Default Destiny - Sa16+

Disclaimer: All characters belong to J.K. Rowling except for those I have created. I have been sitting on this story for a while now and have decided to finally write it down. It goes back to Harry's fifth year.

Destiny Sa 16+.

Harry Potter lay on his bed at Number 4 Privet Drive staring at the ceiling in a kind of stupor. He had been laying there for hours thinking about what was happening in the wizarding world now that Voldemort had returned. Nobody seemed to want to tell him anything, Ron and Hermione’s letters contained useless information that he did not care about. He thought that maybe Sirius would at least enlighten him, but no his letter’s were just as empty as his friends. The Daily Prophet too was sweetly ignoring Voldermort’s return, no doubt from Fudge’s influence. He wanted to close his eyes and sleep, but he was constantly having nightmares about that night in the graveyard and he just didn’t want to relive that night anymore. He got up off his bed and started pacing the room, he was sick of feeling the fear and tension, sick of seeing Cedric Diggory’s lifeless body and hearing the jeers and heckling from the Death Eaters as Voldermort tortured and tried to kill him. He wished he could just run away from all this, but where we would he go and he knew deep down in his heart that he would never leave his friends and his godfather no matter how angry he was with them at the moment, but he’d had enough he just didn’t want to be himself anymore.

He needed some air he crossed the room and let himself out the door, went downstairs his Aunt and Uncle were in the living room watching television, not wanting to speak to the them he opened the front door and went outside. He started walking down Privet Drive and automatically headed over to the nearby park, he sat down on one of the swings this was the fourth day in a row he had come to the park and this was the fourth day in a row that he’d noticed the same girl sitting under a tree on the other side of the park apparently reading a book. Was it just coincidence that she was there, it could be that she like him just wanted to get outside and go to the park for fresh air, he did not believe this, for some reason he had the feeling she was there because of him. He did not go over to her, maybe he was wrong but he didn’t think so he’d wait to see what would happen in the next couple of days.

The girl sat there watching him from behind her book he looked so sad sitting there by himself, she longed to go over there and talk to him, but she knew she would get into trouble if anybody found out that she had spoken to him. He wasn’t supposed to have any magical contact at the moment, it was a shame that she wasn’t allowed to talk to him they actually had a lot in common and her life like his had been affected by Voldermort.

She leant back against the tree and sighed remembering the story her aunt’s had told her five years ago. Her mother Nicole had been a witch and a very good one too, or so her aunt’s had said. When she was at Hogwarts her very best friend in the world was a young girl by the name of Lily Evans, they were inseparable at school and when they left Hogwarts they remained good friends. Nicole was Lily’s matron of honour when she married James and when Nicole married her muggle neighbour Jack Taylor; Lily was her matron of honour. They kept in close contact with each other, speaking daily and going out together once a week. They both fell pregnant at the same time although Nicole’s baby was four weeks premature, giving birth to a baby girl on the 1st July. Lily gave birth to a baby boy on the 31st July. They were so happy, they both had everything they could ever want, two loving husbands and two bundles of joy, their lives were set.

Then it all changed just over a year later, the Potter’s had to go into hiding from Voldermort and on Halloween’s night Nicole had found out that there was a traitor amongst their friends who was passing information to Voldermort. She set out at once to the Potter’s to warn them but she was ambushed by Voldermort’s Death Eaters and killed before she reached the Potter’s house. Jack Taylor was devastated the by the loss of his wife and was never the same afterwards, he looked after his daughter the best he could, but the light had gone from his life, one thing he was adamant about though, his daughter was to have nothing to do with magic he wasn’t going to lose another loved one to that dangerous life.

A movement out of the corner of her eye brought her out of her reverie; she looked over and saw that Harry was leaving. She watched him go with frustration if only she could talk to him, it wasn’t fair she had wanted to meet Harry Potter ever since her aunt’s had told her the story of mother and the Potter’s on that fateful night.

The next morning the girl was back again sitting on the garden wall of Number 8 Privet Drive watching the house down the road, she had decided last night that if she got the chance she was going to talk to him. She sat there for another hour waiting, and then she saw him coming out of the house, cross the yard and head down the road in the opposite direction. She got up from the wall and started following him, she quickened her stride so as not to lose him, he turned into an alleyway she ran the last few feet and stuck her head around a garden hedge to look into the alleyway but he wasn’t there. She ran the length of the alley and stopped at the end looking left and right but he was nowhere to be seen.

“Where did he go?” She wondered

“Looking for someone?” Asked a voice from behind her, she jumped with fright and turned to look behind her.

“Why have you been following me?” He asked her with an accusing stare and his hand was clutching something that was tucked inside his jeans.

“I – I’m not following you, I um I was looking for my dog,” she stammered.

“You have been at the park everyday that I have been there and now you’re following me,” he accused her.

She stared at him at a loss for words, how did he know she was at the park, she didn’t think he saw her he always seemed too preoccupied to notice anything.

“I didn’t mean to upset you, I just wanted to talk to you,” she said, eyeing him carefully. “And I would appreciate it if you would take your hand off your wand, I’m not going to attack you.”

Harry looked at her in surprise he certainly hadn’t been expecting that.

“So you’re a witch,” he stated.

“Yes I am,” she said simply.

“How come I’ve never seen you before, do you go to a different school?” He asked suspiciously.

“Look I’ll tell you everything you want to know, just please take your hand off your wand, I am unarmed.” And she lifted her hands in the air and turned on the spot to show him that she was not carrying a wand. He took his hand away from the top of his jeans, but he eyed her warily.

“Why don’t we go over to the park and we can talk there,” she said, pointing towards the park.

“Okay,” he said slowly.

They started off towards the park walking in silence Harry kept checking her out of the corner of his eye ready for any sudden movements she might make. They walked through the gates to the park and made their way over to the swings, she sat down on one and looked up at him.

“I’m not going to bite, you can sit down you know” she said with a smile. He hesitated for a moment and then slowly sat down on the other swing.

“I’m Sarina by the way – Sarina Taylor,” she declared and held out her hand.

Harry shook her hand and said, “I’m Harry Potter.”

“Yes I know who you are of course, I’ve heard all about you, s’pose you get sick of hearing that,” she giggled.

“Yeah just a bit,” he mumbled.

“So what is it you want to know Harry?” Sarina asked him.

“Do you live around here?”

“No, I’m staying with a relative for the summer,” she answered.

“Where do you go to school?” Harry wanted to know.

“Well I’ve actually done my studies from home for the past four years,” she stated.

“How did you manage that?” He asked, amazed.

“Well it’s a long story actually,” she said, and she told him the story of her parents and his parents. After ten minutes she finished, Harry sat there with his mouth open.

“So you’re parents and my parents were friends, nobody ever told me that story,” he said.

“No I suppose they didn’t feel the need, after my mother died my father moved us out of the home and moved us to the other side of the country,” she said with a sad smile. “He wanted to make sure we were far away from the magical community as possible.”

Harry shook his head trying to take it all in, Sarina continued with her story.

“My father knew I would be a witch, but he wasn’t going to let me anywhere near magic if he could help it. After what happened to mum he thought that magic was dangerous, so of course when I got my letter for Hogwarts he forbade me to go.”

“He wouldn’t let you go, he sounds like my aunt and uncle,” Harry said.

“He was just trying to protect me, I was all he had left and I don’t think he could bear it if anything happened to me like my mum,” she whispered.

“So you’ve been studying magic from your home?” Harry asked, amazed.

“Yeah – the first time I met my two aunties was when they found out that I wouldn’t be going to Hogwarts. They came over to our house and demanded that my father let me go to school. That’s when they told me the story of my mother and your parents and you. Since that time I have wanted to meet you.” She looked away, her face going red with embarrassment. Harry sat there not really knowing what to say.

Sarina cleared her throat and continued with her story.

“My aunts were not going to take this lying down. They went straight to Dumbledore and asked him to speak to my father and persuade him to let me go to Hogwarts.” She took a deep breath. “But instead of speaking to my father, Dumbledore came to see me and told me that if I wanted to study magic there was a way we could do it.”

“How were you able to do it?” he asked her.

“Well I used the attic in my house to work from and we used two way mirrors for the classes, I had one at home and the other one was at Hogwarts. The Ministry had to be informed of course. My father spent long hours at work so he was none the wiser. It hasn’t been easy but I’ve managed to get away with it for the past four years,” she said happily.

Harry sat there for a minute thinking, then he said, “But this year is O.W.L. year, how are you going to take your exams?”

The smile vanished from her face and when she spoke it was in a quiet and sad voice. “Well, Dad passed away a couple of months ago and my aunts, Jess and Rachel, have taken me in as they are the only family I have left now. So as of this year I will be attending Hogwarts in person.”

“I’m sorry to hear about your dad Sarina,” Harry mumbled.

“Thank you Harry,” she looked at him with tears in her eyes. “This is what I’ve always wanted you know, I just didn’t think I’d be going under these circumstances.” And with that she broke down completely the tears rolling down her face.

Harry didn’t know what to do or say , so he patted her on the shoulder mumbling something about it being alright.

She took a deep shuddering breath. “Sorry,” she whispered through her tears.

“It’s okay,” Harry said.

They sat in silence for a few minutes. “What’s Hogwarts like?” She asked him suddenly.

“It’s the best place in the whole world, the castle is beautiful, the classes are excellent and the people there are great especially my two best friends Ron and Hermione,” he told her.

All of a sudden the happiness he was feeling faded away as he remembered Ron and Hermione and how they were together and he was stuck still stuck in Little Whinging. He sat there brooding for a minute, before he realised that not once had he thought about his troubles since meeting Sarina.

“Did I say something wrong?" she asked him, noticing the troubled expression on his face.

“No it’s not you, I was just thinking about the wizarding world and what’s happening, nobody seems bothered to tell me, I suppose you don’t know anything do you?” He asked her, hoping she might me able to tell him something.

“No,” she lied. “All I know is that Voldemort has returned to this country and that Dumbledore is having a hard time convincing people. My aunts and I for that matter believe what you and Dumbledore are saying.”

Harry stared at her for a moment “You said his name. A lot of people I know don’t like saying his name,” he said, amazed.

“Yeah well I’ve been shut away for the past fourteen years haven’t I? My aunts say his name and apparently my mother used to say his name, so I figure I should say the name as well and I think it makes it a little less frightening by using his name,” she shrugged.

“Yeah I know what you mean; Dumbledore’s always saying that we should use his name.”

“Let’s get off the subject of talking about Voldemort it’s too depressing. I’m nervous about going to Hogwarts you know, I’m not going to know anyone and you lot have had four years to get to know one another and I’m a complete stranger, I just hope I fit in,” she looked at him anxiously.

“Don’t worry you’ll have no problems and I’m not a stranger anymore – you can count me as a friend,” he told her.

“Oh thank you Harry.” She looked immensely relieved. “Do you think I will be able to sit with you and your friends on the train?”

“Sure you can.”

“Hey look at the time we’ve been here for hours it’s almost lunch time. I’ve got some muggle money, do you want to go down to the shop and get something to eat?” she asked him shyly.

“Um…okay, I’ll pay you back when we get to school, but it’ll have to be wizard money, hope you don’t mind” he said.

“Don’t worry about it, this is payment enough finally having a friend to share things with.” Her face went red with embarrassment, God did she really just say that.

They spent the rest of the afternoon at the park talking about Hogwarts, Harry’s friends, Quidditch and anything else that came to mind. Sarina was careful to keep the conversation away from Voldermort, she didn’t want to upset him and she didn’t want to let slip that she knew more about what was going on than she had told him.

Well that's the start let me know what you think.

Now for some more of the story.

The sun had started to set and a light darkness had fallen around them.

“I’d better be getting home Harry; my aunt’s will start to worry about me”.

“Okay would you like me to walk you home”? He asked getting to his feet.

“No that’s okay it’s only a short walk, maybe we can meet here again tomorrow if you’re not doing anything that is”?

“Sure that sounds good, I’ll see you tomorrow”.

“Goodnight Harry” and she walked off towards home.

Harry watched Sarina go; this was the best day he’d ever had in all his time living in Little Whinging. But once she had rounded the corner all the depressing feelings that he’d had all summer came back to him at once he sat back down on the swing and put his head in his hands feeling the anger and frustration engulf him once more, god he was sick of this. He heard a noise behind him and instinctively reached into his jeans, pulled out his wand and turned around, but it was just his stupid cousin and his gang of cronies, they were laughing loudly at something Dudley had said. Harry got to his feet looks like it was time to go home, he didn’t feel like being locked in the garden shed because he had gotten home after Dudley. Harry had just had one of the best days of his life, but a gnawing feeling in his gut told him that his good mood was about to end.

Sarina walked through the front door with a smile on her face; she’d just had the best day of her life, she walked through the hallway and turned into the living room and stopped dead. Standing in the middle of the room was her aunt’s Jess and Rachel with a look of thunder on their faces, but they weren’t alone standing beside them was none other than Albus Dumbledore and he wasn’t smiling either. Oh dear she thought I am in trouble.

Her aunt Jess spoke in a low and angry voice “you were told not to speak to Harry Potter, we told you to stay away from him”.

Sarina looked down at the floor “we kind of ran into each other” Sarina mumbled.

“YOU MADE SURE THAT YOU DID RUN INTO HIM SARINA, WE KNOW HOW LONG YOU’VE WANTED TO MEET HIM” shouted Aunt Rachel.

Sarina flinched at her aunt’s shouting; they had never spoken to her like that before.

“I’m sorry” she mumbled still looking at the floor.

“Sarina” she looked up Dumbledore was speaking to her now, “you know the reasons why we wanted to keep Harry away from magical contact at the moment. You know what stand the Ministry is taking at the moment”.

“I know and I am truly sorry” she cried “I didn’t tell him anything, he doesn’t know where I am staying”.

“Well that’s something I suppose” Dumbledore sighed.

“Look I just wanted to talk to him, he’s the only one of our kind around here that’s my age, and I just thought it would be nice to know someone before I started at Hogwarts”

“That’s not the only reason” Rachel scoffed.

“I’m sorry Sarina, but we’ll have to take you back home tomorrow, we can’t afford any slip ups” said her aunt Jess.

“That’s not fair, I told you I didn’t tell him anything” Sarina cried.

“THAT’S NOT THE POINT – YOU PROMISED YOU WOULD STAY AWAY FROM HARRY AND YOU BROKE THAT PROMISE, WHAT ELSE ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO” Aunt Rachel had started shouting again.

Sarina was starting to get angry now, she raised her voice also “WELL IT’S NOT LIKE YOU TWO ARE EVER HERE – YOU’VE STUCK ME HERE WITH ARABELLA. I SUPPOSE IT WAS HER WHO TOLD YOU I WAS WITH HARRY”

“Sarina don’t be disrespectful” her aunt Jess gave her a threatening glare “you know full well –“

“I DON’T CARE THAT YOU HAVE BEEN BUSY WITH THE ORDER – I’VE LOST BOTH MY PARENTS, I’M STARTING AT A NEW SCHOOL AND YOU TWO ARE NEVER AROUND – I HAVE NEVER FELT MORE ALONE IN MY LIFE” she stopped yelling and burst into tears.

Jess and Rachel both looked taken aback.

“Sar-“ but Sarina put her hand up to stop her aunt Jess. “I just wanted to make a friend, someone my age who I could talk to” she sniffed.

“We’re sorry we haven’t been around Sarina, you know how important our work is at the moment – you said you understood” Jess said coming over and putting her arms around Sarina and drawing her into a hug.

“I do understand” she said into Jess’ shoulder “I’m just lonely”.

“Why did you have to pick Harry of all people” Rachel said exasperated.

Sarina pulled away from her aunt and clenched her fists, she opened her mouth when Dumbledore spoke “This is not the time for family disagreements, no harm has been done in regards to Harry – now Sarina-“

“JESSICA, RACHEL” a voice rang out in the hallway and the next second Arabella Figg came bursting in the room. “Oh Dumbledore thank god you’re here” she was out of breath from running “Dumbledore your not going to believe it, there was an attack on Harry”.

The room exploded with yells and screams and people trying to talk at once.

“QUIET LADIES, PLEASE” Dumbledore shouted over the noise “What happened Arabella”?

“Two Dementor’s in the alleyway where Harry and his cousin were they went for the boys Dumbledore and, oh Dumbledore Harry used magic to get rid of them” she sunk down onto the couch clutching her chest.

“Right you all stay here” ordered Dumbledore “its best if it looks as though you don’t know what’s happened – I’m going to the Ministry they’ll know by now and I’ll have to head Fudge off before he does something stupid”.

“But Dumbledore what are you going to do”? Rachel cried.

“I haven’t got time to go into that now – the position has changed now. I’ll have Harry escorted to Headquarters as soon as possible and Sarina I’m sorry but I must ask you not to go and see Harry is that clear”

“But Sir I –“she stopped talking when she saw the look on Dumbledore’s face “I promise not to see him” she mumbled.

“Good now I must go” with that he twirled on the spot and was gone.

They all stood in silence for what felt like an eternity “I’m going to bed” Sarina whispered.

“Hang on we haven’t finished with you” Aunt Rachel snapped.

“Not tonight Rachel we’ll discuss it in the morning” Aunt Jess said in a soothing voice “go to bed Sarina we’ll see you in the morning, but remember what Dumbledore said”.

Sarina nodded to let her aunt know they she understood and walked out of the room.

Back in Privet Drive Harry was pacing his bedroom he could not believe what had just happened, Dementors here in Little Whinging and his aunt knowing about Azkaban and who had that Howler been from it was all too much. He had sent Hedwig off with letters to Ron, Hermione and Sirius telling them what had happened and what were they going to do
about it. He felt quite alone he had nobody to talk to – hang on there was someone he could talk to – Sarina, but he didn’t know where she was staying. He was meeting her tomorrow it’ll have to wait until then and with that thought he laid down on his bed and went to sleep.

Sarina sat on the end of her bed thinking, how was she going to tell Harry she couldn’t see him anymore, the thought of him sitting in the park waiting for her made her feel sick. Her aunt’s are going to be watching her like a hawk, till Harry goes to Headquarters. She sat there an idea forming in her mind, it was risky and if she was caught she could kiss going to Hogwarts goodbye but he was worth it. She arranged the pillow in her bed so it looked like her sleeping; looked around the room and spotted her wand she grabbed it hoping she wasn’t going to need it. She climbed out of the window and jumped down into the garden and as quietly as she could closed the window behind her. She took off at a run she ran through the streets, cut through the alleyway and turned into Privet Drive. She couldn’t believe she was doing this as she snuck into number four’s front yard, she prayed no-one was looking out their windows. She looked up at the house, which one was Harry’s room and then she noticed a window open on one of the room’s, that had to be Harry’s he would leave it open for his owl. Beside the window was a trellis hoping it would hold her weight she climbed up till she reached the window. Yes this was his room there was a birdcage sitting beside the window “Harry” she whispered, he didn’t stir “Harry” she said a little louder, still he didn’t wake. Sarina climbed through the window and landed noiselessly on the floor, she crept over to his bed. She stood her over him thinking how best to wake him, she put her hand over his mouth and quickly whispered in his ear “Harry wake up”, his eyes flew open and he struggled to get up “Shh Harry it’s me Sarina”.
He pushed her hand away from his mouth “what are you doing here” he whispered frantically.

“I can’t go into great details here, I just came to tell you that I can’t meet you at the park tomorrow and I had no way else of letting you know”

“Why not – do you know something about what happened tonight”? He asked.

“Yes I heard about the Dementors, my aunt’s work at the Ministry – look Harry I’m leaving tomorrow my aunt’s are taking me home”.

“Why”

“Long story and I can’t go into it here – your going to know everything in a day or so anyway” she told him.

He grabbed her arm “Sarina what’s going on”?

“All I can say is that some people are coming to take you from here – Harry I’ve got to go”

“Wait Sarina, I don’t understand whose coming”?

“Harry please” she hissed “I’ve already told you too much, if I get caught I’m going to be in so much trouble”.

He didn’t look happy but he let go of her arm, she breathed a sigh of relief.

“You’ll know everything soon I promise – I guess I’ll see you on the train” she whispered.

“That’s if they don’t expel me, I have to go to a hearing at the Ministry on the twelfth” he told her miserably.

She didn’t know that “You’ll be fine Harry underage wizards are allowed to do magic in life threatening situations” she patted his arm. “There are a lot of people on your side Harry; they’ll be fighting for you”.

They looked at each other for a moment, then Sarina got up “I’ve really got to go Harry”, she moved over to the window “See you Harry” and she climbed out through the window and down the trellis. Harry got out of bed and stood at the window and watched her climb down, once she reached the bottom, she looked up and gave him a wave and took off into the night.

Harry watched her go feeling very confused, who was coming to get him and why did this girl who he had just met that day risk getting into trouble to let him know.

The next morning Sarina awoke to her Aunt Jess telling her that it was time to get up. “Sarina come and have some breakfast and then you’ll need to pack your bags to return home” she shut the door.

Sarina groaned they were still going to take her away. She got up and dressed and headed into the kitchen “Good morning” she yawned.

“Morning” they said in unison, Aunt Rachel had a scowl on her face “Harry will be taken to Headquarters tonight” she said stiffly.

Sarina nodded but didn’t say anything; she hoped Harry didn’t say anything to them about her night time visit.

“Eat up Sarina, we need to leave soon” Aunt Jess said interrupting her thoughts.

“I think I’ll just have a cup of tea thanks Aunt Jess I’m not very hungry. If it’s alright I’ll take my tea in my room and start packing” Sarina said.

“Okay Sarina” her aunt looked at her “are you alright Sarina you look a little pale”.

“Yes I’m fine” she said absently. Sarina picked up her tea and walked out of the room.

Rachel watched her niece walk out of the kitchen with a frown on her face “she’s got it bad for that boy” she said turning to her sister.

“Well Nicole and Lily always said that there was a connection between Harry and Sarina even at that young age” Jess said thoughtfully.

“What are we going to do about it”?

“Nothing, if it’s meant to be then it’s meant to be” Jess sighed wistfully.

Thank you again Tristin for those kind words. It makes me happy that someone is enjoying this story. So here is a bit more.

Sarina was sitting in the attic of the house she had shared with her father; she was supposed to be packing up the stuff she wanted to take with her. Her aunt’s were downstairs packing up all the belongings. They were putting the house up for rent, now that she wasn’t living there anymore, her aunt’s wanted to sell it but Sarina couldn’t bring herself to sell the house she grew up in. Besides she might need it one day, she wasn’t going to live with her aunt’s for the rest of her life.

She started putting things in boxes when she heard a tapping against the window she looked up and saw a beautiful snowy white owl sitting on the ledge she went over and let it in, it flew onto the desk and held out its leg. She walked over and took the letter that was attached and opened the letter with fumbling fingers her heart was beating abnormally fast; there was only one person she knew who could have sent this, she read the letter.

Dear Sarina,

Hope you are well. Sorry it took so long to write to you a lot has been going on. I don’t know if you know I had my hearing the other day and I have been cleared of all charges and I’ll be returning to Hogwarts. I just want to say thank you for the heads up. I’ll see you on the train on September 1st.

See you soon
Harry.

She looked over at the owl “hello Hedwig” she said stroking its feathers “would you like some water”? Hedwig hooted, she laughed and walked over to the sink and grabbed a bowl and put some water in it and gave it to Hedwig. She took out some paper and a quill and wrote a reply.

Dear Harry,

I’m glad everything went well, told you, you had nothing to worry about. Looking forward to school. See you on the train.

Sarina.

Sarina attached the letter to Hedwig’s leg and carried her to the window, she watched as she took flight and was out of sight before turning back to the room with a huge smile on her face, she got back to packing with a lot more gusto.

Two days before term was to start at Hogwarts Sarina was sitting out in the garden of her aunt’s house.

“Sarina” her aunt Jess called, Sarina turned around and watched her Aunt Jess walking towards her. “There you are, I’ve been looking for you, what are you doing out here”?

“Just enjoying the sunshine” Sarina said

“Well you’ll need to pack all your school things together tonight Sarina, your aunt Rachel and I have been called in to do some work for the Order and we can’t take you to the station. We have to drop you off and some friends will be taking you” Aunt Jess declared.

“You’re not going to see me off on my first day of school” Sarina was hurt.

“We’re sorry Sarina but this is important, we really wanted to be there” she whispered.

“Don’t worry about it, I’ll be fine you two go and do what you’ve got to” she turned away from her aunt.

Aunt Jess watched her for a moment she opened her mouth to say something but thought better of it. She’ll come to understand why it has to be like this she thought.

“We’ll be taking you to Diagon Alley in the morning to buy your school stuff and then we’ll be meeting a member of the order and they’ll take you back to Headquarters”.

Sarina’s head snapped up and she looked at her aunt. “I’ll be staying at Headquarters in London”? She asked

“Yes and they will see you onto the train, you know Rachel and I wish we could be there”

“Its fine Aunt Jess just fine” she jumped to her feet “I’m going to pack right now” she took off towards the house. Aunt Jess watched her niece run into the house chuckling to herself “yes she does have it bad for that boy” she whispered still grinning.

They stood in Diagon Alley the next day outside Flourish and Blotts loaded down with bags of their purchases. Sarina kept looking at her watch anxious to get going “Who’s coming to meet us”? She asked craning her neck to look through the crowd of people.

“Molly Weasley and settle down Sarina, we’ve still got ten minutes before we’re supposed to meet her. Why don’t we get an ice cream” Jess said nodding her head towards the ice cream parlour.

“No I’m not hungry, I’m too excited too eat” she declared

“About going to school or staying at Headquarters” smirked Aunt Rachel

“School of course” Sarina said but she could feel her face growing warm. Her aunt’s gave her a knowing look.

“Oh look here she comes now” Aunt Rachel said pointing her finger towards a slightly plump woman with red hair.

“Sorry I’m late” Mrs Weasley stated “hope you haven’t been waiting long. How are you Rachel, Jessica and you must be Sarina?”

“Hello” Sarina said shyly

“No we haven’t been waiting long at all Molly; we got here a few minutes before you” Aunt Jess smiled.

“Well Sarina have a good term and hopefully we’ll see you at Christmas” Aunt Jess gave her a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

“Try to stay out of trouble and study hard” Aunt Rachel said gruffly and she gave her a kiss on the top of her head.

“See you Molly, any problems you know where to reach us” Jess said.

“Goodbye Sarina” they said in unison and they apparated.

“Well you right to go Sarina, we’re going to have to go the old fashioned way I’m afraid” Mrs Weasley said cheerfully.

“Er okay” she mumbled.

They set off back through the Leaky Cauldron and out onto the streets of London. It wouldn’t have been a bad walk if they didn’t have so many things to lug with them, Mrs Weasley chatted away happily as they walked but Sarina had butterflies in her stomach and she didn’t know whether it was because she was going to be staying with strangers or because of a certain boy with untidy black hair and bright green eyes she looked away from Mrs Weasley so that she wouldn’t see her blushing. They walked into a deserted and dirty street.

“I didn’t tell the kids you were coming, thought we might surprise them” Mrs Weasley said bringing Sarina out of her reverie.

They stopped in front of some houses, Mrs Weasley pulled out a piece of paper and gave it to Sarina “just memorise the address” she said.

Sarina looked down at the paper and read The Headquarters for the Order of the Phoenix can be found at number 12 Grimmauld Place London. When she finished reading, she looked up and saw that a new house had squeezed itself between the other two.

“Let’s go Sarina”

They walked up the front path and entered through the door.

“Now follow me Sarina and keep quiet” she whispered and they walked down the hallway and turned left into the kitchen. Sarina entered the room and looked around nervously there was a number of people sitting around a wooden table.

“I’m back” announced Mrs Weasley “and I have our visitor” she pushed Sarina gently forward.

“Sarina this is Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, Kingsley Shacklebolt, Mundungus Fletcher and Nymphadora Tonks”

“Just Tonks thanks Molly” said the girl with bright pink hair “how you going Sarina”?

“Good thank you” Sarina mumbled

“My god you look like your mother” Sirius remarked “doesn’t she Remus”

“She certainly does” Remus smiled “welcome to the mad house Sarina”

“Thank you, I think” she said

“Where are the kids”? Asked Mrs Weasley

“Upstairs in their rooms” answered Tonks “would you like me to go get them Molly”?

“No that’s okay I’ll do it myself I need to drop off their packages, have a seat Sarina I’ll be back in a jiffy” she smiled kindly at her.

Sarina sat down on the nearest chair and started fiddling with a bottle cap that was on the table.

“How are your aunt’s”? Remus asked her

“There good, busy at the moment” she replied

“Very gifted witches those two, so was your mother very gifted indeed, put the three of them together and they were amazing” Sirius said.

Sarina didn’t know what to say so she just nodded her head. She could hear people walking down the hall, she turned towards the door and two older boys with red hair walked in followed by a younger girl also with red hair. They were talking and laughing but stopped dead when they noticed her.

“Fred, George, and Ginny this is…”

“SARINA” a voice called out from the door

“Exactly” Remus finished surprised

Sarina turned towards the door and her face lit up with a big smile “Harry” she exclaimed “it’s so good to see you”. She got up and walked over to him and gave him a hug, but let go very quickly when she realised the room had gone quiet and all eyes were upon her “sorry got carried away” her face going very red.

“That’s okay, it’s good to see you too” Harry smiled at her. She felt as if all her Christmases had come at once just looking at him.

“Well as I was saying Fred, George, Ginny, Ron and Hermione this is Sarina and she will be staying tonight and going on the train with you all tomorrow” said Remus “and obviously you two have already met” he looked at Harry questioningly.

“Long story, tell you about it later” chuckled Harry

“Now that we’re all here I thought we’d have a little party not a sit down dinner, your father and Bill are on their way and they’re both thrilled Ron” said Mrs Weasley.

Ron groaned, Fred rolled his eyes and George scoffed, they all moved off to get some food.

“What’s Ron done that’s so thrilling”? Sarina asked Harry

“Oh he and Hermione have been made prefects” Harry answered pointing to a large banner that said CONGRATULATIONS RON AND HERMOINE NEW PREFECTS.

“You don’t sound too thrilled though Harry”

“I am I just…..” he trailed off

“Thought it would be you” she finished for him “come on who wants the responsibility and extra work that comes with being a prefect, there’d be no time left for fun”

“Yeah I suppose so” he said.

Hermione had walked over to join them and had obviously heard what Sarina had said; she had a disapproving look on her face.

“No disrespect Hermione” Sarina said quickly “I just think Harry deserves some fun and a little less worry”

“Yes of course I quite agree” Hermione said stiffly

Sarina caught Harry’s eye and they turned away so they wouldn’t start laughing.

“I’m going to see what Fred and George are up to” Harry said

“So Sarina, Harry told us all about you when he got here, I can’t believe you’ve done four years of studies from home it’s just amazing” she said
“Yeah I know but I’m glad I was able to do it, I just wish I hadn’t missed out on making friends and joining in activities at Hogwarts” Sarina sighed

Hermione patted her on the arm “well you’ve got friends now” she smiled

“Thanks Hermione that means a lot” she told her.

The night passed too quickly for Sarina she was having a good time talking to her new friends and eating the delicious food. It felt like she had only just got there when Mrs Weasley came back in the room and told them it was time for bed. Sarina’s heart leapt with excitement tomorrow she was finally going to Hogwarts.

The next morning was bedlam people going this way and that way collecting their things together. Finally after a lot of yelling from Mrs Weasley they were ready to leave. Harry went first with Mrs Weasley and Tonks.

“Sarina you come with me Ron and Hermione” Mr Weasley called.

It took twenty minutes to reach the station and with the help of Mr Weasley through the barrier, Sarina got her first look at the Hogwarts Express. They put the luggage onto the train and stepped back onto the platform to say their goodbyes, Sarina stood back from the others feeling a little bit alone Mrs Weasley broke away from the others and came over to her and enveloped her in a motherly hug.

“It was very nice to meet you Sarina dear, you have a good time” she said warmly

“Thanks for everything Mrs Weasley” she whispered with a lump in her throat.

The rest of the crowd came over and she was saying goodbye to them all “It was great to meet you all”.

The whistle sounded from the train and they all hurried to get on the train, they waved and called out from the window as the train began to move.

“Let’s go find a compartment” Harry said

“Ron and I have to go into the prefect’s carriage first” Hermione said “I don’t think we have to be in there the whole journey.”

Ron looked uncomfortable and wouldn’t meet their eyes.

“Okay we’ll see you later then” Harry muttered.

Harry, Sarina and Ginny took off down the corridor to find an empty compartment. They found one at the end of the train, they went in and no sooner had they sat down when there was a knock on the door.

“Come in Neville” said Harry

Neville entered the compartment dragging his trunk with one hand and carrying a toad in the other. Harry helped him stow his luggage away and he sat down “thanks Harry’. He looked over to where Sarina and Ginny were sitting. Harry noticed the confused look on his face said

“Neville this is Sarina Taylor a new student, Sarina this is Neville Longbottom”

“Nice to meet you Neville” Sarina said holding out her hand to shake his.

“Yeah same here” Neville replied

Harry and Neville started talking about what they did in their holidays. Ginny was telling Sarina all about Hogwarts, they swapped magazines Sarina giving Ginny a muggle magazine and Ginny giving Sarina Witch Weekly. Neville was showing Harry a little plant he had got for his birthday, he gave it a little prod and liquid spurted from it in every direction, Sarina and Ginny raised their magazines just in time only copping a little bit of the bright green liquid. Harry and Neville however were completely covered Sarina let out a howl of laughter, which died out the moment the door of their compartment slid open and a very pretty girl with long shiny hair stood in the doorway.

“Hello Harry” she said “umm bad time”?

Harry looked over to the door “Oh hi” he said

“Just thought I’d come and say hello” said the girl “see you”.

She closed the door and left. Harry groaned and slumped back in his chair. Sarina turned to Ginny her eyebrows raised.

“That was Cho Chang” Ginny whispered behind her magazine “she’s in Ravenclaw sixth year. Harry fancies her”.

Sarina looked back towards the door and then over to Harry the smile fading from her face. The bottom just fell out of her stomach and suddenly the happy feeling she’d had was now gone.

Ron and Hermione turned up about an hour later, telling them who the other prefects were and discussing what they’d like to do to a boy called Malfoy and his friends. A little while later as they all sat there talking and eating chocolate frogs the compartment door slid open again and three boys walked in. One had sleek blond hair and a pointed face and the other two looked like gorillas.

“Well if it isn’t Potty and the Weasel, how does it feel to come second to Weasley, Potter”? He sneered

“Shut up Malfoy” snapped Hermione

“Ooh touched a nerve have I…” he stopped talking; he had turned to look around the compartment when he noticed Sarina. For a moment he was at a loss for words, she was quite stunning, he was utterly mesmerised by her he wanted to go over and introduce himself and take her hand in his. But then he realised that everyone was watching him so instead he said.

“Well, well who do we have here”? He looked her up and down with an appreciative look. “You shouldn’t be sitting here with these losers, come down and sit with people who don’t lack proper wizarding qualities” he declared looking around at the others.

She narrowed her eyes; she couldn’t believe anyone could be so arrogant. “Thanks but I’d rather jump off this moving train then go anywhere with you” she said scathingly. The others laughed.

He was taken aback by her words and felt hurt that she would speak to him that way but he had to keep up the act. “Why you” he took a step towards her, she sprang out of her seat with fists clenched. But Harry, Ron and Ginny moved in front of her with wands drawn and pointing them at Malfoy. He glanced at the wands and then back at Sarina “I’d watch your back if I were you” he said backing out of the compartment.

‘Ooh I’m so scared” she shouted back.

Harry turned to Sarina “are you alright”? He asked

“Course I am” she said airily

“What were you going to do”? Ron asked amazed “you jumped out of that seat so fast, I thought you were going to hit him or something”

“I was thinking about it” she smiled

“You’re mad” Ron said shaking his head.

“You need to watch out for Malfoy, Sarina he can be really mean” Hermione said looking anxious.

“Don’t worry about it, I can handle myself he doesn’t scare me” Sarina said with a smirk on her face.

That's it for now but I might have time later to post more.

Well here is more of the story. I do wish there were more readers for this story.

The rest of the trip went by without anymore incidents and before she knew it the train was slowing down and then came to a complete stop. Ron and Hermione went off to show the first years where to go. Harry, Neville, Ginny and Sarina jumped onto the platform and headed over to the carriages they stood by a carriage waiting for Ron and Hermione, when they saw them coming Sarina, jumped in the carriage with Neville and Ginny followed by Hermione, Harry and Ron were still outside talking.

“Are you two coming or not” Hermione snapped.

The ride up to the castle was quite bumpy, Sarina looked out the window and got her first look at Hogwarts, Harry was right it was beautiful.

They jumped out of the carriages once they had stopped and dashed up the stairs into the Entrance Hall. Sarina had just got a glimpse of the inside when someone tapped her on the shoulder; she turned and was face to face with a stern looking witch.

“Miss Taylor, I am Professor McGonagall you will need to come with me, so we can sort you before the first years get here” she ordered.

“Oh right” Sarina mumbled, she looked nervously over at the others.

“You’ll be fine Sarina, we’ll save you a seat” Harry whispered.

“You don’t know what house I’ll be in” she wailed.
“You will be a Gryffindor, I just know it” he said simply.

She followed Professor McGonagall into an empty room off the entrance, Professor McGonagall pointed to a stool.

“Sit down there Miss Taylor and put this hat on your head, it will tell you which house you will belong to” she barked.

Sarina sat down on the stool and took the hat from Professor McGonagall; she hesitated for a second then brought the hat up towards her head. It had barely touched her hair when it shouted out “GRYFFINDOR”. Sarina almost cried with relief.

“Okay Miss Taylor you may now join your fellow Gryffindors for the feast” Professor McGonagall gave her a thin smile.

Sarina ran out of the room across the Entrance Hall and over to the Great Hall. She stopped at the doors and looked around for her friends, she spotted Harry waving at her and she made her way over to their table. She could feel people staring at her and whispering, but she didn’t care nothing could take away her happiness right now. She sat down beside Hermione and across from Harry.

“Well it’s official, I am a Gryffindor” she said breathlessly.

“Congratulations Sarina” Hermione said, she turned to Harry “how were you so sure she’d be a Gryffindor Harry”? She asked him.

“Because she’s got all the makings of a Gryffindor” Harry replied his eyes twinkling and he gave Sarina a wink.

Hermione eyed the both of them carefully for a moment, but she didn’t say anything. Draco sat across the hall at the Slytherin table also eying Harry and Sarina and he did not like what he saw, he would have to try a different approach with her. After the feast had finished they went up to their dormitories to go to bed. It had been a big day for Sarina and she was quite tired, she bade the others goodnight.

The next morning they all headed down to breakfast together. They sat there talking about Umbridge’s speech the night before and what her lessons would be like and where Hagrid could be and hoping there was nothing wrong.

“I was really looking forward to meeting him, after everything Harry’s told me about him” Sarina said.

“Yeah he’s great” Harry said absently “I wish everyone would stop staring and whispering” he added angrily.

“Well your going to have to get used to it” Hermione said matter of factly “until you know who comes out into the open people are going to keep wondering whether it’s true or not” she finished in a whisper.

Harry pushed his plate away angrily how much more of this was he going to have to put up with. Before he could dwell on the problem anymore Professor McGonagall was now moving along the table handing out the timetables.

“This has got to be one of the worst Monday’s I’ve ever seen” Ron moaned looking at his timetable as they made their way to History of Magic.

After class had finished they were standing out in the courtyard during break talking, when Cho Chang rounded the corner.

“Hello Harry”

“Hi” said Harry his face going red.

Sarina stood there not listening to the conversation; she eyed Cho with narrowed eyes. It wasn’t that she didn’t like Cho she didn’t really know her, but she was her competition for Harry, so they weren’t likely to be best friends. She watched as Cho walked off and could hear Ron and Hermione bickering something about Ron attacking Cho about her Quidditch team. The bell had gone and they started off towards Potions, Sarina couldn’t help but give Ron a pat on the back.

The day had been a very long one in Sarina’s opinion, she sat down at the table for dinner with the others her head feeling as though it was about to burst. The talk turned to Harry’s outburst in Umbridge’s class and they weren’t the only one’s discussing it either, on the other tables people were talking about it as well and looking over at Harry to see if they could get a reaction out of him.

“Let’s get out of here” said Hermione loudly.

They all got up from the table and headed out of the hall. People were whispering as they walked passed and a pair of first years were staring avidly at Harry blocking the doorway.

“Don’t you know it’s rude to stare” Sarina snapped at them, they quickly scurried away.

“Thanks Sarina” Harry mumbled.

“Don’t mention it”

They walked into the common room; Fred and George were surrounded by first years who were hanging onto their every word while they handed out sweets to them. Hermione stalked off towards them no doubt to tell them off. Harry and Ron had gone to sit by the fire, Sarina looked around the room and as much as she wanted to stay she had homework to do and she knew she wouldn’t be able to finish it in here, she was not used to this much noise.

She walked over to Harry and Ron “I’m going to do my homework in my dormitory, where it’s a little more quiet” she told them “Goodnight”

“Goodnight” they said in unison.

Two weeks, it had only been two weeks since she had started at Hogwarts it felt like a lifetime Sarina thought. She trudged her way back to the common room after spending a couple of hours in the library. She had never had so much homework to do; she’d never had a problem when she was studying from home because there was nothing else to do but school work. Now that she was at Hogwarts, she had friends and other activities to keep her amused. She was finding it difficult to keep up; she climbed through the portrait hole and made her way over to Ron and Hermione.

“Where’ve you been Sarina”? Hermione asked looking up from her book.

“In the library trying to get a grip on all this work” she sighed “but I got to say I’m struggling”

“Would you like me to help out”? Hermione asked smiling “I won’t do the work for you, but I can help you prioritise”.

“That would be a big help Hermione, with so much stuff going on here I get caught in everything else” Sarina groaned.

Hermione got out some parchment and a quill and started drawing up tables.

“You’ll be sorry now Sarina” Ron laughed “She’s always trying to do this for me and Harry”. Hermione poked her tongue out at him.

“Speaking of Harry where is he”? Sarina asked.

“Detention with Umbridge” Ron growled.

“She’s horrible that woman, we’re never going to learn anything from her” Sarina remarked.

“I know” Hermione said “but I’ve got an idea”.

Just then Harry climbed through the portrait hole with his hand wrapped in a scarf. Sarina looked at him and felt a rush of hatred towards Professor Umbridge.

“Here Harry, soak your hand in this it will relieve the pain” Hermione told him

“Thanks Hermione” Harry said gratefully.

“Er Harry” Hermione said tentatively “we’ve just been talking about Umbridge’s classes and how we’re not going to learn anything from her and well I’ve got an idea’ she looked at him nervously.

“What’s that”? Harry asked looking at her suspiciously.

“Well we need a teacher, someone who’s actually going to show us some real defence and I thought……” she faltered for a moment and then took a deep breath “and I thought that someone should be you”.

Harry looked at her as if she had gone mad; he looked over at Ron ready to laugh with him at Hermione’s crazy idea. But to his amazement Ron wasn’t laughing, he was nodding his head in agreement.

Sarina sat up in her chair “that’s a brilliant idea Hermione” she said.

“Me teach you defence, it’s absurd” Harry laughed.

“Think about all the things you have done Harry, it makes sense” Hermione cried.

Harry shook his head he could not believe they were all seriously considering this, Ron spoke up this time “look at how many times you have come up against you-know-who Harry and gotten away alive”.

“Yeah but that wasn’t just me, most of the time help came at the right time or luck was on my side, it wasn’t skill” he said angrily “don’t try to make me out as some hero and that Cedric was stupid that’s why he was killed. You don’t know what it’s like standing there facing him and know your about to die” he spat out.

Hermione looked horrified and was on the verge of tears, Ron was stammering his apologies, Sarina stood up and walked to Harry she put her hand on his shoulder and spoke in a quiet voice “that’s why we need you Harry, you have faced him and even though you knew he was going to try and kill you – you still tried to fight him anyway”.

He looked into her eyes and felt the touch of her hand on his shoulder, what she had said made sense; he took a deep breath his anger ebbing away. He gave a weak smile “sorry” he muttered and sank back down in his chair.

Hermione breathed a sigh of relief “Just think about it okay”

“Okay” he mumbled.

The next two weeks were just as long and difficult as the first two weeks, but Sarina felt as though at least she was coping with her school work better thanks to Hermione. The four of them could be found in the library one night doing their homework when Hermione looked up from her book and spoke.

“Harry I was just wondering whether you had thought more about the idea of teaching us Defence”

“Yeah I have” he said slowly “and okay I’ll teach you three”

“Well I think it would be a good idea if you taught anyone who wanted to learn” she said matter of factly.

He was silent for a moment thinking, Ron watched him warily and Sarina held her breath.

“Okay” he said after a while “I doubt anyone else will want to come, but I’m willing”.

“Yes” Ron and Sarina said together and high fived each other, Hermione sat there positively beaming and Harry wore a grin from ear to ear.

“We’ll sound some people out and meet at Hogsmeade next weekend” Hermione ordered.

The Hogsmeade weekend rolled around very quickly. Sarina, Harry, Ron and Hermione were walking through the village towards the Hogs Head; they stood out the front looking at it apprehensively.

“Well Hermione this is the place you picked, so after you” Sarina gave a bow and waved towards the door. Hermione gave her a dirty look as she headed towards the door, Sarina followed her chuckling.

They had no sooner sat down when the door opened and more people came in. They all sat down looking at Harry, not a bad turnout Sarina thought as she counted heads a total of twenty eight people, not bad at all. After an hour of discussion they all headed back outside and went their separate ways. Hermione went into one of the shops to buy a new quill with Ron hot on her heels, Harry went to follow but Sarina held out her hand to stop him.

“Harry can I have a quick word”? She asked

Harry looked a little confused “Er sure, what’s up”?

“I know a place where we can all go to learn defence, my aunt’s told me about it” she said excitement in her voice.

“Yes go on”

“It’s called the Room of Requirement; it’s on the seventh floor. Not everybody knows about it, but it is always there ready to be called upon and is always equipped with whatever the user requires” she told him.

“I remember Dumbledore mentioning this room last year. Yes this is excellent Sarina. Why didn’t you say anything about it in the Hogs Head”? He asked.

“I wanted to run it by you first, see what you thought” she said simply.

“It’s brilliant we’ll let the others know” he clapped her on the back.

The next few months went by very quickly for Sarina she could hardly believe that it was almost Christmas, with all the school work, DA lessons and other various activities, the last two months seemed to be a blur. But for the first time she was having the time of her life, in fact her life was almost perfect there was just one little hitch in it and that hitch came in the form of a certain Ravenclaw seeker.

They were just finishing up their last DA lesson before the holidays; everybody was leaving through the door. Harry was lagging behind fixing the cushions and Cho Chang was hanging back also, Sarina stopped by the door and watched them for a moment, she clenched her fists by her sides, the green eyed monster was rearing its ugly head again. She didn’t want to give them anytime alone together, she was about to call out to Harry when Hermione grabbed her by the hand and pulled her through the door hissing in her ear.

“Let them have sometime alone, come on let’s go”.

Sarina reluctantly left the room and walked back up to the Gryffindor common room, her stomach was churning horribly she was trying not to think about what was happening between Harry and Cho but pictures of them kissing kept entering her mind. Once inside the common room Ron and Hermione headed over to the chairs by the fire. Sarina wanted to be by herself, so fighting back the tears she told Ron and Hermione that she was going to bed. She ran up to the dormitory and flung herself onto the bed and cried her eyes out till she fell asleep.

Hermione woke her the next morning and told her of Harry’s vision of Mr Weasley and that he, Ron, Ginny, Fred and George had been taken to Headquarters.

“As soon as classes have finished I’m taking the Knight Bus and going over there” Hermione said.

“I’m coming with you” Sarina said throwing her things in the trunk.

“I thought you might say that”

They arrived at Headquarters later that night and were told by Ginny that Harry had locked himself away and wouldn’t talk to anybody. Hermione went upstairs to go and get him, while the rest of them waited in Ron and Harry’s bedroom. After about twenty minutes Hermione entered the room followed by Harry.

“Sarina and I came on the Knight Bus” she was saying as she came into the room “but we had to wait till term officially ended before we could make the trip. Ginny told us what you all heard at the hospital”.

“THAT’LL BE RIGHT ALL TALKING ABOUT ME BEHIND MY BACK” Harry yelled.

“We wanted to talk to you Harry” Ginny said “but you keep hiding away from us”.

“YOU WON’T EVEN LOOK AT ME, I’M BEING POSSESSED AND YOU’RE ALL SCARED…..”

Sarina stood up and went over to Harry and laid her hand on his arm.

“I think you should hear what Ginny’s got to say” she said in a quiet and calm voice.

Harry looked down where her hand was and felt a warm sensation run through his body and felt his anger begin to wash away. He was confused this was the second time that Sarina had managed to calm him down after an angry outburst. He looked over at the others and they were all staring at the two of them.

“Sorry” he mumbled “you were saying Ginny”

Ginny started talking to him about the time she was possessed by Riddle. Sarina stood beside Harry listening to the conversation Hermione however stood there and watched the interaction between Harry and Sarina with a faint smile on her face.

Christmas had come and gone and they were now heading back to Hogwarts. As they were heading up to Gryffindor Tower Cho Chang caught up with Harry. Hermione quickly steered Sarina away dragging her by the sleeve. They made their way into the dormitories to put their trunks away. After the other girls had left and they were alone Hermione finally spoke.

“You like Harry, don’t you Sarina”?
“Of course I like him, he’s my friend” she said sounding exasperated.

“You know what I mean Sarina” Hermione said

“I don’t know……..” but she stopped what was the point in lying to Hermione she had obviously figured it out.

“I don’t just like him Hermione” she sighed “I’m in love with him and it’s driving me crazy”

“I knew it’ Hermione squealed “what are you going to do”?

“What can I do he’s with Cho and he’s liked her for a while now. He’s got enough on his plate at the moment without having a complicated love life” she cried.

Hermione put her arms around Sarina and gave her a hug “you won’t ever know if you don’t tell him” she whispered.

Sarina laughed “that’s a bit rich coming from you Hermione, have you told Ron how you feel about him” she raised her eyebrows at her.

“I..I don’t” she stammered.

Sarina laughed again “Okay Hermione I won’t hassle you about your love life, if you don’t hassle me about mine”

Hermione looked sheepish.

“The thing is Hermione; I know that we are meant to be together there is a connection between us. Cho is not the right girl for him and he’ll come to realise that, so I’ll be patient and wait for that t
