It looks like the best Potter soundtrack out of all of them so far. What's your favourite song out of the ones you can listen to? I like Magic Works. ^^ |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Jenna Reetz | I like it but yet I don't for one thing. THe Prologue. It's like the Harry Potter theme song and from what I heard so far the only part it kind of comes up is in "The Story Continues" and "Foreign Visitors" but it just isn't the same I miss John Williams already.. |

| I liked John Williams too. The prologue was great. But these seem good too, and the Weird Sisters songs are awesome, so we'll just have to wait and see, and hope that this Patrick Doyle will live up to our expectations! |

| I didn't like the soundtrack when I first heard it, but then I listened to it again and I rather like it. Doyle maintains the overall tone set by Williams - celeste, woodwinds, and strings for the happy and funhearted moments, choir for the wonderous moments, brass and timpani for the action sequences, etc.. I have to say "Hedwig's Theme" is used subtly and effectively throughout the score, although the exclusion of the Hogwarts theme and "The Window to the Past" theme really bugs me. It also bothers me that Doyle doesn't continue the dark, Shakespearean tone Williams established in PoA, but goes back to the light tone established in the first two films. And what really annoys me is the three songs by Jarvis Cocker - I tried to like them, but I can't bring myself to do so. (That's the only detractor to the album.)
Still, I really like it. I really like the new themes for Harry and Voldemort (listen to "The Dark Mark" and then listen to "Voldemort"), and "Death of Cedric" is really beautiful. And "Golden Egg" and "The Black Lake" turn out to be just as exciting as Williams's work on the first three films, only not as densely orchestrated and not so much brass and percussion. And the only quibble to a really solid score is that there's no real hummable main theme for the fourth movie. I think Doyle's work pays respect and even a tribute of sorts to John Williams. |

| i thought that the soundtrack was horrible. nobody can ever measure up to john williams score for harry potter. i honeslty didn't even hear the music throughout the movie, the only memorable ones were the beginning(williams theme!) and the band playing as they walked into the maze. the music didn't capture the feel of harry potter at all. overall im just confused about the movie. i think i just need to see it again. |

| Yeah the soundtrack sounds cool even though it's not composed by John Williams, Do the Hippogriff made me laugh the first time I heard it, but now I can just rock out to it. Patrick Doyle did a good job for this movie's soundtrack. Each song goes well for the movie's scenes. |
