| I'm sorry. My brother tried to install a new graphics card in my computer and the machine didn't take to the operation very well. He now has the whole tower at his place trying to fix it. The problem is that Kin for Kin was on the hardrive on there. I had a couple other scenes written, ready to post, but now they're trapped in my computer. I'm writing this on my labtop that I still have here at home. I copied and pasted what I had so far on here so I am able to continue but it may be tomorrow before you guys get another story post. I'm not gonna attempt to rewrite what I had on other computer but I realized I forgot about Hogsmeade (Tom's in 3rd year) and Halloween... so those will probably be what I write about. Again, I'm really really sorry. Let this be a lesson to all: ALWAYS BACK UP YOUR WORK.
More posted soon, I promise. |

| Quote: | I loved the parseltongue scene with the 3 headed snake, all Gryffindors are gits! | Yeah, I loved that part and this part: Quote: Lily slowly relaxed her position. “I bet he’s in Slytherin.”
“He is.”
“I’ve heard they’re horrible.”
“We are.” | lol, good times.
Anyway, below is the next post. I'm going "home" for the holidays late tonight and their is little to no internet access where I am going so I might not get to post again till the new year. I'll bring my labtop with me so I can write more but I don't know if I'll be able to post it. Since I don't have to leave until much later tonight I try to get another part written and posted before I leave but incase I don't then consider this your Christmas Present.
Happy Christmas. :sorcerer:

September and October passed by like lightning. Before the students knew it, Halloween was fast approaching. This was exciting for the third years especially because along with Halloween was the promise of their first trip into Hogsmeade. Tom was sure not to lose many house points in the weeks leading up to the Sunday trip. Not that he cared whether Slytherin won the House cup or not but Susan Bletchley, head of Slytherin House, has been known in the past for handing out detentions for those she thought were ‘hurting Slytherin’s chances”. The last thing Tom wanted was to miss his first Hogsmeade weekend. Maybe I’ll pick up something for Lily. In any case he planned to stock up on dung bombs and fire crackers. He’d been minding his manners around the Gryffindors but when he got back it would be time to hit them hard. After all, I can’t have the Slytherins thinking I like those Muggle-loving creeps. Lily Potter is the only Gryffindor I’m interested in. If he could pull off a few good pranks without getting in too much trouble then he would be back in good graces with his housemates and be on top of the world by the start of Quidditch season. But I mustn’t **** off Lily… my mother would never forgive me. In all honesty, Tom’s interest in Lily Potter had become less and less linked to his mother and her plans for his future. He found the spunky red-head fascinating… she didn’t seem like other girls. Of course she doesn’t seem like other girls… she’s the daughter of Saint Potter. Tom’s bitter thoughts must have shown somewhat on his face because it prompted Jeremy Flint to speak.
“Hey, mate, what’s got you so sour-pussed on this fine Sunday?” He said with a smirk.
Tom sighed, “It’s just a shame that the Gryffindors have to join us on this most joyous occasion.”
“Oh. I think we can put at least a few out of commission ruining our own trip.” And with that he pulled out a vile with a strange looking liquid in it.
“What is it?” Tom asked peering at the small bottle.
“It’s a concentrated itching potion. One drop of this and the unfortunate victim is scratching like there’s no tomorrow.” Jeremy was now grinning from ear to ear and Tom was joining him.
“Right. So I say we get that fat dunderhead that’s always an idiot in Care of Magical Creatures, and all the Mud Bloods in our year, and some of the other girls… just for fun.” Tom had been good all week, he was ready for a little mischief.
“I think we should poor the whole bottle on the Potter girl.” Said Alexander Flint meanly, “Unless you’re afraid of her daddy or something.”
“The last person in the world I’d be afraid of is Mr. ‘I’m so perfect’ Potter. But it wouldn’t make sense to get her… she’s not going to Hogsmeade, she’s only first year.” Tom adopted a condescending tone to hide his horror of the thought pulling a prank on Lily.
“Yeah, and you aren’t going either, you’re only second year, buzz off.” Jeremy looked like he was about to hex his little brother before he cleared off. “I swear, you’re lucky you’re an only child.”
Tom didn’t reply. Yeah, luckiest guy in the world. He and Jeremy went off to find some Gryffindors to try their new toy on. |

| Hi Guys,
How have you been? I came back early. I was able to write the next part the story and have a good idea for the halloween scene . Also my desktop computer is back, all fixed up except I can't get on the internet on it. So, I'm still on my labtop for the most part but... meh.
Here's the next part.

All in all only seven Gryffindors were administered the itching potion, they laid in hospital wing while their classmates ran rampant in the Wizarding town just outside the grounds. The reason more Gryffindors weren’t in bed with a horrible tasting antidote was that Tom and Jeremy almost got caught twice by Professor Bletchley who threatened detention, loss of house points and a ban on all future trips to Hogsmeade if she found out they were ‘up to something’. After the second warning they thought it best not to tempt fate a third time.
Tom and Jeremy entered Hogsmeade like two kids in a candy store. In fact, Honeydukes, the famous Wizard sweet shop was exactly where Jeremy wanted to go first. Tom disagreed. Jeremy felt the many confections calling his name so he didn’t argue much with Tom; they agreed to meet up just before the return trip to Hogwarts.
Tom quickly headed over to Zonko’s Wizarding Joke Shop. He felt like spending some time alone and this was the perfect shop to spend it in. He browsed the many shelves, baskets, bins, and racks for supplies to compliment any possible scheme he could think up. He picked up some ever-popular dung bombs, some firecrackers, and several packages of belch powder in different flavors.
Tom left the store with quite a bit less money in his bag. He headed over to Honeydukes and stocked up on Chocolate Frogs and Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans. He also picked up some bubble gum and Honeydukes best chocolate and a Sugar Quill for Lily. As he was ringing up his purchases he noticed a new product that was being displayed: Pleasure Pops; lollipops that were guaranteed to “stimulate your senses for a totally pleasurable experience”. He picked up two: one for him and one for Lily. |

Tom made his way back to the castle barely listening to Jeremy Flint who was going on and on about all the sweets he bought in Honeydukes and the gorgeous barmaids at The Three Broomsticks where he had bought a butterbeer. Tom's mind was already back at the castle, giving Lily a Sugar Quill and coaxing her into the Chamber of Secrets once again.
Tom smiled as he saw Lily turn around and walk towards him and Jeremy when they walked in the main doors but his look sort of faltered when he saw her face. The look she wore was one of confusion and anger.
“Is it true, Tom?” She demanded marching up to him.
It was Jeremy who responded first. “Yeah, and it ain’t the half of it baby.” He smirked.
Lily narrowed her eyes at him and looked back at Tom expectantly.
“Is what true, exactly?” Tom finally asked looking at Lily with his best innocent-until-proven-guilty face.
Lily looked a little affronted that her question was answered with another one but she made herself perfectly clear so he couldn’t skirt the subject again. Her jaw clenched slightly as she spoke, “Did you really put an itching potion on Claudette Weasley landing her in the hospital wing?”
Tom answered before he thought of what he was doing. “Name doesn’t ring a bell.” He said raising his eyebrows in a bored fashion.
Lily kind of gasped and Jeremy felt it was his job to clarify who Claudette was, “Oh, you remember her… tall, beautiful, our year… her dad’s a muggle-loving bastar*d though… I hear he’s friends with the Potters’” He said this last part nodding towards Lily.
She totally ignored Jeremy and was now glaring at Tom. He held her gaze for a while and then rolled his eyes. “Come on, Lily, it was just a prank…she’ll be fine.”
That appeared to have been the wrong answer. Lily slapped him hard on the face. “I can’t believe you would do something so … so… so childish… so immature… so mean!” She stormed off in the direction of her friends who were waiting for her and had been watching the entire scene unfold.
Jeremy had the presence of mind to shout after her. “You ain’t seen nuthin’ yet, cupcake.”
Tom slowly rubbed his face where her hand had made contact. Good job, Tom ol’ boy, how do you plan to get out of this one? |

With the promise of the Halloween feast, Tom put all thoughts of Lily’s disapproval out of his mind. He entered the Great Hall expecting a wonderful feast with an incredible amount of sweets and he was not disappointed. Halloween, the only day when dessert comes first. Tom let a genuine smile crawl over his face as he piled his plate up with food… none of which was good for him.
The conversation was light at the Slytherin table as everyone in third year was describing the many wonders of Hogsmeade. Tom contributed only occasionally as his attention was drawn to the more subdued Gryffindor table.
“Look at those muggle-lovers,” Tom said finally, “Their acting as if someone bloody died or something… it was just a prank.” As he continued to look at their table his mood darkened immensely.
“Relax, mate,” Jeremy said, helpfully, biting into a liquorish, “If their too daft to enjoy the best day of the year it’s their own darn fault. No reason they can’t be having a good time.”
Tom looked over at his friend considering. “You know you’re right… and there’s no reason I can’t have a good time either.” With an evil smile playing on his lips he got out his wand and whispered “Serpensortia”. He instructed the snake to go ‘play’ with the Gryffindors as he put his wand back in his robes. The entire Slytherin table burst into gales of laughter a few moments later when several Gryffindor girls started screaming, jumped out of their seats, and chaos ensued. Lily is so gonna hate me… do I really care? …No. Tom had the near impossible task of joining in the festivities while feigning innocence as several professors looked suspiciously his way while trying to round up the magical snake. Classes in the next week would, no doubt, be interesting for Tom… socially. |

It had been several blissful weeks before Tom heard from his mother. He spotted BeeBee, his mother’s owl, one November morning and groaned audibly. Crazy old bat. “Hello BeeBee, what does my mother want today?”
The Owl hooted, apparently not pleased with its own name. It dropped and envelope onto Tom’s plate and wrestled his toast away from him. “Fine. Have it!” Tom said letting go of the dried out bread and picking up the letter.
He opened it gingerly. Tom,
I hope you’re well at school. Draco Malfoy’s just informed me that you were seen with Lily Potter at school. I hope everything is going well on that front. I stopped by Diagon Alley the other day and actually ran into the Potters. Seems their youngest is a little accident prone, he tripped right over a cauldron in plain sight. Harry Potter looked around as if someone was trying to kill his baby boy. Now where would he get that idea? Anyway, the other child was there too. Tall and gangly, even at nine years old, he looks so much like his father you’d think you were looking at a photo album. Same hair too, won’t lay flat. Don’t know what they were doing in Diagon Ally, probably Potter trying to shake out a couple Death Eaters from Nocturn Ally (When will he learn there aren’t any left?) Oh! By the way, I picked you up a new book on curses while I was there. You must be getting dreadfully bored with the one you’ve got. I’ll send it with BeeBee next time I write, I didn’t want to weigh him down too much this trip because he’s been looking a little sick lately. Are you planning on coming home for Christmas? Please write back. Keep up the good work with the Potter girl and good luck with Quidditch.
Sincerely
Eliza (your mother)
“Feeling sick, have you, BeeBee?” Tom smirked and he almost swore that the bird smirked back. “Well, I won’t burden you with a big envelope then.”
Tom ripped off a piece of parchment and quickly wrote: Mom,
Can’t write much now because I’m crazy busy with quidditch and all. Potter situation under control. Think I’ll stay here for Christmas. I’ll write more if I get a spare moment.
Sincerely,
Tom (you’re son)
He quickly rolled the parchment and scribbled ‘Eliza Slyddle’ on the outside. He attached the noted to BeeBee’s leg and told him to shove off. “…And act really sick so she won’t send you back for at least a week!” he shouted after the bird.
After BeeBee was out of sight, Tom settled back down and grabbed some more breakfast. It was Saturday. He had an hour to kill before the first Quidditch match of the season. |
