lol, I'm workin' on it. This Prophecy stuff is harder than it seems.

Hopefully I will have a story post in the next couple days with the prophecy.

Here it is: The prophecy. :flowersmile:

Tom stared at the ball on the shelf. “What do I do?”
Tom heard Severus step back a little. “Pick it up.”
That can’t be a good sign. Tom gingerly picked up the glass sphere. It was quite warm and seemed to have a light inside it. This little thing holds my future? Tom raised an eyebrow at it and then up and Severus. “Now what?”
“You have to smash it.” Severus said seriously.
Tom laughed. This has to be a joke. With an ironic smile Tom let the globe slip from his fingers and smash on the floor. His smile faltered, however, when he saw the ghostly shape of a young woman rise up from the sphere and stand before him. Tom was astonished that she seemed to be pregnant. His smile was gone completely when she began to speak.
“Dark times approach. A child will be born to begin great destruction. Without knowing a mothers love, he will hate all he knows. One will come to stop him, One will eventually succeed. But, while the One is working to find Him, He will find a woman to bear his child. It will not be done in a natural way, but forced, in hate. The heir will grow to change the world, to end the suffering, to end the woe. But how he does it, only he will know. His choice will be hard and weighted. No matter the choice, he will be hated. There will be a joining and a great relief. He will know victory and the world will know peace.”
The young woman evaporated in to thin air, leaving no trace of her presence but the shards of glass that lay when the ball dropped.

Bravo! I have to say this ff in amazing! That was great how you wrote the prophecy... I could never write that way you have a very good writing stlye and I love it! I cant wait to find out how tom reacts to this!!! I think Lily will play a major role in how this come true! At least i hope it will! LOL Pams as soon as you can!

Tom was quiet for almost a full minute. He walked around the place where the apparition had stood, looking from all angles as if to see where it had gone. His face was set in a confused frown as he tried to understand all that had just taken place. It doesn’t make sense… I don’t understand… “I wonder if she knew it was her child that would bring that much destruction… that was my grandmother, wasn’t it Severus?” Tom looked up at Severus and spoke so suddenly than the older man jumped a little before recomposing himself.
“Yes, she was His mother.” Severus studied the boy who was still processing the information.
“I… wonder… if she would have killed him… destroyed him… if she knew?” Tom was once again looking at the place his grandmother’s likeness had just stood. A tear came to Tom’s eye as he considered that his own mother knew he was the son of a monster, the son of a man as evil as a person could get, and she didn’t destroy him… she raised him anyway. What made her keep me? Tom wiped the tear off his face and headed for the exit of the Department of Mysteries.
Severus walked behind him in silence, wondering what this boy would do with this new information.
Tom didn’t say another word until he and Severus had arrived back at Hogwarts. They returned to the classroom Tom had been dragged into several hours before. Tom had securely tucked his wand into his robe when it was finally returned to him at the Ministry, but the moment he was back on solid ground in the Classroom he took it out again and aimed it at his older cousin. He spoke in a very calm voice. “You will not tell anyone what you heard of the prophecy… you will not tell anyone who doesn’t already know that I have heard the prophecy. And you most definitely will not tell Lily… is that understood?”
Severus looked in Tom’s eyes for a moment with a grim look on his face. “Yes, Mr. Slyddle, it is completely understood.”
Tom still wasn’t sure if he could trust his cousin Severus but he had been in his presence for far too long. “Good. Bye then.” Tom silently walked over to the door, whispered “Alohamora” and left towards the Slytherin Common Room.

Tom didn’t go straight to bed, although it was rather late and only the older year students were still in the common room. How long was I gone? Tom crept up to the dorm he shared with Jeremy Flint and three other Slytherin boys. Everyone was asleep so he quietly pulled out some Parchment and a Quill and sat down to write at his desk.

Draco,

The ball has been set into motion. The enemy knows I plan to attack. Have everything ready. The battle will take place this summer. Do not worry my mother.

Tom.

Tom folded up the letter and put a magical seal containing a piece of Draco’s hair on so that only he would be able to open it.

I’ll send that tomorrow… I need to talk to Lily soon… I must talk to Lily soon. Tom took another piece of parchment and wrote his command to Lily.

Lil,

Meet me at the entrance to the Chamber at 8 p.m. Don’t be late.

Tom.

First thing in the morning, I’ll send owls. Tom hid the letters and all but fell into his bed, exhausted.

Tom stood in front of Lily with a sad but determined look on his face. “I have to do this, Lily. I really have no choice.” He raised his wand.
“No, Tom. You don’t have to. Please Tom don’t do this!” Lily was nearly hysterical as she tried to pull Tom’s wand arm down.”
Tom pushed her aside a little to forcefully. He looked at the pathetic sight that lay on the floor in front of him. The Cruciatis Curse wasn’t really what had done this to him… it was that his scar had started hurting for the first time in eleven years. “Look at me Potter.” Tom watched as the defenseless adult looked up at him pleadingly, still holding his hand to the fabled lightning bolt scar. Tom sneered. “You just can’t win Potter. There is no good or evil. Just Power. And you have none.” Tom pointed his wand at the Boy Wonder and calmly spoke the incantation. “Avada Kadavra”. The green light seemed to blind Tom for a moment and when it cleared he saw Lily laying dead where her father had just been. “Lily! No! Not you! It couldn’t have been you!...”

“No!” Tom shot up in bed, breathing heavily. “No.” he whispered to himself. “No, it was just a dream. She’s okay. It was just a dream.” Tom looked quickly around the room. Everything seemed in place and he apparently didn’t wake anyone else up when he came out of his nightmare. What a nightmare. The sun was coming up outside the window so he thought he might as well go to the owlry. Couldn’t sleep after that anyway. He dug out the letters and carefully climbed the stares to the owlry keeping aware of every sound incase one belonged to Filch or Mrs. Norris.

What a horrible dream!! I just hope it won't come true... :unsure: Anyway, great writing! :flowersmile:

Tom called down the first two brown owls that returned from hunting in the night. Some day I’ll get my own owl… but I guess this is for the best for now. He sent the first one off to find Draco Malfoy. “And make sure he gets this or I’ll find out if owl tastes like chicken.” I’m threatening an owl… I’m starting to sound like my mother. Tom sighed and fastened Lily’s letter to the second owl, who was looking a little frightened. “Oh, relax will you? Just take this to Lily Potter… but don’t wake anyone up giving it to her… least of all her.”
Tom was watching the two birds depart and jumped and whirled around when he heard Jeremy Flint speak. “So, it’s true then? You really are taken with that muggle-loving wench?”
Tom narrowed his eyes. “That’s none of your bloody business. Why aren’t you asleep?”
Jeremy snorted. “You expect me to be able to sleep when you’re thrashing in your bed like a mad man? You talk in your sleep, mate. Although, I don’t understand it… you were talking about Potter like you hated her one moment and the next you were like ‘Lily! No! It couldn’t have been you.’ What’s your deal mate?”
Tom’s mind returned briefly to his nightmare. “It wasn’t her I was trying to… I wouldn’t have… SHOVE OFF! IT’S NONE OF YOUR BLOODY BUSINESS!” Tom’s face was contorted into a mask of rage as he went to move past his friend. It occurred to Tom to hex Jeremy, or that Jeremy might try to hex him, but he didn’t really care at the moment. I just want to be left alone. Why can’t they all just leave me alone?
