Where in the World is Igor Karkaroff?

Welcome to one of the most exciting and unique events ever to appear in any fan club! Not only will you be participating in the roleplay itself as one of the assigned characters (and a Death Eater at that!), but there is more to this mission than meets the eye! Do you remember the TV show 'Where in the World is Carmen San Diego'? This roleplay is going to feature many elements of that show, as you are going to be given clues to Igor Karkaroff's location throughout the roleplay and will have to try and figure out where he may be hiding next. You and other Death Eaters will then go on a mission to that location to track down the traitor Karkaroff but be warned! Igor may not be there any longer by the time you get there!

This roleplay is going to last two months, taking up the entire months of May and June. We hope you will be willing to commit to keeping your character active throughout that time period to help make this the most awesome and fun event that's ever been run.

Lord Voldemort, the greatest Dark Lord who had ever lived, reached his wand to his dark mark and lightly touched it with the tip, calling all his faithful Death Eaters to his presence at the Graveyard in Little Hangleton. He had important business to discuss with them and needed to summon them all together as soon as possible to take care of some very important business.

ooc: If you are playing a character who is listed as being absent for the first part of the RP, please do not post yet - you're in Azkaban!

Goyle (Sr) felt his dark mark burn and knew hewas being called by the dark lord. He appariated to the graveyard and waited for voldermort to tell him why he had called them all to the Graveyard.

Macnair had felt the heat searing his dark mark and had apparated minutes later to the graveyard. He looked around, noting that there were not many others here yet. Nodding slightly to Fenrir and Goyle, he walked closer to where The Dark Lord was standing and leaned against an ornate headstone, knowing that he would address them once more showed up.

The Dark Lord nodded to the three who had shown up already, he appreciated the fact that they had answered his call quickly. Promptness and following his orders without question meant everything to him. "Vincent, Fenrir, Walden, I thank all of you for coming so fast." He looked around, wondering what was keeping the others, but willing to wait a while longer for them since it was essential that everyone be there to hear what he had to say and he didn't feel like repeating it twice if he could help it. "We shall begin our meeting once the others arrive," he said solemnly. He especially wanted Severus and Lucius there for this particular meeting.

Severus appeared slowly at the graveyard, knowing what his information was and his task. He had cleared his mind way before he even had come here. Albus had told him what to say, he had to do the rest for her. He sighed as he pushed the bushes away and clambered through the trees. The Graveyard that stood in front of him was old and battered, and wasn't taken care of well. His manners making him a prudent but patient man once again. He walked into the opening and saw the ghost of a snake, standing tall, the red eyes gleaming at his own entry. His greed and the fact he could never love, was the most two biggest mistakes that of what The Dark Lord was.

The Dark Lord folded his hands in satisfaction. His reptilian eyes darted towards the sound he heard. "Ah, I believe Severus is approaching," he intoned. "We'll be starting the meeting very soon. We're still waiting on a few more guests, of course."

As soon as Lucius had felt his dark mark burn, he was out of sight. Whatever he was doing could never compare to the importance of the calling from the Dark Lord.

Seconds later, he arrived at the Graveyard and feared a little from the possibility that the Dark Lord would yell at him because he was a little late.

As he saw the many 'friends' of his, he quickly turned to the Dark Lord. "My Lord, I apologize for my late appearance, it will not happen again." he said in a promising tone. He bowed down and looked back at the Dark Lord trying not to meet his gaze.

Nott felt the burning sensation on his arm, which meant one thing, his master was calling for him. He quickly apparated to his master, not wanting to anger him by being late. Once he was in the same room, he bowed before the Dark Lord. "My Lord, I came as quickly as I could, I hope I'm not late?" He said to his master.

The Dark Lord looked around the room. Nott, Pettigrew and Lucius were now there, as well as Severus, Fenrir, Walden and Vincent, who had arrived earlier. Seeing that most of the Death Eaters who were not confined to Azkaban were now there, he spoke. "I believe we will get started with the meeting. I'm sure you are all wondering the reason why I have called you here to meet with me tonight. I have called you here because it has recently come to my attention that there are traitors in our midst, traitors who pretend to be our friends." The Dark Lord scowled, lowering his voice and saying the last part menacingly. "I have been informed that Igor Karkaroff is one of the biggest traitors, that he has been selling us out to the Ministry and has completely abandoned the true cause, the way of the Death Eaters. We must seek him out and destroy him!"

The Dark Lord looked about the room again. "Is there any of you who have information as to where we can find this traitor?"

Lucius decided to find a place to stand by his fellow Death Eaters as he was indirectly dismissed. "My Lord, I have reason to believe that Karkaroff was last seen at Durmstrang." he took a moment before continuing on. "If we go there, we can trace his steps to his whereabouts..."

"My Lord I am sure he is the headmaster at Durmstrang" replied Goyle (sr)

Walden turned to those who were speaking. He had no information to give, but he was certainly paying attention. His hand had moved to his wand when The Dark Lord had said there were traitors in their midst, but had since relaxed as he listened to the others. He moved closer to where they were standing, not wanting to miss any information that they were giving.

The Dark Lord paused and listened to what Lucius and Goyle had just said about the possibility of Karkaroff being at Durmstrang. "Yes, it is possible that he may still be hiding at Durmstrang," he said. "The man never had much good sense to begin with. But we certainly don't want to be hasty, our forces should be very carefully conserved. Before I send some of you to go there to take care of him", he laughed menacingly, "does anyone else have any other ideas as to where he might be hiding?"

The Dark Lord was just listening to what the Death Eaters had to say at this point, not ready to dispatch anyone out to kill Karkaroff yet.

"Hmmm, yes, Albania sounds like it could be a very good hiding place for a weasel like Karkaroff," Voldemort said thoughtfully. "Thank you, Fenrir, for that thought." He leered evilly at the werewolf, an expression that would probably have been a smile in anyone else. "So we now have two possible locations to consider where we might find our friend, Durmstrang and Albania. I'm wondering which one of these locations we should focus on, unless anyone has any other possibillities where he might be hiding?" His hooded eyes roamed around the room.

Lucius paid full attention to the Dark Lord then turned his head to Fenrir. "My Lord, I agree with Fenrir. If not Albania, then somewhere further east. May I suggest Transylvania perhaps, my Lord?" He knew that the landscape was very easy to hide in.
