Our very own Activities Officer, Linda Black, has been promoted to Co-President of The Graveyard! Everyone take a moment to congratulate your new co-president! Considering Linda was an officer before, that means--

WANTED: NEW CO-PRESIDENT

As most of you know, our beloved dark leader, SlytherinSissa, will soon be retiring from her position as Co-Crypt Keeper here at the Graveyard. Despite our sadness to see her go, we are hopeful that there are other loyal Death Eaters among us to fill this prestigious position. In other words...

We are currently accepting applications for the soon-to-be-open co-president position of this fan club!

If you feel you have what it takes to keep the Graveyard one of the best FCs on SS, then your lovely FC sponsors (myself and Stacey [aka LadyNerd]) request that you apply by answering the following questions:

1. When were the Death Eaters formed and what was their original name?
2. Which Death Eater hijacked a chunk of Mad Eye Moody's nose and was also one of Severus Snape's 'gang of Slytherins'?
3. Describe Lord Voldemort's wand (i.e. tree, length, and core).
4. Identify which items contained a piece of the Dark Lord's soul.
5. Within the Fan Club Rules for President, choose one rule under Rules for President and explain how you would make sure this rule is kept in mind.
6. If chosen for Co-President of The Graveyard, what would you plan to do with the position? Name a special event or anything else that would draw attention to gather new members.
7. What positions, if any, do you hold in other FCs or on the rest of the SS site (i.e. Language mod)?
8. How much time could you devote as a Co-President of The Graveyard?

New Officers Named!

That's right - it is the moment you've all been waiting for... the naming of the Graveyard's new Co-President! But before I announce the name, I would like to thank and congratulate all who applied! The applications were great and we had a number of excellent choices! Now, can I get a drumroll please...

The new Graveyard Co-Crypt Keeper is... Bombalurina!!!!

Congratulations to Bee on this achievement! Bee has been involved with this FC from its mini-beginnings and has cherished and loved it for a long time! She has done an amazing job as Graphics Officer and we're sure she's going to do an amazing job as Co-President too!

But wait, THERE'S MORE!!!!!! We had another excellent applicant who we think would do well in an ALL-NEW position for this FC: Vice President. And we've decided to give this position to:

RiddleMeThis!!

We think Nikki has been an amazing new addition to the officers of this FC and we hope that she'll learn alot more by working with the two co-presidents. If for any reason, either of the presidents need to step down, Nikki would be the immediate replacement. In the meantime, Nikki will be dabbling in all areas of the FC and working with the co-presidents to keep the FC heading in the right direction! Congrats Nikki!

And lastly, as exciting as it is to announce these new officers, we must also give thanks to the officer who has been putting in enormous amounts of work with this FC for quite some time - SlytherinSissa. Stop by her profile and write up a User Note telling her how thankful we are for her hard work!

As I have been recently given the promotion of Co-President oif this fan club, I shall be vacating my role as Graphics Officer, although I shall be a sort of consultant for the Graphic makers. Get Ready for Some Fun!
February is an exciting time in the Graveyard! Opening today we have three new and exciting features for you to check out!

First - a brand new Valentine's Day contest for the month of February! Test your dark Valentine-writing skills by submitting a Death Eater-style Valentine! Oh, and did we mention there would be a prize??

Second - a new way to acknowledge and reward the most loyal of Death Eaters - Death Eater of the Month! Each month features special criteria so be sure to read up and prove your loyalty to the Dark Lord so that you may be rewarded above all others!

Third - a new permanent feature of the Graveyard - a Revolving Games Thread! This thread will feature exciting and fun games changing every round! So get playing! And while you're there, why not help name this brand new thread? Send all your name suggestions to Linda Black and yours just might be chosen to title our amazing new activity!

Promotions Officer Update

Now that we have had the first application for Promotions Officer, a deadline has been placed for submissions. The application process will end Saturday and with luck we should be able to announce the new officer the following Monday.

EGG HUNT CONTEST WINNER

We want to thank all of you who took the time to participate in the contest and hope you had a lot of fun! We had two people who put in much work and found all the eggs, so their names were then entered into a blind drawing and Mathi came out the winner. Jess was the other person who found all twelve eggs, and she is also receiving a prize for her achievement.

NEW GRAPHICS OFFICER ANNOUNCED!

We have some exciting news for all of you - we have a new Graphics Officer! She is none other than the awesome Khat (also known as *JoshMoonson*). Khat is a very accomplished graphics maker and I know you are all going to be thrilled when you see her work!

Many thanks to Bee, as well, for having been our Graphics Officer before but cannot be any longer because she is our other Co-President. You all know that Bee's skills are legendary as well, and we thank her for all the awesome graphics she has made for us. This club has been very fortunate in having such talented people!

We have so many exciting things happening this month, and we just want to share with you what's going on!

Next, I want to let you all know about a VERY exciting event we are hosting between the DAFC and ourselves. This is the fan club invasion, where we are going to be actually invading their thread. One member of the club will post a spell, but to make it stick another member of the same club has to back the spell up then your side gains a point (somewhat like how Dodgeball worked in the Who is Your Idol competition). We will start in their club, then they will be coming to our side, so get ready! To participate you have to do two things, be a member of the DAFC (sign up now!) and pledge your oath in our Death Eater sign up thread. Sign up Have fun, and let's win!

Hi guys. This has been a long time coming, and I have been feeling guilty for quite a while about my lack of participation with my role. I've had severe health issues, as well as taking up a new course and other schedule filling things. I'd rather not be one of those presidents that only appears on special occasions. You all deserve more than that. So I have regretfully decided to relinquish my post as Co-President. I shall still frequent the Graveyard when I am able, so you all needn't worry about losing a member.

I apologise to you all, although I know Linda (Slytherin Fox) shall continue to do an outstanding job as President. I wish her and you all good luck and send good karma to you all

With Bee's announcement, you will be seeing several changes in Officers around the FC. Because Bee is so talented in the Graphics Department, we're not letting her escape us so easily! She will be joining Khat as a Graphics Officer for the Graveyard! So though we may be sad to see her leaving her post as Co-President, we're very happy to still have her on the team!

All other Officers will be remaining in their position for the time-being, but there will likely be changes in the future, so keep your eyes open for Officer positions to open.
