| Mistakes in GOF did you see any? Keeper of Mr Tennant's specs
I have seen GOF a couple of times and i personaly havent noticed any movie mistakes but i do know that there are some.
Have you noticed any? here are some to get you started Quote: Continuity: When Frank Bryce places the water kettle on the flame, the kettle spout faces left. Frank sees the light through the window, gets annoyed then says, "Bloody kids." quickly walks away to get his keys, and leaves. When the kettle whistles after Frank is killed, the position of the kettle differs, and the spout faces the opposite way
Quote: Visible crew/equipment: In a number of shots within various scenes, the reflections of the reflector screen and set lights are briefly visible in the lenses of characters' glasses, such as Rita Skeeter's, or in characters' eyes.
Quote:
Ginny, who is a year younger than Ron, is in Defense Against the Dark Arts with the 4th years. People in different years don't take classes with each other.
If you have anymore please add them or go to this site which so far has 53 mistakes for GOF http://www.moviemistakes.com/film3748/page1
By mistakes i mean in the film not things missing form the film that are in the book.

Is she?? I didn't see that. I only went for one time. But I think that the director should have known that Ginny is younger by one year or there are no actors to put in that scene????
I think they made The Twins Patil both at Gryffindore. I think I saw them at Gryffindore's common room.

Also, they're not identical twins in the movie; either fraternal or just sisters. So Hermione's line about Parvati Patil's twin being in Ravenclaw is irrelevant.

| Yeah, I definately remember Ginny being in the same class as the 4th years. And then there were changes, small ones, but still. Like Neville giving Harry the gillyweed (was that it?), instead of Dobby who was completely omitted. And Hermione's dress being pink instead of blue. And I think they should have mentioned that the ball was only for 4th year and up. And there's a million more pointless little things that I can't think of right now!

Yeah, I noticed all that stuff too. But I mean think about it. It's a 700+ page book, they can't get all the little nuances into a movie where they have to keep the time cut down.

well i didn't notice anything yet, i only saw the movie once..
i got this from imdb Quote:
# Continuity: During the Defense Against the Darks classroom scene, the writing on Professor Moody's chalkboard of his name and "3 Unforgivable Curses" changes continuously.
# Continuity: During the Harry's bathtub scene, after he has emerged from the water from listening to the egg and is sitting with Mrytle his hair changes repeatedly between shots, going from completely smooth to having a bit of hair sticking straight out on his right side.
# Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Harry reads Sirius' letter to him, the shot of the letter reveals that Sirius's last words in it are "By the way, the bird bites," but in the voice-over Sirius says "P.S. The bird bites."
Continuity: SPOILER: When Harry is battling Voldemort and their wands become magically connected, Harry grabs his wand with two hands. In the next, he's holding his wand with one hand again.

| Mistakes In the GoF
I know there were many mistakes.
-Beaubaton and Drumstrang didn't come the first day at school.
-Prof. Moody turned Malfoy into a ferret at the Welcoming Feast.

what about the world cup. They cut so much out, which is fine because it would have been like 4 days long. BUT what happened to the house elf that took harrys wand?

They cut winky out of the movie completly. Probably because she wasn't that important and, like Aule said, the movie would be too long otherwise.

That can be answered by quoting gobletoffire_fan and aule: Quote:

and Quote:

To reiterate: extra large book + film makers = having to remove a lot of the plot (though staying true to the essence) to create a movie that will not put your bum to sleep because it is more than 3 hours long...also, remember that these movies are adapted from the books...a book and a movie are two totally different mediums (as I think Jo has reminded us numerous times...), so take the movies as they are, don't spend too much time trying to figure it out...just enjoy it...

the only MISTAKE i can think off is when ron had just asked out fleur and they are in the common room and the two Patil sisters walk past and say "Hi Harry!". I thought the Patils were in two different houses, one in ravenclaw and the other in Gyriffindor i think.

| I agree. There was alot cut. out but not enough time to get to everything.. i believe there were important things left out, but they had no choice but to leave them out. Still over all lets hope that the next movies has more in it. because alot more happens in the last three books 5, 6, and 7. I haven't read the seventh but still. Common sence there will be alot going on.. ofcourse. Harry must destroy Vold'y.. we know this. And as potterfan15 says. just enjoy it! Besides you'll catch on through out it, and if you read the books you know what goes on between the scenes they don't show... So don't act like your missing anything, because it wasn't put into pictures for you. You know whats missing that the nonreaders don't.. look at it that way.. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ CHEERS!

Ya, that actually was a mistake! I didn't get that...have they always both been in Gryffindor?
