Send one of us fan fiction moderators a PM asking to have your story reactivated, and in your message, please include a link to your story as well as the section where it belongs.

When you're submitting a song fic, it's important that you give credit to the musical artist as well as to J.K. Rowling if you're using any of the Harry Potter characters.

Also, you want to submit the song fic to the correct section it belongs in (such as Romance). Last, but not least, don't forget to place the correct rating in your story title.

Please be sure to read back a bit. Your question was answered in the previous post. We no longer have a song fic forum. You can submit your fic to the appropriate forum based on the content (romance, character, adventure, etc).

If your FF is not updated in a month it will be moved to the Inactive Fan Fictions section. FFs in the Inactive Fan Fictions Section will be deleted (if not reactivated and updated) within 3 months of the last update.

When you're ready to have your story reactivated, send a FF moderator a PM asking for your story to be reactivated. Make sure you include a link to your story and tell the moderator which section it belongs in.

Click "Add Subscription" and you're finished

You first have to upload it onto Photobucket, Tinypic or the like and then you copy the URL of the banner and put it like [IMG]*paste the URL here*[/IMG].

To upload a graphic on SS, it must be hosted on an image-hosting website. There are loads on the internet [just google the term ], but my personal recommendation is Photobucket. Once you have an account there, right-click on the banner, save it to your computer, and upload it to Photobucket - or whichever image-hosting site you are using. The website will generate a URL code which, when copied-and-pasted on SS, will show the image.

You would need to select 'Romance' as the genre (when you're posting, there's a drop down box to the left of the title - select Romance). The rating must be included in your title, for example 'Percy and Penelope - Sa13+'.

It can take up to 72 hours for a story to be approved. If your story isn't approved, a FF moderator will send you a PM explaining why it wasn't approved and what you need to do.

Hi. I am Harita and i had a question. I am actually ready to post a new fiction but i am slightly not sure where should it lie, in Sa13+ or Sa16+. My fiction deals with the last three parts of the series and as the year progresses there might some dark stuff in there. i remember one of the moderators telling me to post my Life Post fiction in Sa16+(one of my previous fiction) for the same reason to be on the safe side. But this fiction of mine right now is not really that dark but already deals with death of Cedric. So i am doubtful about it.
And is there a provision that if in case i post my fiction in Sa13+ can it be shifted to Sa16+ to the later date if i request as the content gets darker?

Judging by the descriptions you've given, you should address your story as being Sa16+. As the other mod told you, it's better to be safe and go ahead and list it as such, and that way you have a little leeway as far as your "dark stuff" goes. If you decide later on that this isn't the rating you'd like your story to have, you can always PM the Fan Fic Mod running the section your story is in, and the mod can help you revisit the rating.

A drabble is is an extremely short work of fiction of EXACTLY one hundred words in length. No more. No less. Keeping things at exactly 100 words can be difficult, but that is what makes writing them so much fun

I can see that you have already found the SS100 Challenge forum and have put in a claim request, so all you need to do is wait for the moderator which would be me of that area to approve your request and then you can make a new thread

We haven't thought of doing that before, but I suppose it is something we can look into; perhaps start up next year. There are a lot of aspiring writers on SS, yet not so many script writers, and since we don't have a section for it as of yet, an event held for it could be rather strange.

With NaNoWriMo, it is a big part for some of the aspiring writers here on SS, though we don't really want to make it where our FF section is all about NaNo. When the main month, November, comes around, there is a section that is created for the writers who participate to show off some of there work, update their word counts, and hopefully get out of those writers blocks with the help of other members, but November really is our big month for it. Adding too much can become overwhelming, not to mention take away the fun of RPing when you're trying to write a novel three months out of the year.

All I can say is be patient. There is a lot going on in the fan-fiction section as well as behind the scenes, and sometimes it takes awhile to get to the newer stories that need approving. Plus timezones and real life can make it difficult to do so, but if you end up waiting a week and it still hasn't been approved, or if you have any concerns, go ahead and PM the mod for the section you posted your story in.

Certainly not a silly question. If it was sent to the inactive fanfiction thread, I am sorry to say that your story has probably been deleted if it were from that long ago. A few of us checked to see if it was still up and alive somewhere in the threads, but we couldn't find anything unfortunately. My best guess is that it was deleted, and there's no way to retrieve once it is.

Hello! A mini-challenge is basically just an extra prompt for you to use with your regular drabble prompts, so you can post it in your own drabble thread. You can also list it as a mini-challenge, just so everyone knows when they read it. To have your drabble listed (in one of those pretty 'completed' sections), post in either of the Claims Threads [SS50 Claims Thread, SS100 Claims Thread] corresponding to what drabbles you are writing. Though make sure to follow the instructions in this post on how to submit a completed mini-challenge in the thread.

Questions are encouraged. =) If you don't want to create a new thread, which is totally understandable, there will be another thread up soon specifically for situations like this. My advice would be to just hang tight for the moment, and it'll be up before you know it.
