I loved it even though I tought that it started out a little choppy....But they had to since the book was so long.....Overall all though I thought it was the BEST one yet.....The graveyard scene and Voldemort was the best....Ralph played him perfectly....and by far the funniest part was the Malfoy/ white ferrett scene...Very well done and hilarious

This movie was awesome. I loved every moment of it. I so wish it was longer though. They did change a few things, but overall great. The beginning is just as creepy as I thought it would be. I love how Ron says, "Bloody ****." So funny for his first line in the film.
Going to the QWC and the QWC itself
Then going to Quidditch World Cup was cool. I loved how Cedric Diggory jumped from the tree and met the Weasleys and Ginny and Hermione were smirking. Then seeing the rush of the World Cup crowd and the teams coming in.
The Great Hall scene
The entrance of Beauxbaton and Durmstrung was fantastic. The Beauxbaton girls were pretty and Ron was so funny looking at their behinds lol. The Durmstrung boys were just amazing. They were real intimidating, but cool entrance. Then when they called who was the four champions was really interesting. Krum was doing the oh yeah thing, Fleur was all why thank you, Cedric was all cute and modest, and Harry well just wasn't expecting that. But great performances by the cast on that one.
Yule Ball
The Yule Ball was really lovely. The trio dressed up. I love Ron's dress robes no matter if they smell like like his aunt, lol. The tension between R/Hr is as ever expected. It should of been a bit more extended, but it was really shown well on how jealous Ron was and how hurt Hermione was about Ron not asking her first to the Yule Ball. Neville dancing was pretty funny, but really cute. The champions during that whole scene and their dates looked fabulous especially Cedric and Cho. Very lovely couple.
The three tasks
The three tasks were done very well. I have to say my favorite was the second task underwater because of how captivating it was. Mike Newall definitely impressed me by how close it was to the imagination. The dragon was cool and the last task of the maze was so chilling. It did give you a sense of fright. Honestly it was nicely done.
The ending
Goblet of Fire ended so sadly, but in a sweet sorrow kind of feeling. Fleur and Krum left. The trio promising to keep in touch was so nice and it made me miss Cedric Diggory. His character's goodbye was so touching. It was a real tear jerker. I'm just moved by the ending. In fact moved by the entire movie.
In conclusion
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is a winner in my book. I can't wait to have the dvd now.

I was a little irked by the beginning. I thought.. wow this movie is gonna suck. But it didn't! I loved it!

Let's all give Robert Pattinson and Dan a pat on the back for being the hottest guys EVER!!! The bath scene was personally my favorite part! (JK!)

The Yule Ball was so beautiful! Cho looked the prettiest, then Hermione, then Fleur. OMG if I were Hermione I would have kicked Ron where it hurts for ruining the evening! But it was funny!

Once Harry's parents and everybody came out of the wand I just lost it. I was sobbing for the rest of the movie!

8/10 is what I would give the movie. But I will most definitely be buying it when it comes out on DVD!

The movie was so Awesome! I give it a 11 out of 10!

I loved how close they stayed with the book, for the most part!
QWC
I was a bit disappointed with how much they sped through it! I also missed the Veelas and the Leprechauns. I also wished we could have seen some of the match! Other than that, they did a wonderful job with the stadium, and the campground!

Great Hall
Again, another great job! I loved how the students from the other schools entered. Both schools had wonderful entrances! I loved how Krum just stalked in behind everone, you could see he was the favorite. Although, Madame Maxine(sp?) was a little scary in my opinion! The Goblet of fire was really awesome and I loved its case!

Tasks
I loved all of the tasks. The Dragon was especially cool. I can't wait to see it in IMAX! I liked how they did the maze. I missed the creatures, but having a possesed maze was just as fun. The lake was wonderfully done. I applaude them!

Yule Ball
They did the ball wonderfully! I loved how it was decorated in a winter theme! I felt bad for Ron and Harry's dates though! I was also really happy for Neville! He was the last one back from the dance!

Graveyard
Wow, I was speechless throughout this whole scene! They illustrated Voldemort perfectly! I almost cried when they killed Cedric though! He had been such a great help through the book and the movie!

Well that's all I have to say! Now, I want to go see it again!

Gryffindor Woohoo

I loved the movie! i give it an A! here is what i like about those crucial scenes

QWC- sucky except for the death eater attack

Arrival of other schools- excellent, Durmstrang guys love to show off, Beauxbatons girls entrance was pretty

1st task- most excellent. loved it loads

2nd task- so-so, it was ok

Yule Ball- one of the BEST parts of the film; the school was rocking on the dance floor to the weird sisters. Hermione's entrance was spectacular. I wish I was Krum at the yule ball

3rd task- it was scary as heck; Possessed Krum was SCARY!

Graveyard Scene- was fabulous! Voldemort was less scary then i expected. but it was a great scene none the less

Overall, I loved this movie so much! Can't wait to get it on DVD

All right. I thought the movie was a blast! Brilliant, really. I still like PoA the best (slightly bias, it is my favourite book!), but I still can't wait to see it again!
I thought the first task was the best, though the dragon could have been better. The second task was a lot of fun, too, although I would have preferred it to have been a bit longer. And the Maze was way, way too short! Not even a sphinx! But what they did with it was good. The graveyard scene was wickedly creepy! And so sad. The Yule Ball was just too funny! The dancing and the not dancing! Although I hated Hermione's dress (she still looked brilliant, though)! Over all, great movie!

I loved it, but yes they did cut such a lot out. It must have been a heaache to include so much from such a big book and include all those new characters, so it's not surprising. The Yule ball scene was a bit short and it's a shame they didn't include the blast ended screwts and the house elves - to me the house elves are very important.

I totally OBSESSIVELY love it!!

saw it today and cant get it out of my head... i wanna see it agen!!

i think the whole movie was near perfect... the only thing that bothered me in any way was how teh beginning part of the movie seemed slightly fast paced and rushed...
also i was slightly anooyed by how they potrayed dumbledores charcter.. losing his cool all the time.. that didnt make me happy.. he is always supposed to show calmness and it just didnt do it for me in the movie...

other than those two the movie was totally spectacular!!!.. way way way betta that the rest.. i loved the music.. not always the same tune.. like in PS.. (i watched it the othere day and realises how all the music is basically the same)... the special effects were great... all the major things were in ther.. some REALLY funny littl ebits includd.. had a big laugh a few tiems.. and i felt that you could feel alot more emotion in this movie than the other ones.... i give it a A+!!!

Woulda been A++ if not for those few things lol..

I watched it tonight! Definatly the best yet! Loved it, loved it, loved it!

QWC - i wanted to see them playing a bit. Thought it was a bit rushed when they skipped from introducing the players to the Death Eaters scene.

Arrival of foreign wizard schools - I liked this bit, especially the special effects. Very good.

DADA class - This i found a bit creepy, especially when Moody did the killing curse on that spider infront of Hermione.

Weasley twins - They were so funny! Really livened up the movie!

Rita Skeeter - didn't like her. Glad there wasn't much of her in the movie.

Sirius in the fire - This didn't come out the way i had imaginaed it. Rather just a floating head in the flames not actually in the logs, if you know what i mean?

Potter Sticks badges - Very cool!

Draco the Ferret - I thought this was hillarious! Loved it!

1st task - I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Some great near missed by Harry from the dragon! Wonderful special effects too!

Unexpected Task - I laughed so hard when i saw Ron's dress robes! OMG they looked rediculious! And Snape banginf his and Harry's heads was a laugh too!

The Yule ball - I expected more from this. Though thought Emma acted well when she was head over heels for Krum! And Ron's jealous, OMG! It pretty much spells out that he likes Hermione! If only he asked her to the Ball sooner!

Bath Scene - Wish i had a bath like that! I loved the bit where Moaning Mertle kept coming onto Harry literally LOL What a crack up!

2nd Task - Thought it would have been better. Bit rushed but you can't expect more i spose...

Pensieve - exactly how i pictured it. Glad they didn't cut it from the movie

3rd Task was done really well! I liked just before they touched the cup.

Graveyark Scene - I liked this the most I think. Dark, creepy, just like the book.

Voldemort's transformation - Was creepy i thought but very well done indeed!

Priori Incantatem - Thought this was too rushed, i didn't know what was happening for a second...

Harry bring Cedric back - I nearly cried when Harry was crying. Such an emotional scene.

Veritaserum Scene - Too short in my opinion. It didn't explain anything at all. I wish they didn't cut out characters.

No Parting of the Ways - I really wish this was shown. It is important for the next movie. But i am thinking (HOPING) that maybe they will put it in the first scene in the next movie just to clear up that the Ministry does not believe Voldemort is back, if you know what i mean??

In all, i loved it, though thought most of it was a tad rushed, but being already 2.5 hours long, how could it not be? I think i'll be going to see it again shortly!!!

I voted acceptable. This was my LEAST favorite movie to date in the series. I saw the movie BEFORE I read the book and I could tell that this movie was missing WAY too much.

I've watched the movie several times on DVD after I read the book and it is just lacking. It also strays the most from the books to date as well.

Check out : Differences between book and film versions of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This shows all the differences between the book and the movie.

hey! i thought the administrators deleted this thread already? wow im so touched they brought this thread back... and wow so many are still responding... thanks guys!

yah they left so much from the book, but guys how are you gonna squeeze a 800+ page book into 2 and a half hour movie? cmon you'll be the director, screenwriter etc.. and you'll gonna realized that you have to drop some things..even some scenes you've already filmed! that's how hard it is.... so let's bear with the film people...

anyway, thanks again to the administrators for bringing this thread back!! i luv you guys!

still this is the best Harry Potter movie fo me!!!!
