Woo! This is the first chapter typed up on my new laptop
I don't have word yet so there is no spell check, so if there are spelling errors, sorry

Neva's secret

Luna dashed up the stairs to the Slytherin Girl's dorm room. Flinging the curtains back from around her bed she wrenched open the suitcase she used to hold the few earthly posessions she had and managed to pull out an old set of quidditch robes that she had managed to buy from one of the younger slytherins who didnt want to sign up for the quidditch team but their parents had baught them robes anyway.

She was about to run from what she thought was the empty dorm room when she noticed Neva curled up in ball with her pillow. Luna hesitated. She was late for the tryouts for the slytherin quidditch team but seeing Neva curled up in a ball made her stomach clench. Deciding that the team could wait 5 minutes, she approached Neva's bed.
"Hey Neva." she spoke quietly as if any loud noise could shock her.

When Neva spoke, it was a sickly sweet voice, as though she was hiding something from Luna. "Hello Luna." she said in an effort to sound cheerful.

Luna gave Neva a sideways look, "Are you okay Neva? You seem a little..." she paused, thinking of the word to describe it, "I duno, different." she said with a small shrug, there were better words in her vocabulary but none of them fit.
Neva closed her eyes for a moment before opening them again. "I'm fine. Really."

Raising her eyebrows disbelievingly Luna tried to pursuade Neva into talking. She wasn't nescasrilly bothered but it did pique her curiosity. "Come on Neva, I know something is wrong. I told you what was..." she broke off, "...is still wrong with me."
Neva bit her lip. "It's nothing that is likely to spread around the school and thus incriminate me so it is hardly the same." she said, a hint of emotion seeping into her soft voice.

Luna shook her head. "Well if it isn't likely to spread around the school then what is the harm in telling me? I told you something that is very incriminating." she said, a slight tone of accusation in her voice. "If it is incriminating or not, it is still really the same. A secret for a secret." she said not completely certain that she herself understood what she was saying, let alone Neva who was rolling her eyes.
Luna was dissapointed that Neva wasn't opening up to her but quickly a fury grew inside of her, replacing the dissapointment with a voice that bellowed out through her mind.
She doesnt trust you
Luna's eyes narrowed
You trusted her
Luna's hand twitched over her wand
Kill her!!
Luna grabbed hold of her wand and moved to whip it out of her pocket but at the same time she made a movement to stop herself, the un cordinated movement toppled her over and she fell to the floor with a smack.
It didnt take her long to be back on her feet though, she had survived much worse falls and it wasn't the first time she had done something like that. She had done the same thing down by the lake and was hoping it wasn't becoming a habit like the twitch in her arm.
"So why won't you tell me?" she asked calmly as if she hadnt just fallen over in the midle of a conversation.

Neva sat up from her curled postition by her pillow. She gave Luna a calculating look and cocked her head to the side as she spoke. "I think the more valid question is, what's wrong with you?"
Luna let a small grin flash across her face. This was her home territory. Her problems.
"Well there is a lot wrong with me, always has been, always will. Sure it is a more valid question but a more interesting question is what is wrong with you?" Her voice was ever so slightly happier than the moment before, it was subtle enough for Luna to pick it up and it made her even more happy, in her strange way. Though all her humor tended to be strange and only funny to herself.

Luna stepped back from the bed when Neva jumped up and rammed the curtains that encircled her closed.
If Luna hadn't been so suddenly in such a happy mood she would have exploded with rage, but she simply tugged at one of the millions of knots in her hair and smiled.
She called over to Neva through the curtain. "Don't worry Neva, I shall find out one way or another." she said cheerfully with a tiny hint of threat and malice in her voice. She sat down on her bed pleasantly looking at the curtain that hid Neva, the quidditch tryouts completely gone from her mind to be replaced by a strange numb happiness.

Hearing Neva sigh, she suddenly realised that about 14 people were all waiting down on the quiddictch pitch for her and in one swoop she scoop up the abandoned robes from the bed and leapt up and out of the room.

Slytherin Quidditch Girls

Arriving 10 minutes late for the tryouts, Luna stepped out onto the quidditch pitch. The soft pattering of rain and the dull grey sky dampened her elation of finally being back out on a quidditch pitch.
A group of shivering Slytherins were gathered around a pile of broomsticks, stacked up at the side of the pitch. They had been forewarned by professor Vindictus, the quidditch referee and teacher, that of they touched the brooms without permission from the captain there would be dire consequences, and none of the potential team members wanted to jeopardise their shot at the team.
Pleased to see that she wouldn't have to send anyone to the quidditch ref she quickly addressed the team with the same cheerful voice that she had used with Neva but without the malice and threat, instead in its place, a professional, no nonsense edge that silenced the chattering of the bored students.
"Okay everyone, are you all ready for the tryouts?" There was a murmur of accent as Luna picked up one of the brooms lay on the floor.
"First I want to see how well everyone here can fly, that is of course assuming you can fly, if you can't and are here just for your friends or something like that then please leave before you waste any more of my time." she waited for a second but nobody moved so she continued.
"I want all of you to take a broom and fly around the pitch once then come back to land, I want you to go at a speed that suits you. Don't go fast unless you are confident that you can go fast without crashing, I DONT want to be going to the hospital wing today."
There was a rush as students pushed each other out of the wasy as they each tried to get the best brooms in the pile of tatty old school brooms. A lot of the Slytherins would have their own brooms but wanting to give everyone a chance, she had insisted that everyone would use school brooms.
It took a few minutes for everyone to have their lap around the pitch. There was the older players who zipped around the pitch and landed back next to Luna before she had even realised it. There were a few who were taking it a little slower, making sure they didn't crash. Then finally there were a small group of first years who looked like they hadn't ridden a broom before.
Sighing she moved onto the main part of the tryouts. The rain was starting to become a problem as it came down harder and harder but this didn't deter Luna from the tryouts as she divided the 14 into two teams of 7, perfect quidditch teams.
The ones who looked like they had never flown before were hopeless. They missed every quaffle, chatted to each other when they were supposed to be focusing on the match and just being the plain opposite of what a good quidditch player needs to be.
Everyone else did fairly well and after half an hour of tryouts, Luna told the Slytherins that they were finished.
"Well done everyone!" she called out to the green clad figures landing down in front of her. "You'll find out if you have made the team in a weeks time. After that there will be regular practices for those who make it."
Watching as the Slytherins left, she kept an eye on the ones who she had decided on.
She thought she had the team sorted now. The beaters would need a little more thought but she had decided on the chasers and seeker. One person who had really surprised Luna and flown exceptionally well was Cora. She had breezed around the pitch scoring like the old Roma.
Luna smiled at the memory of Roma. She, Roma and Rachel were once the Slytherin quidditch girls and they owned the quidditch pitch at every match.
Rachel with her amazing seeker abilities, Roma with her virtue of being able to score from what seemed like miles away from the goals and Luna with her uncanny keepering powers. They had been unstoppable for 3 whole years until Rachel left the year before Luna ran away from home and Roma left school whilst Luna was in Azkaban. The thought suddenly occurred to her, she had never managed to say goodbye to either of them properly. She had not even known that Rachel was leaving school until the last day of term and for obvious reasons she had not managed to be able to say bye to Roma.
Now Luna was picking up from where they had all left off as former captains.
They were all now moving on to bigger and better things whilst Luna was stuck on a muddy quidditch pitch trying to replace them. Nobody would replace the Slytherin Quidditch Girls. Not now, not ever.

Danish Pastry

A week later a notice was pinned up in the Slytherin Common Room naming the quidditch team for this year. Cora had obviously made the team after her spectacular tryout, she, Sarah and Jenni were the chasers, Pauline and Skylar were the beaters and Dinara had made it as seeker.
There were some disappointed people who had already accosted Luna asking her why they had not made the team and Luna needed a break from the constant thanks of the quidditch players and the complaints of the rest.
She decided to go for a stroll around the lake. The lake seemed to have become her new haunt, she spent more and more time pacing around the watery depths. Something she couldn't put her finger on was drawing her back there day after day.
Finding a shaded spot by the water she settled down and pulled a notebook from her bag.
It was only then did she noticed Eliza's bright blue and orange head only a few metres away from her. Confused as to why she had missed Eliza, when with her outlandish hairstyle, she was east to spot from miles away, she closed the notebook thinking that if the ministry had any more information she would have heard something.
Stuffing the book in her bag she walked over to Eliza.
"Hey." she said as she approached, "What’s up?" she asked, seeing Eliza's slightly distressed face.
Eliza shook her hair from her face. "Hey Luna." she muttered as she took out her wand and twirled it around her slender fingers. This made Luna slightly nervous, she had grown weary of people holding wands. They were usually going to press it into her neck and take her somewhere.
"What’s up? Oh, nothing really, just a memory back to..." Eliza jabbed her wand at a passing snail and its shell was instantly broken, "Haunt me, that’s all."
Sighing, Eliza opened up a picnic basket she had conjured earlier.
"French pastry? They're fresh!" she said holding out a Danish for Luna who took the pastry and bit into it with enthusiasm.
Luna had learned long ago not to be a picky eater because she often had to eat whatever she could find or something so horrible that her father would hold her down and ram the disgusting slop down her throat.
"Everything seems like a banquet to me." she mumbled, spitting out bits of pastry as she spoke.
Swallowing she stared at Eliza. "Care to share the memory? I have experience in these matters." she said, again wondering if a career in psychology would be good for her.
Luna then got a huge shock when unprovoked, Eliza started to sing.
"Ain't that what friends are for?
Ain't it good to know that you've got a friend
When people can be so cold
They'll hurt you, and desert you
And take your soul if you let them
Oh, but don't you let them"
She sang softly before answering Luna's question about sharing the memory "Share a memory? Well, it's about this boy. Not just a boy but a Slytherin boy. A cruel mean Slytherin boy called Shane Prince." Eliza sounded like the narrator of a film, introducing one of the characters.
Luna barely registered what Eliza said about the boy, she had heard something about a cruel Slytherin boy. She was still wondering why on earth Eliza had just started to sing.
"Um... What’s with the singing?" she asked, trying not to sound rude but inevitably coming off that way.
"I like to sing and I just found that song to go with what I had said."
Luna smiled, "I used to be able to sing but I lost my singing voice years ago but you still sound awesome."
Finishing off her pastry Luna tried to say something about what Eliza said about the boy, if she was going to be a psychologist she would need to listen more.
"Why was he so cruel?" she asked.
"Why wasn't he cruel is a better question! He had a girlfriend but he still told me he liked me, he took my heart and ripped it to pieces. Ruined my trust of lads, he did! It was his fault I turned back to my family way, he transferred to Durmstrang without saying goodbye. And I WILL NEVER FORGIVE HIM FOR THAT!" She practically yelled the last words out.
Luna jumped back when Eliza shouted the last sentence. She wanted to say calm down but she knew it would just infuriate Eliza, she knew it would infuriate herself if someone said that.
"That is cruel." Luna said simply, unsure of what she should say in this situation, she had never had lots of friends and had distanced herself from relationships. "And you havent heard from him since?" she asked, wondering how someone could simply leave so abruptly.
"Not a peep." Eliza said sharply.
Luna had never really been in love and she was seriously doubting if she would. The only boy close to her was Rodinth and they hadn't spoken for months. This put her in a peculiar position as she was unsure of what to say to Eliza.
"If he has been gone so long, why the sudden memories of him?" she asked nervously.
Eliza looked away from Luna's gaze. "I wish to ignore that question because the answer just makes me want to curse someone." Her hands were beginning to shake with anger and her voice was becoming a nervous laugh.
Luna nodded, "It's okay, I understand." she said sincerely. Noticing Eliza was shaking she took her arm and held it firmly. "It’ll be alright Eliza." she said softly, "Trust me. You can learn to let go of the past like I have tried." she said her eyes shining with concern. "I will always be here to help." She said, trying not to sound like a psychologist or a an overly concerned teacher.
Eliza looked at Luna through glistening Red eyes "I've tried to let go, truly I have but the past keeps coming back to haunt me like an unwanted ghost in the girls bathroom. I need a Pensive, drop my thoughts in there. Just carelessly throw them in and watch them float about like boats across the sea."
Luna let out a small sigh, "I know how you feel, sometimes I wished I could just drop some of my thoughts into a pensive too." she said, not realising she was subconsciously using the past tense. "I guess if you try hard enough, your brain suppresses the memories or eventually they just fade away." she said with a small shrug. "I don't know too much about the brain apart from what I’ve gleaned from myself."
Eliza wasn't really listening to Luna at all "I think mine is a cluttered mess with odd memories entwined through the present and wishes for the future. Images of family members and old friends sticking out everywhere, impossible to erase." she sighed "Maybe I don't want it to fade away, maybe there is some part of me that wants to remember him. I'll never know."
Luna was very unsure of what Eliza meant but she got the general idea, "Maybe you don't. There probably is a little part of you hidden away that wants you to remember bad things. I know I have one." she said clutching her now queasy stomach.
Eliza nodded "That makes sense because remembering the bad things will show you where you or others went wrong and they can help make sure that you don't do exactly the same thing over again." she looked at Luna as she clutched her stomach "You alright, Luna?" she asked.
"No, I'm fine." she said prodding her stomach, "Its just normal." Luna gave a small smile, problems that made people nervous were just normal to her, like the twitch in her arm. They were all natural but she wondered if she would need to see the nurse about some of them, the stomach for example.
"Yeah I guess it does stop you from doing the wrong things again." she said shrugging, her stomach starting to steadily grow worse.
Eliza nodded and gave Luna another concerned Look. "Are you sure you're okay?"
Luna was about to nod but shook her head instead, "I think I might just go see the nurse, I’ll see you later okay?" Luna asked as she stood up ready to leave.
"Okay." Eliza replied with a small nod of her head.
Luna gave a smile that was twisted into a grimace by the pain in her stomach, before heading back up to the castle.

Luna hurried down the twisting hallways and corridors that lead to the hospital wing. Her stomach felt like it was going to burst and she had no idea why.
She passed blurred faces and people, pictures and doors were ignored as she tried to reach the hospital wing, that was until something invisible forced her to stop.
Looking around there were only 2 things. Pauline, a girl in her house, and Professor Belle's office door.
Then it struck her. This is where Sarah had gone when she was brought up from the lake after attacking the Gryffindor girl. Now she understood why she had stopped.
She knocked on the door and waited until Professor Belle called from inside, "Come in!".
Luna moved to open the door and enter but Pauline barged in front and walked in with gusto.
Sighing, Luna stood alone outside the door for Pauline to finsh so that Luna could go in and talk to the professor. She held her stomach tight, she couldn't wait much longer.
Then Pauline swung the door open and literally skipped out of the office with a smug grin on her face.
Keeping the door open, Luna timidly walked in and adressed the professor.
"Professor I was just wondering what..."
She broke off, was it really so much of her business? If Sarah had been sent to Azkaban or punished in another way, how would that really effect her school life? Sarah had been missing for days and everyone seemed to presume that she was in Azkaban or at least expelled. Nobody uses the unforgivable curse and gets away with it, Luna knew that from experience.
"...What is happening to Sarah?"
The professor spoke as though there was something bitter in her mouth. Nobody liked sending people to Azkaban but if it had to be done. "Sarah? I'm assuming you're meaning the girl who used an Unforgivable on another student? She's been sent to Azkaban."
"Ah." Luna started to bite on her fingernails. So she was right, Sarah had been sent to Azkaban. She deserved it didn't she? She tried to assure herself that it was right but Luna was unsure. She herself had been in Azkaban and experienced its full horror. It was not a place for girls of her age, but what about Sarah? Sure she was a bit dim but she was even younger than Luna was, nearly the same age. Could Luna pass judgement on Sarah as being cold and heartless after she herself had experienced the same things?
She couldn't help but feel like a hypocrite.
Luna was about to leave the office. She had found out what she needed to and confirmed everyones assumptions but someting occured to her as she moved towards the door.
"What will happen to the quidditch team? She was chaser. Should I just have one of the reserves in her position?"
Luna realised that it sounded a bit heartless. A girl had been sent to Azkaban and all Luna was thinking of was what would happen to the quidditch team. She knew that it wasn't true and she hoped the professor didn't see her like that.
The professor looked thoughtful for a moment as she considered it. "I believe that would be best. It's too late in the year to really have another set of tryouts, and your reserves are already trained, or at least they should be. Move one of the reserve chasers up."
Nodding Luna edged towards the door, "That probably would be best." she said putting her hand on the door handle. "Um, thanks professor. I should be going." she said her voice slightly shaky, why was she so nervous? Thinking it might have something to do with Sarah, Luna left the office just as confused as she was going in, the only difference was that she knew what was happening to Sarah, and that thought wasn't too comforting.

Sickness and Health

Throwing herself down on one of the waiting room chairs, Luna looked at the rest of the people in the room as she waited for the nurse to come and see her.
There was a girl clutching her arm, two girls standing over another girl who was spread across two chairs unconscious. A boy was sat opposite her with a nasty cut on his head and the nurse was bustling around trying to tend to everyone.
Luna clutched her stomach tight as the nurse finally arrived at her. Taking one look, the nurse pulled a bucket out of nowhere and handed it to Luna.
"Here, use this if you need to. I'll be right back, I need to sort out a few of these others first." she said before quickly leaving Luna to tend to some of the other patients.

Luna threw up violently into the bucket then wiped her mouth with the sleeve of her robes. As she waited for the nurse to come over she placed the bucket down next to her chair and tapped the edge of it with her fingers.

A few minutes later nurse Numel returned with a potion for her. It was pale green in colour and tasted of mint and something else she didn't recognise. The nurse told her that she would need to take that once a day for 2 weeks to help settle her stomach, though as she left the hospital wing, her stomach still on the brink of explosion, Luna realised that no potion would cure it.

***

2 weeks later Luna sat down for breakfast in the great hall as usual when at the front of the hall. Headmistress Cassandra Rae stood up and coughed, ready to make an announcement. Noticing this, a few people pointed and nudged their friends, who in turn nudged their friends until everyone in the hall realised that the headmistress had something important to say.

The general noise of the great hall died down and the professor began to speak.
"I have an announcement regarding the inter house tournament."
Luna tuned out of what she was saying, the inter house tournament was some make shift tri-wizard tournament, but instead of between different schools it would be between the different houses. Luna had shrugged it off as some stupid thing that was supposed to unify all the houses and despite her misgivings she had put her name down for it anyway.
"There will be three champions from each house and an alternative champion in case one of the champions are no longer able to proceed."

Ignoring the professor, Luna took another bite of her breakfast; Cheese on toast. As she bit into the glorious food she heard the professor start to read out names for the champions.
She ignored the Gryffindor’s and Ravenclaw’s, she didn't recognise any of the names. One of the Hufflepuff champions was Leo Moretti, he was that prefect who fell in the lake. Then came the Slytherin’s. Luna, not expecting her name to come up, she continued with her breakfast. She only became interested when AJ's name was read out, then Pauline's.
"...and finally. Luna Moore."

I did a lot of tying last night

Champion of Hope

Luna stood in shock. She was a champion? She was still confused, they must have meant someone else. But by the hundreds of congratulations and encouragement everyone was giving her, she realised that it was actually her.

The Slytherin common room was elaborately decorated with banners and bunting, a table laden with party food stood in front of the fireplace and the place was filled with party cheer as everyone gathered around to congratulate the champions.

Luna found a chair and sat down, observing the scene. People were clamouring around the champions asking them what it felt like? Did they expect it? Were they going to flatten the other houses? Sighing, Luna saw AJ break away from the crowd and sit down next to her.

"So, what does it feel like to be a champion?" she asked, a wide grin spread across her face.
"Well, Um... I guess it hasn't really sunk in yet." she mumbled, her voice barely audible above the crowd.
Before AJ could answer Cora hurried over to her and began congratulating. "Oh, I'm so happy for you." Cora said beaming at Luna.
"I just hope I can do Slytherin proud." replied Luna uncertainly. She did not like big crowds, particularly ones who’s occupants wanted to crowd around you congratulating you.

Luna was about to say something to AJ. Both Pauline and AJ were champions too, but everyone’s' attention seemed to be directed at Luna. She was about to say something comforting to AJ but at the last second as she moved to open her mouth, she changed her mind. This was her moment of glory. Her one moment, and she wasn't going to let AJ in.

For one second Luna was sure that AJ had been glaring at her but the moment was gone and Luna shook her head. She was just imagining things, nobody was out to get her at Hogwarts well, at least not now.

Unexpectedly, AJ stood up and nodded to Luna. "Congrats Luna, May the best Slytherin win." and on that note she departed out of the common room without a word as to where or why she was going.

Her theory that it was in her head was confirmed when AJ said her congratulations and left. AJ wouldn't be congratulating her if she thought she didn’t deserve it, would she? Luna tried to assure herself this but the words 'Everybody Lies' sprung to mind.

That was when Rachel, one of her classmates, hurried over and sat down in AJ's recently vacated seat. "Hey Luna, How are you?" she asked smiling, "I haven't talked to you in a while. What have you been up to? How are your classes?"

Luna shrugged, "I'm okay I guess, classes have been fine too." she said vaguely. She didn't want to get into Azkaban or anything like that. She had told Rachel what had happened and she didn't want to go into it again but something deep inside was niggling at her stomach, obviously the potion that the nurse had given her didn't work.

Rachel looked at Luna concerned. "You sure? Your eyes don't reach your words. Is everything okay, or is there something wrong?"
Luna opened her mouth to say something but closed it again. She didn't know what to say, she was unsure of what was wrong herself.
"I...ah...I duno. Just something..." she said stupidly. Just something. It was a little unspecific but how could she describe something even she didn't know.

"Okay, if there's anything wrong you know that you can just tell me. I won't judge you." Rachel stood up. "I've got something in my trunk that might help you wait here for me."

Luna nodded her head as she waited for Rachel to come back down. She considered what Rachel had said and sighed. Everyone was judging her, every second of the day. AJ had been judging if she was going crazy earlier in the party and everyone had been judging if she was right for the part, could an ex-Azkaban inmate really hold down the position of a champion?

Luna watched as Rachel bounded downstairs and pulled a necklace out of her pocket. It was a pale green stone enclosed in elaborately worked golden metal. There was a symbol on the stone that Luna didn't recognise as she looked down at it in awe.
She was stunned, she had never owned a piece of jewellery, let alone someone give her one.
She was unsure of what to say, "...th..th...thank you Rachel." she stuttered. "You're giving this to me?" she asked unsure if it was just a practical joke.

Rachel smiled and nodded. "Of course it's for you to keep. The kanji is "Hope" and I felt that you needed it. It has the same affect as a thousand cranes. You'll have good luck, be cured of any illness, have good fortune, etc. I can make you a thousand cranes and a kimono if you want. The necklace is custom made by a friend of mine. I'm not here to trick you or harm you in any way."

Luna blinked as she rubbed the necklace between her fingers. "Hope." she whispered listening to what Rachel was saying, "I don't think I need a kimono, this is wonderful, beautiful." she said being totally truthful, "Thank you so much Rachel, I will keep it forever, even when I'm old, I will keep it." she had a sudden urge to hug Rachel but she pulled herself back, Luna Moore didn't hug.

But as Rachel smiled, Luna shrugged and thinking, 'Oh Whatever!' she threw herself forwards and pulled Rachel into a hug.
'If only all the wars and world problems could be solved by a hug instead of by a weapon or war.' Rachel whispered as they broke apart.

Luna sighed, "Yeah I guess so, but some things just have to be done. Even if they are wrong." She spoke with great meaning and hadn't even meant for it to slip. What did that sound like? But she knew herself. Some things just have to be done...

Yep Veery long chapter now

Confusion

2 weeks after the champions party, Luna was passing through the corridors on her way to the lake when she was saw Eliza and a brown haired Gryffindor boy stood ahead of her.
Walking over she greeted her with "Hey Eliza." Not noticing her tear stained face and the pleading look on the boy's face.

The boy mumbled "Hey" and Eliza nodded her hello.
Luna took a better look at the boy. After a moment's consideration she nodded. "Hiya." she now felt stupid. What would she say? She shrugged, what she usually said to someone she first met. "I'm Luna, Luna Moore." She braced herself for a fight. If the boy recognised her from the newspapers and jumped to the conclusion that she was a murderer then she would need to have her arguing voice on. She was still lucky though. Nobody, not even the teachers had recognised her from the papers...
Silos smiled kindly. "Nice to meet you, Luna," he said. He held out his hand for her to shake. "I'm Silos Ninia, fifth year Gryffindor. Pleasure to meet you." he spoke in an over-polite voice as if he was trying to please someone.

Luna's arm twitched slightly as she moved it forwards to shake Silos's hand. She roughly shook it before thrusting her hand into her pocket. She was sick of the twitching arm.
"Uh... nice to meet you." she said with slight releif. The boy hadn't recognised her but he was still scared of her. His body language told her. She tried to shrug it off and just act normal but she felt a small bubble of power grow inside her. She could scare people. This felt new to her, she was used to being scared of people.
She glanced around for something to talk about and her eyes fixed on Eliza.
"You know Eliza?"

A flicker of a frown crossed Silos's face as her arm twitched but the frown turned to a smile "Yeah," he said, sighing slightly. "She...uh, slipped me a love potion a few hours ago..."
He looked away for a moment before turning his gaze back to Luna.

"Oh."
Whatever Luna was expecting. It wasn't that. A love potion? That didn't sound like Eliza to her. Then again, all they ever talked about was voices, going crazy and Luna's time in Azkaban. They never talked about what other people would consider normal. Normal to her was a lot different to other people, and though she didn't like the idea, Eliza was a lot more normal than Luna was lately.

"A love potion. Okay..." she trailed off slightly, "How did she slip it you?" She asked. She didn't really care how, why, where... but she liked knowing stuff about other people. It was the same thing that had happened between herself and Neva, she didn't care about Neva, just about finding out her secret. That made her wonder. What did happen to Neva?

He frowned. "She started flirting with me in the Gryffindor Common Room during the Champions Party, and then when I refused her, she gave me a muffin. I should have known something was up there, but I was too shocked, and I ate it. The muffin was spiked with love potion," he said, a bit bitterly.
He sighed. "What about you?" he asked. "How do you know Eliza?"

"Ah." she shrugged, it wasn't as interesting as she had hoped but then again, it was something that she now knew.
When Silos asked her how she knew Eliza, she felt her arm twitch inside of her robes again. "I..." breaking off, she wondered what she could say. She had met Eliza first in the corridors, she had almost cursed her. The voices were bad then, that was of course before she had started sending the letters to the ministry and now the voices had more or less gone since her last letter.

"I bumped into her in the corridors, she was tapping her feet loudly so I told her to shut up." she smiled slightly. "We talked then a while later I met her down at the lake and we..." Luna decided that it would be best not to mention that she had been there when Eliza had broke down and began screaming that she wanted to kill people. "...um, we became friends ever since." she said. It was a little vague but it would have to do.

He smiled kindly at Luna. "Well, that's good," he said. "Glad you've gotten a friend out of that." There was a silence for a moment as if he was wondering what to say.
"Hey," he said suddenly. "I think I've heard your name before."

Suddenly Luna's heart sunk, her brain screamed as Silos said that he heard her name before. Her arm began to twitch madly as she scrambled under her robes for her wand. She had it somewhere.

"You're one of the Slytherin Champions for the Inter-House Tournament, right?" he asked.

Then she stopped as he asked if she was one of the champions. She nodded weakly. Why did she always have to assume the worst? If the boy hadn't mentioned it by now then he probably didn't know about her time in Azkaban, and had probably forgot her picture from the prophet anyway.
"Uh, yeah." she mumbled. Luna looked a right idiot. Panicking for no apparent reason, definately stealthy and inconspicuous. "You're a Gryffindor Champion too aren't you?" she asked.

Silos nodded when she asked if he was a Gryffindor Champion. "Yeah," he said. "Congratulations on becoming a Champion," he said cordially. He sighed. "I've been meeting the competition, and at this rate, I really don't think that I'm going to win." He frowned for a moment. Then the bright smile returned. "I'm just glad to be in the Tournament, though! At least it'll be a good experience." He smiled at her. "Good luck," he said.

Luna shrugged, "Well I really want to win. One big experience before..." she paused. "...before I leave, yeah." Her eyes flicked around the corridor. "I don't usually... talk to people much." she mumbled. What had happened to the all powerful Luna that had emerged at the start of their conversation? It was like anything decent in her life, it left her.
"Thanks, Um. Yeah. Good luck to you. Um. Too." she murmured, if Silos didn't realise that something was wrong now, he was deaf and blind. Her arm was twitching more and more and even though the cloth of her tattered robes hid it, the shaking of the actual robes looked peculiar enough. Why couldn't she just be able to talk to someone without getting so paranoid? She blamed Azkaban.

Silos took a step towards her. "Um...Luna..." he said uncertainly. "Are you alright?" He raised a tentative hand and touched her shoulder. "Are you alright?" he repeated.

Luna felt sweat trickle down her neck and down her back. Great, now she would have to give a reasonable excuse, tell him or run off. She was about to run when her stomach gave a sudden lurch and she sighed.
"No, not really." she mumbled looking around for any listening ears. Her shoulder began to feel hot where Silos was gently holding her.
"I... I should really tell you something." she closed her eyes, this was never something easy to do.
"Last year I was... I was in Azkaban." There. She said it, now there would be the long explanation of why, but for now she let that fact sink into Silos.

Silos blinked. "You...you were what?" he asked. "Azkaban?" His mouth dropped. "What happened?" he asked nervously.

Luna closed her eyes and sat down on the cold floor. She didn't care that it was the middle of a busy corridor, she simply sat down, crossed her legs and bowed her head.
"It was my father. He was evil, evil. He tortured me. I ran away. I was accused of killing him." her voice was barely a whisper and her arm was twitching madly as she sat stationary on the floor.
"You might have seen it in the papers just over a year ago."

Silos sat down with her, frowning. "No," he said. "I didn't see anything in the papers. A year ago, I was living with my mother in a Muggle town, so I don't know anything about that." He frowned.
He sighed. "But you didn't do it, right?"

Luna bit her lip and mumbled, "No. I didn't." Her voice was shaky and she lifted her head. "It took the ministry a full year to figure it out though." Her whole body began to shake and twitch like her arm did.
She was puzzled. It was only her arm that twitched, not her whole body. But she watched as her whole body shook.
Drawing her limbs closer to her she looked around, who else had heard? What would Silos think?

Silos smiled slightly. "Well, then you didn't do it. You're innocent." He smiled. "I don't care if you've been to Azkaban. If you say you are innocent, then you are in my book."
He frowned, watching her twitch. "Luna," he said quietly, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Are you sure you're alright? Is there anything I could do for you?"

Luna's stomach began to ache more as Silos said that he belived her. The thought suddenly crossed her mind that she had some kind of concience in her stomach.
She shook her head and stood up. "No i'm fine." she insisted as she again looked around the corridor. "I've been though a lot worse." she said rubbing her head. It was certainly true. "There's nothing anyone can do." she said hoping that wasn't true, she didn't want to live with her twitching and constant stomach twinges for the rest of her life.
Silos stood up as well, frowning. "Alright,"
"But if you need me to help you," he said. "I'm here for you." He smiled at her reassuringly, running a hand through his brown hair.

Luna shook her head, "No, i'm fine. I should be helping you. Everyone who i've told want to help me, but they're all younger, I should be helping the younger people being a seventh year, but everyone seems to be trying to help me." she said with a small shrug, "I will be fine." she insisted again. She knew she would be, after living in Azkaban for a year, anything seemed possible to her.

Silos frowned. "Helping me with what? I'm a fifth year, I can deal with things on my own," he said. "Besides, I'm not the one who was wrongly accused."
He sighed. "If you say so, Luna..."

Luna closed her eyes and leant against the wall, "I shouldn't... Why?" she shook her head, "I was a fourth year when I ran away. I have missed 2 years because of him, and he hasn't even been alive for half of that." she was almost talking to herself now. "He deserved it. Bad people deserve bad things. What do I deserve?" Her arm was twitching again. Whatever she said now, she couldn't convince hereself, let alone Silos, that she was fine.

Eliza, who had been completely silent thoughout their conversation finally spoke up. "You deserve to have a normal life, away from every trouble and fault of the ministry. For helping me when no one else would, you deserve to have a friend who will always be there no matter what."
Eliza walked over and stood next to Luna, "It isn't what you have done in the past, its what you want to do in the future. You have served time in Azkaban because the ministry said you killed your father. You are out now so it means they had gotten evidence that you didn't kill him."

Luna felt a small smile creep across her face and a tiny bubble of hope grow. But the bubble was popped and her smile wiped off as panic flushed through her body. "I should be able to handle this all. Why can't I? I lived with him. Why can't I live without him? I spent time there but why can't I just spend time here normally? I should be able to handle this. I'm old enough to handle this. Why can't I handle this." She spoke rapidly, her voice shaky and panicked. Her whole body shook and she slid down the wall onto the floor.

Eliza kneeled down beside her "Because everyone knows about you being there and I suspect your afraid of going back. It's alright, just take a few breaths." she said, rubbing Luna's arm in a soothing manner.

Luna felt her arm prickle as Eliza rubbed it. "No. Why is it so hard to live out of Azkaban than it is to live there? Why does it feel so hard. Everyone is judging me when they see me and they see a murderer." Nothing could comfort her, she wasn't even sure why it had started in the first place. She had just been talking to Silos when it hit her. Luna didn't even know what she had been hit with.
"Because in Azkaban
