Large quantities of food are spread before you. Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the Hogwarts' house elves are the best in the world. The food is superb and the company is as well.

Walking in for breakfast, Liz sees the room nearly completely empty. "Well, I'm hungry anyway," she says as she sits down, reaches the pitcher and pours a nice cold fresh glass of milk. And loads her plate with some bacon, eggs, and a bagel with lox.

Stomach rumbling, Ebony walks quickly to the table, settling herself down, pouring some pumpkin juice and pulling some potato, vegetables and pork chops onto her plate, and eating hungrily.

Edie sat down next to Ebony and served herself some mashed potato, raw green beans, pasta and pumpkin juice.

"Someone's hungry!" Edie exclaimed looking at Ebony eating quickly

Lisa walks to the Ravenclaw table and sees there are only a few people there. She sits down and fills her plate with mashed potatoes, baby carrots, peas and fried chicken.She really needed to go and say thanks to the elves for the food; it was truly delicious.

Edie saw a first year sit down.

"Hi there. I'm Edie. What's your name?" she said.

Ebony tried to talk, but her mouth was full. Realising that she would spray people with food, she nodded instead.

"Charms is starting soon. I'm so excited about that," Edie said to Ebony as she took a sip of juice.

Ebony swallowed, quickly, remembering her manners. "It does? Excellent! What time is the first class?"

"It is up on the notice board," Edie said.

"It is? I was only thinking of my stomach, last time I passed it, so I didn't check." Ebony giggled, taking a sip of pumpkin juice. "I'll check it when we head back to the common room. Thanks, Edie." Ebony smiled.

"Oh, no problem," Edie said with a smile directed at Ebony.

Looking up from her breakfast, Liz sees a few girls join her at the table.

Emily found an open spot on the Ravenclaw table and sat down hoping it wasn't being saved for someone else. She turned to the girls sitting nearby and said, "Hi, I'm Emily."

"Me?, I'm Lisa", she told Edie through a mouthful of potatoes."Your name's Edie right; hi"she said.

Seeing a new Ravenclaw, she hasn't met yet. Liz greets her with a bright smile. "Hello, I'm Liz. Lovely to meet you!"

Edie looked at the first year.

"It's is nice to meet you, Emily. My name's Edie," Edie said with a smile.

"Yes, my name's Edie. Very nice to meet you Lisa," she said, smiling.

Edie looked at both Lisa and Emily.

"Do you like Hogwarts so far?" she asked them both.

Patty came in and took seat that she saw. Not wanting to bother anyone else, she grabbed a few things, dropping them to her plate and started to eat quickly. She had some serious reading to do and didn't want to dawdle too at meals. She smiled at everyone nevertheless.

Rachel practically ran towards the benches and almost collided with the edge of the table. Phew, that was close! She thought as she took a seat and started piling everything in sight on her plate (except for the mushrooms, Bleh!). Tucking into her food quickly, she contemplated on how lucky she was that she hadn't just pierced her stomach with the corner of the Ravenclaw table.

Livvy walked into the Great Hall and walked towards the table and sat down to an eating Rachel. "Hey," was all Livvy said as she began to put everything onto her plate. Soon, Livvy was practically devouring everything.

Rachel swallowed a large piece of meat and took a sip of pumpkin juice before answering. "Hey Liv, how's it going?" She raised her eyebrows at the amount of food Livvy was eating and grinned. "I see that I'm not the only one who's famished!" she chuckled. Without waiting for a reply, she cut herself a huge piece of meat and chewed on it hungrily.

Livvy nodded her head as she stuffed a piece of bread into her mouth. She swallowed it quickly. "Good. Everything's good. You?" she said, drinking down water and stashed a few french fries into her mouth.

"I'll be fine after I fill up this horrendously empty stomach," Rachel said and patted her flat stomach. She stole a few french fries from Livvy and quickly stuffed them into her mouth before she could protest.
"How is the Arithmancy going?" she asked, diverting Livvy's attention from her plate and tried to steal a few more fries.
