER to show up!
“Er, Pansy… I’ve gotta go.” Draco said, and pushing her arm a little (which in turn caused her to swoon), Draco moved past her, hurrying down the stairs. He ran to his next class, eagerly awaiting until after dinner with his meeting with Ginny. |

| Draco Malfoy getting help from a Weasley? Never thought I'd live to read that in a fanfiction. Although, i thought the same thing about Hermione and Draco, and here i am, writing my own Hermione and Draco fiction. Oh boy, Pansy will be mad when she doesn't get an owl from Draco. Oh well, it's Pansy, who cares? Certainly not me.
I think Ginny will see right through Draco's letter and know it's him. Ginny's like that, haven't you noticed? But, it's your story with your point of view. Ginny will know it's him, but go to the lake anyways out of the goodness of her heart. My predictions, only.
