I'm pretty sure that if I buy one more album, then I'll need to be admitted to music rehab. There isn't a moment that I'm not wired for sound on my Ipod. I think I'll be off to the land of no sound soon actually, as I am waiting for a certain CD to come out, so I'll be off to rehab Or do charity albums count? Because Band From TV are a charity band *huggles Hugh Laurie*. Gah...I also need to buy Joni Mitchell and Kim Rickey albums... *hops off to have a look on Amazon*. I swear...I have a problem lol. | |

Amen to that Sissa! I couldn't even name you five modern day artists, unless they were swingin' long before my time too. To me, music these days is too commercial. You have all these reality "talent" shows telling you what music is supposed to be, pitting rubbish artists against each other in the hopes that they'll make a quick fin for the record companies before they get tossed on the rubbish heap. They've forgotten what real music is. It all comes to easy. Unlike the real artists having to slave and survive on a pittance in order to create their music and make the masses aware of them, they get their career and cash handed to them on a silver platter. To me, they're nothing but frauds.

True, our artists today are based on shows like "American Idol" and that sort of thing, so sad. It is the true originals who were the pioneers in rock and roll, the ones who hold up over time. Artists like Led Zeppelin, kings of all time in my book. Now, I hear they may be touring again all over the world, I think that's awesome! Count me in! | |
