This is my very first fanific, so don't be too harsh

this is a D/Hr fic....enjoyyy

Things were going fine. Until she had to say something, and it was over in a flash. I did love her. But i couldn't say that. I know I had a chance with her and i gave up; but that doesn't mean i didn't want to be with her.

It was the beginning of my fourth year and I was on the Hogwarts train about to enter this insane place of a school. Man I couldn’t wait until I could get out of here and please my father by becoming a death eater. This was not a good day, and to make things worse, Pansy was in one of her I’m-obsessed-with-Draco moods.
“Draco , what’s wrong honey? Do you want to me to get you something? Anything at all? Please???”
“No pansy, for the last time, I’m fine. I need some air.”
As I walked out of th e compartment, I bumped into someone.
“Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry! I wasn’t looking.”
She had beautiful brown curls and an extremely curvy body. I couldn’t stop staring and smirking…until I found out who it was.
“Ouch, watch where you’re going, do you know who you just ran into?”
“Oh, Malfoy. On second thought, I take that apology back.”
“Not like I care, it wasn’t like you were going to get one from me, mudblood.” I replied with that signature smirk on my face.
“Why must you always call me that? You could at least try being nice once in a while. I mean maybe we could have been friends.”
“HA! Seriously? I would never become friends with you, not only cause you’re a mudblood. It’s cause of potter and weaselby.”
“Ugh, whatever bye!
Wow, Granger looks really good. She must have changed over the summer. Not that I was complaining.

"Hey guys, you'll never believe who I ran into."
"Malfoy?" said Harry and Ron in unison.
"Uh, yeah." i wonder why he was looking at me that way, was it because I changed over the summer? He looked pretty good himself. WHAT AM I THINKING??? i have a perfect boyfriend sitting right next to me, Ron. He was everything I could have asked for, nice, kind, caring. And besides, Malfoy was a jerk. I mean I did punch him last year, I think I got my point across. He's really cute but as a person he isn't. I wonder why he was always that way. Was it because of his extremely bad role models? like bellatrix, lucius, narcissa, and not to mention, voldemort himself. Maybe he's just misunderstood I mean-
"'Moine? u ok?" said Ron, interrupting my thoughts
"Oh yeah, I'm fine."
"ok...but you seem-"
"Oh look I can see Hogwarts already!"
"Boy am I excited for this year, with the whole triwizard tournament and all!"
"And not to mention the yule ball."
"ughhh." said the boys
"What?"
"hermoine, if you think that I'm gonna go to that you're crazy! My mum would send me those hideous dress robes that look AND smell like my great aunt Tessie." Ron would have gone last year...
"Oh Ronald, I'll convince you sooner or later." And I gave him a very passionate kiss, after all, I really wanted to go to the yule ball. I felt awkward doing it in front of harry and of course, he did too. He just sat there with his hands in his lap and waited until we were done.
"Wow, um yeah. I guess we could, uh, go for a little bit." said a stunned Ron
"Good. The train stopped, we're here!"

"Come on Draco! Let's sit together, forever!" cried Pansy
"Pansy, when are you going to get it? I don't want to be with you!" And I stormed off. I couldn't stand that annoyance. She was a constant thorn in my side! I just wanted to be alone. So I walked out in the halls while everyone else was eating. then I heard someone coming so I turned into a dark corner.

"You guys go ahead, I have to go to the bathroom."
"ok, whatever." Ron was starting to get on my last nerve.
I was walking the corridors of the school. Man did I miss this place. Then I saw a shadow appear from behind a dark corner. And you'll never guess who it was.
"Gee Granger, us running into each other constantly, people might think that you're stalking me or something. I mean who can blame you though? i am dashingly handsome. Am I right?"
"Shove off Malfoy, why don't you do us all a favor and stop being a jerk. Or better yet, stay away from us for good." I'm not sure about this, but I thought I saw a flicker of hurt in his eyes, which surprisingly hurt me too.
"Listen, sorry about that. All of it."
"Malfoy?!? Apologizing to ME!?"
"What? no! i would never! and if you tell anyone about it, I'll personally take care of you myself!"
"yeah, right. whatever."
What the heck just happened! Malfoy just apologized to me! and i kinda liked it. maybe he really is trying to change this year.

Potions class. Man I hate how we have to have it with gryffindors. Hermoine is probably going to bother me about this whole apology thing. But I guess i shouldn't complain she is a beauty to look at this year.
"Now, class, It may be the first day of term, but that doesn't mean we aren't allowed to have a project." Moans immediately came from the class.
"SILENCE! don't be ungrateful little brats and whine about this. Now you will be working in partners and researching several potions. Let's get partners now. Chang and Potter. Finnigan and Longbottom."
I really hope i don't get paired with hermoine, she won't stop asking about that apology. or worse, she'll think that i'm gonna start acting nice to her. "Lovegood and Weasley. Malfoy and Granger. "
Just my luck huh?
"Malfoy, it's not like you and I want to work together on this project, but we're gonna have to. so meet me in the library during free period today."
Man did she look hot when she was angry.

Chapterr 3!

As I came back from telling malfoy to meet me in the library, harry started feeling bad for me
"i cant believe you got malfoy as a partner hermoine." said harry
"what about me? I'm got loony lovegood." cried Ron
"Hey ron, that's not nice! Luna's a nice person." Last year, Ron would never say anything like that about anyone. I have no idea why he would do it now. Maybe there's more than just Draco changing.

Later that day in the library I started working right away. 15 minutes later, malfoy came.
"It's about time you showed up, now we have to research Felix Felicis." when the bell rang a little later, we both got up.
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
"It's nothing, I just think that you look really pretty this year." said Draco out of the blue.
"oh um, thanks? why are you all of a sudden being nice to me?"
"No reason." He replied that oh-so signature smirk on his face. It kinda made me melt.

Wow, I was falling for Gra-Hermoine. She was beautiful, what wasn't there to like? It's just, when i'm around her, I feel different. Different than I've ever felt before, she makes me feel like a real person, not like the godly essence put on me. Who knows why, but i do know one thing, i need hermoine all to myself. I lay in my bed thinking about how to get Hermoine until I fell asleep dreaming about Hermoine.

"So ron, what do you want to do tonight?"
"Nothing hermoine, god i wish you would stop nagging me all the time." As Ron ran up the stairs to his room, i felt abandoned. Who was this new ron and why did he treat me like dirt? Draco hasn't even been treating me that way, I thought, as I also walked up to my room. I think that he's been really nice. I kind of liked him, i doubt that Ron even cares, I'm probably just a trophy for him to show off to his friends, or a know-it-all book for him to read. Maybe draco was acting that way because he liked me the way that i liked him. I'm not sure, but i'd have to wait to find out. I fell asleep thinking about him and wondered if he felt the same way.

The next day in the library we were talking about all this fun stuff. i was actually having a good time with him. Then the bell rang and I guess we both got dissapointed because we were sighed simultaneously.
"Well I guess we'll have to come back tomorrow since we didn't get anything done. But I did have a nice time today. Thank you draco."
"you're welcome. To make this day even more special..." Then he did something that I don't think i could have expected at all. This was the last thing I thought he would do. He kissed me, rather passionately if I do say so myself. I returned it with great passion. It lasted a whole minute with him licking my lips and us playing with each others tongues fervently. I felt like I was flying, and not in a quidditch sort of way, a much more magical way, and when he let go, I was upset, I wanted it to last forever. Ron never made me feel that way, and i desperately wished that it was draco who was my boyfriend and not ron.
"Well I guess we better go to class, don't want to be late." He said with a smile
"uh, yeah. you're right. That was, um, really nice." I replied with another smirk.
"I can give you a lot more than ron can, you just have to open your eyes to see it. Goodbye hermoine."
"goodbye draco." i said in a whisper. i was completely shocked and I knew at that moment that i should break up with Ron. But i didn't have the heart to. I mean what would people think when Draco and I went out? I couldn't break up with ron. Not yet anyways.

Thank you to all of my readers! it means A LOT to me especially since this is my first fanfic.

I was on my way to the library, as usual. Then all of a sudden I get dragged into one of the empty classrooms. Whoever is kidnapping me right now, put their hand over my mouth to prevent me from screaming.
"Hermoine! stop screaming! It's me draco!" he let go of me and obviously i start screaming.
"Draco! what is your problem! why did you drag me into this classroom!?"
"To do this"
Then I suddenly feel is cool lips on mine. I was mad at him, but i couldn't resist his soft lips and the gray eyes that drew me towards him in the first place. This kiss was a lot more passionate than the last one. He pushed me up against the wall and was rubbing up and down on my back. I replied back in the same passionate way that he was doing to me and I wrapped my arms around his neck. I started to run my fingers through his beautiful blonde hair. I felt like a princess and that no one could make me any happier. When we broke apart, my arms were still around his neck and he was looking into my eyes.
"hermoine, I really like you. And i'm pretty sure you know that by now. I want to be with you."
I was stunned.

"Draco" she said to me, "I like you too. But I'm with ron right now. It's not going that great. But I think that I should still stay with him for a little bit. I promise that if it gets worse, I'll come back to you."
I couldn't deny that offer, even though it was kind of unfair. I wanted to be with her so much that I didn't care what it took. Obviously i knew that she was going to break up with him. I'm Draco Malfoy, who can resist being with me?
"Ok, fine, but you have to come back. Promise?"
"i promise" I then proceeded to snog her a bit more. I'm glad that she was going to dump that weasley to be with me. I just hoped that it would be soon. I knew I was a lot better than he was.

Tonight is the night of the Yule Ball. I was so excited to be going with....well I'm not sure if I'm excited to go with ron, but i'm excited to go. Ron's behavior has gotten a lot worse lately. Draco and I haven't snogged since the classroom incident, but we have been talking and I like him a lot more now. I know it's not fair to ron, but he isn't exactly being fair to me either.
"HERMOINE! I AGREED TO GO, AND NOW YOU HAVE TO COME! The faster we get there, the faster we can leave."
"Ron, can you at least try to have a good time tonight? please."
"No thanks, i'm fine." Of course i was upset by what ron just said to me, but i can't say i didn't expect it. It's just who he is now i guess. As i walked down the stairs I saw Draco and he looked at me, and i immediately felt that he and I were the only ones in the room.

I saw hermoine and I was falling for her all over again. she was the most beautiful girl in the room, school, world, heck even the universe. I just wish she wasn't lugging around that trash, Weasley. I didn't have a date, but that was okay with me. I was saving myself for a dance with her. I sat around, ate, talked to some friends. Then when the last song came on, and Weasley was in the bathroom, i made my move.
"Hey hermoine, would you like to dance with me?"
"Of course, Draco" She was blushing, it was the cutest thing ever. She wrapped her arms around my neck and I wrapped mine around her waist.
"so hermoine, when are you going to dump him? It's been a while. You don't still have feelings for him do you?"
"No, absolutely not, he's been acting like a jerk lately. You know how you used to act....No i'm sorry. I didn't mean that...it's just"
"It's okay, I know what you mean."
"I just think it's because of all the attention Harry's been getting. But I was planning on breaking up with him tonight."
that probably wasn't the best idea for her to say that right there...

"HERMOINE!!! what in the world are you doing?! Dancing with draco? acting like a couple? telling him that you're going to break up with me tonight? Fine if that's what you want, then we're done!"
"Ron!" I ran after him. Yes, I was going to break up with him that night, but that's definitely not how i wanted it to end between us. He probably won't ever be friends with me again.
"Ron!"
"What?!"
"I'm sorry. I was just dancing with draco, it's nothing to worry about."
"Then why did you just tell him that you were going to break up with me tonight?"
"...It's just you and I haven't been on the same page lately. I don't feel like a girlfriend, i feel more like a friend."
"*sigh*...Yeah, i guess i know what you're saying. I've kind of been feeling the same way. but it wasn't right to break up with me like that."
"I know and i feel terrible about it. I'm sorry"
"it's ok." We hugged and everything was back to normal.
"Well I"m tired, so i'll see you tomorrow k?"
"Yeah, goodnight"
"night"

"so what now?" said a sexy voice in the corner. I turned around and I ran up to him. I put my lips on his and we went into a classroom, to have another snogging session. I'm starting to think that's our place.

Draco and i have been together for 4 months now. In hiding, of course.
"Draco, so what do you want to do today?"
"Well if you meet me by the lake at midnight tonight, i can show you."
"haha of course. I'll see you then." he kissed me and we were both off to class.

I came down at midnight and I saw that he set up a picnic by the lake .
"Hi stranger"
"Hi hermoine, I'm really glad you came."
"me too." and he greeted me with a kiss. We were finished with our picnic and then out of nowhere, draco took off his shirt. He revealed his chest which had a six pack and his arms were full of muscle. I couldn't stop myself from staring.
"earth to hermoine."
"huh? oh uh, sorry." i blushed, boy was that embarrassing.
"haha that's ok, i was thinking that we could go for a swim."
"a swim? but we don't have our bathing suits."
"we don't need them. We don't need anything." he replied with a smirk on his face. He then proceeded to take all of his clothes and jump into the lake. I joined him and we had a great time. My arms were wrapped around his neck and i knew that this was the moment.
"Draco, I love you."

I'm so sorry that I haven't been able to post anything for a while, it's just i've been swarmed with school. But the good news is that this is the last chapter!

I dropped her onto her feet. She just said that she loved me. I've never loved anyone before so I don't know if this was it. I wasn't ready for love. I've stayed true to hermoine our whole relationship, but i just didn't know.
"hermoine, i-i cant say it back. I'm sorry." the tears started swelling up into her eyes.
"it-it's ok." She ran out, gathered her clothes and went back to the school. I felt like a jerk. we didn't talk at all after that. We went through the rest of our 4th year, and our fifth. the whole time managing not to talk to each other. I don't know how, but after 1.5 years, i still felt terrible.

Present:
It's our 6th year and I missed hermoine more than ever. Harry defeated voldemort last year at the ministry, so i wouldn't have to do anything severe this year. And i was glad about that, i couldn't deal with a mission and my heart aching for hermoine. We still haven't talked and it killed me. Slughorn's party was coming up and I'm hoping that she wouldn't be bringing a date...

"Look who I saw lurking in the halls professor slughorn." growled filch
"ok, ok i was gate-crashing happy?! I'm leaving now, so let go!" He let go of Draco. we met eyes for a second and he stormed off. I've been missing him lately. We've both dated but nothing made me feel the same way i did when i was with draco. I knew I had to do something. I ran after him.
"draco!" he turned around and was suprised to see me. "are you okay?"
"yeah, i'm fine. hermoine. Listen, uh, would you like to dance with me?"
"of course. lets get back to the party."
"We can dance right here, if you want."
"there's no music." he still proceeded to hold his hand out for me.
We started dancing and i fell in love with him all over again. and i knew he felt the same way with me. i could just tell with the look in his eyes.
"hermoine, i've been missing you a lot lately. well actually i've missed you since the day you left me at the lake. i couldn't say i love you back then because i didn't know what love felt like. Without you, my-my heart hurts." the tears started to show and i knew that the hurt showed in my eyes.
"The thing is, I do love you, and I always have, ever since I first met you in our first year. I love you hermoine. and i'm sorry that it took me 6 years to tell you."
"draco, I love you too." We sealed it with a kiss and we've been together ever since.

Draco and I have been together for 10 years and married for 8. I've never felt happier and I still love him with all of my heart. I've always loved him, but it's just been an undercover love waiting to come out. And I'm sure glad that it did.
