| True, it was kind of nice. My father haven't bought the DVD yet, so I only watched in the cinema. Um, are you not allowed to swear? |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Serena Riddle Second | I liked it, although it seemed a bit rushed. The movie went by too quickly for me. The tasks were good, also would have liked to see more of the champions. I would rate it 8/10 |

| I was disappointed. The special effects were good and the acting is maturing. However there was soooo much left out relevant to the story and stuff that would have made great viewing. For example :-
* Harry wasn't shown at the Dursleys at all. We missed the Weasleys trying to get through the boarded up fireplace via the floo network, and the twins baiting Dudley with the ton tongue toffee, etc.
* The quidditch match with the team mascots (leprechauns and Veelas), omnioculars, and any of the actual playing
* Ministry's efforts to avoid the muggles interacting with the wizards camped out for the world cup
* The twins' subplot of starting up Weasley's Wizard Wheezes and the blackmail of Bagman.
* The house elves
* etc etc. That's just from the first few chapters alone.
I was very disappointed with the maze at the end as well. What happened to all of the booby traps (e.g. dementor/boggart) and the sphinx ? It was more than just creeping vines as shown in the movie.
All in all, it was a nice enough visual spectacle, but fell well short of the entertaining story that would have satisfied HP book fans.
Let's hope that there is a special extended DVD version with all the bits that were cut out to make up for the losses in the cinematic version.

Durro | I agree, there should have been a scene at the end where Harry gave his prize money to the twins; for the maze I was expecting to see the creatures in the maze. I expect the next movie will feature Harry giving his money to the twins in a flashback.
A fault of the movie is that it lacked the 'back story' or full explaination of the Barty Crouch Jnr. character or Ludo Bagman for example. My mum came to the movie with me and she didn't fully understand the storyline as she hasn't read the book yet. The movie assumed that the audience had already read the book; and so left out a lot of the plot. Considering how detailed GoF is, I think Nevell did the best he could. |

| i did like the movie indeed,but yes it was so much left to see and they cut a lot of scenes and i also agree with durro they didnt show the dursleys at all and considering the first three it seems like a tradition that the dursleys come out in the first scenes but anyways i did like it. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Emma-Lee Anne VanSickle Fourth Year Ministry RPG Name:
Aricca Jade "AJ" Silverstone Magical Creatures | yes they cut out so much, i forgot all about the tung taffy... but they left out Winky, the house elves, SPEW, the weasleys, harry forcing his winnings on the twins, etc... no dursleys. i think this was the worst movie out of all of them... if only they'd added more. they didn't even have when Barty Crouch (SR.)died, got turned into a bone and buried! and Fleur's accent wasn't heavy enough. my mom came with me the first time, i saw it opening night and the night after, and i had to basically explain the entire book to her so she could understand the movie. she didn't even know who Barty Crouch Sr was. they left out Fudge, too, didn't they? But they cut so much that the only way anyone could understand it is if you'd read the book!!!!!!! personally, i was disappointed, they could've done better. and Hermione was way too emotional, i mean MY GOD!!!!! i didn't even understand why she was crying at the Yule Ball, and i've read the books, and i'm a girl... i agree with ron, Hermione's gotten scarier as she's gotten older, emotion wise. I mean come on, she was crying over nothing!!!! and they did the Yule Ball kinda wrong: Hermione's hair was supposed to be down(ooooh, and they left out Hermione's teeth growing to humungo beaver teeth!!!!), and her dress was just ugh, i thought everyone had to wear dress robes? including the girls, but only the guys did. I LOVE NEVILLE'S DANCING SCENE IN THE DORMITORY AFTER HE COMES IN!!!!! I really wanted to see Hermione's teeth grow, that would've been so funny |

| I have to agree with Durro up there. They cut out so much! The fireplace scene was my favorite scene in the book....All in all, though, I thought the acting was fine and the movie was pretty good!
