Hogwarts RPG Name: Marcella Riddle Graduated | The rating doesn't define the film; the film defines the rating.
Given the opening and closing death scenes, I'd say 12A - I suppose the American equivalent is PG-13.
I say that because the film will open straight away (hopefully) with the murder of Frank Bryce at the Riddle House. It's quite a scary beginning for what many people refer to as 'kids' films. |

| PG-13 for the minor violence. Between the deaths and the graveyard scene, I can't imagine America - as uptight as we tend to be - would allow anything lower. I mean, PoA already had some discussion on making it PG-13, and I doubt that'll be any better for GoF. Which is fine for me. Please don't tone it down! |

| If it follows closely to the book, then it will most likely be PG13 in the US. Or atleast I hope it is, because that would probably be a good sign that the movie will be more accurate. But who knows how they will work everything out because of the fact that a lot of children will be wanting to see it-- although I don't see how a PG13 rating would really stop them. |

| Hello. The graveyard scene. Harry gets his arm slit open and a bone is removed. I was already thinking to myself about it being PG-13. I think they could bring out alot more of the darkness of the series if it was PG-13. As you all know... The books aint gettin' any happier. Darkness. Death. Lord *bleep*. But HEY! That's life. |

First | They think that censoring a movie like Harry Potter:GoF will do justice to young minds who view the film.so considering their thoughtfulness I'd say PG-13 in the USA. Now Canada..I have no idea. |

The movie wouldn't be the same without the deaths and violence, and I really don't think those are appropriate for little children!

| | | If it is PG-13 in the USA it will most likely only be PG in Canada. Canadian ratings are usually drastically different then the American ones. We don't classify as high as they do. | |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Annabelle McClorey First | I don't know exactly. I'm thinking PG-13, but I hope it stays PG just because nothing is PG anymore and this way, kids can see it. A lot of the audience are kids...little kids...and if it's PG-13, it takes that away. Yes, the parents could take them, however, a PG-13 rating would only make them second guess. I think it'll be PG-13, but I'm hoping for a PG.

nate1212 | I live in Canada too, but I am also a manager at a movie theater, and trust me when I say that the ratings are higher in the US. The Matrix was rated R in some parts of the United States while it was only 14A in Canada. House of Wax is rated R in the US but only 18A in Canada. There is no way that they will make a movie aimed at children (whether we like to admit it or not, Harry Potter is aimed at children) 14A. That will take away half of their veiwing audience. I will happily eat my words if I am wrong, but I'm confident I won't be.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Jenna Reetz | Goblet of Fire movie rating Well, the movie could be rated PG-13, but I don't know. I would want it to be rated PG just because we want more people to see the movies right?? Even though I wouldn't mind it to be PG-13. Wait. I just thought of something. IF it is rated PG-13, then it might attract a little older people, not super old or anything, but they might think, "Wow, GOF is rated PG-13, so it must be pretty good!" And I don't think that it would ever be rated G. Just a thought. |

| I think GoF will be rated PG13 like most others here bcuz of the graveyard scene, and the action violence such as Wormtail getting his arm cut off. I'm not sure they will show that..... |

| The rating will probably be PG-13 because of certain scenes, but it could get to be PG. Not sure, really. |

| I wanna it be PG-13 because the movies are growing to be serious and they have some certain scenes that parents would not like for their little kids to see. I dont really care but i wanna it to be more rebellious or something because I hope it is very focused to the book unlike POA. |
