Excellent Sam, absolutely Brilliant! And I loved the whole scenario with Dumbledore and Tom, that was nicely done, and the fact that he is still alive is really a great move. Please post more soon, your writing is really good and this story is superb. I still have my hopes up for Lily and Tom, I think they can still make it.

But then again, I'm abit of a hopeless romantic!

Tom watched as the old man slowly rose from the ground. He’s really alive… How is he alive? Tom moved a few feet toward the rising figure but soon felt himself toppling forward. What…? Tom’s wand flew out of his reach as he landed hard on the ground. He grimaced as he felt gravel dig into his exposed palms. He didn’t have much time to dwell on the minor pain though as a red light surrounded him and then all went dark.

Tom heard Lily’s musical voice before he even opened his eyes.

“How could you stun him like that daddy? You could have hurt him.” Tom smiled at her sweetness.

“Hurt him?! HURT HIM?! Do you have any idea what that little monster was doing to me?!” Tom cringed as he heard something break.

“You should wake up, Tom. You wouldn’t want your mother to think you’re in a coma.” The comfort the old man’s voice brought vanished in a second with the mention of Eliza. Tom sat straight upright. “My mother?!” Tom’s eyes were wide with fear. But she can’t be here… Draco will be furious if he finds her… it’s not safe. “She can’t come here… He’ll hurt her.”

Dumbledore’s kind face took on a look of concern. “I assure you Tom, no one here will hurt her.”

Tom shook his head. “No, not here… Draco… Draco will be furious…”

Slight confusion creased Dumbledore’s face before realization dawned on him. “Draco is dead, Tom. You killed him when you thought he killed me.”

It was Tom’s turn to be confused. “Then he died… but you didn’t?” His brow wrinkled, then his eyes widened again. “Does my mother know?”

“Tom!” Speak of the Devil. His mother ran into the room and enveloped him in her arms. “Tom, Tom are you okay? I was so alone in Canada. I missed you so much. Are you okay.”

Tom saw that his mother was crying and he tried his best to comfort her. Just how much does she know?

I can totally picture an old Harry being angry like that! Great writing as usual, hope you update again really soon!

It turned out that Tom’s mother didn’t know much of anything that had happened. Dumbledore had owled Eliza in Canada and told her to come to St. Mungo’sat once. He had explained that Tom had been badly hurt in the battle and needed his mother’s help. As grateful as Tom was to have his mother with him, he couldn’t help scolding her for the hasty was she acted. “And you actually came?! You got word from a known enemy that I was in danger and you actually came?! Did it ever occur to you that it could be a bloody trap?!”
Eliza looked a little sheepish and started to apologize until she notice Harry Potter, alive, standing on the other side of her son. “What… is… that? Why is he here? Why didn’t you kill him?!”

Tom casually looked in the direction his mother was staring. “I couldn’t do it mom, it wasn’t right. The war has to stop. It shouldn’t have been started again. It had to end. I had to end it. Those that have my mark mother, those that have it, they will never harm anyone again.”

Eliza subconsciously placed her hand on her left arm. When Eliza spoke again it was barely above a whisper. “What did you do, Tom?”

Tom sighed and looked past his mother to Dumbledore who gave him an encouraging nod. “I had to stop it mother. I couldn’t let it go on. I… I killed Draco… the rest of them should still be sleeping.”

Eliza put her head in her hands and the entire room was silent, just waiting for her reaction. When Eliza raised her head again her eyes were read, although no one had seen her crying. “You killed the wrong one. Oh Tom, he didn’t deserve it. He saved me, he saved you. I love you. I love you more than anything in the world, Tom. You should know that, Tom, and if he hadn’t had been there, if he hadn’t got to Dumbledore, We’d be dead, you and I. I know he was hard on you, son, but he meant well. He’s always fought for what he thought was right.”

Tom spoke softly, knowing he was about to speak was exactly not what she wanted to hear. “He didn’t. He fought for what his father wanted. He fought for what my father wanted. And, every time it got too hard, he ran. He ran away and let his father, and my father, any everyone else’s father to take the fall. He did do a good thing mother, I see that now, he did save you and me. He gave me the training, he got me the supporters. I was able to do what I did, mother, because of him. I destroyed the People from within. It had to be done. And I couldn’t have done it without him. My father’s war isn’t yours mother, you hated my father, hated what he did to you, why would you fight for him? Why would you have me fight for him? The Potter’s aren’t our enemies, they were His. His war. His cause. His misguided attempt at paradise. But He was destroyed, and now so are his Ideals. It’s over now, mother. It is done.”

And it is done... for now. There may be another part to this story later but I will be working on a new one with a new Character "Olivia Snape". Will post link here when it's up in the forums. Hope to see some of you guys reading it too.
