Did anyone besides me think the rock band thing kind of screwed up the ball?

What? The band had Jonny Greenwood in Goth make-up in it!
The songs sucked though.

How can you say that, I love their songs, especially Magic Works.

But I do have to admit, they didn't work well with the ball.

I actually forgot about the whole rock band being in the movie...until today. I was watching the movie today with my friend, and when it started playing that part, I literally said, "Whoah, what the fudge is up with that?" It was a formal ball, not a teenage rock concert! All they were missing was Maggie Smith rocking out (without her hair in a bun!), Michael Gambon break dancing, and Alan Rickman doing the worm.

i really like the band. The formal bit of the ball was the dancing, and the best bit was the relaxing bit with butterbeer and rock music. It was meant to be a fun occasion, and this was a definate one in the early hours.

I thought that the Rock band was a little over the edge. It was a ball but they did say that it was first and formost a dance and all kinds of music is played at a dance.

ok the visual image of Snape doing the worm is highly amusing!

I thought it was kinda like the teenagers were taking over the ball as it winded down. But it was still weird
