| Beauxbatons and Durmstrang It seems a bit pointless of me starting a new topic but i didnt know where else to talk about this.
Did anyone else picture Durmstrang as an all-boys school and Beauxbatons as an all- girls school? I cant remember if it says so in the book, and it doesnt really matter, but I was just wondering if anyone thought about it. It appears in the trailer that Beauxbatons were all females.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Charmelia Snape aka Zaza Fourth | The Patil twins were dancing with some Beauxbatons boys in the Yule-Ball, so at least Beauxbatons had also boys ... This is just another trying-to-be-different-from-the-book-thingy, I guess ... |

| Having Durmstrang be all boys an Beauxbatons be all girls makes it seem like Hogwarts is the only co-ed magic school - which is totally weird. Probably Beauxbatons is the only magic school in France so where would the french magic boys attend if they couldn't go to Beauxbatons - ditto for Durmstrang. |

| I noticed this difference, yet I do not think J K Rowling says wether they are single -sex or co-educational schools. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Charmelia Snape aka Zaza Fourth | This was discussed in the Daily News in January, and I got a little, err, upset about the news.
I´m not sure whether I can do this, but my opinion about this matter should be found here. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Jenna Reetz | I did notice that it looked like all boys and girls schools. I like it co-ed. I wish they did it like that. O well. I guess I don't mind it that much though. Prvarti and Patil will probably just go and dance with Durmstrang students instead of Beaxbatons. |

| There's just not much to go on based on the teaser trailer and snapshots out there. But if they're single-sex schools, I'd be a little disappointed. I haven't read the books in awhile, so I don't remember if it mentioned anything about it. |

| See, that's a huge assumption to make. Harry felt stupid for not realising there would be other magic schools - geographically France is a huge place so of course it'd probably have more than one school.
This isn't a big deal, it's not like it's a major plot-hole or anything. I like the idea personally. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Isabella Thompson First | I had always imagined that Durmstrang and Beaubaxtons were a co-ed school, I dont know why but I have always thought they were.

Anita Imogen Volt Magical Transportation | In the book they are co-ed schools. I do like how in the film they have made Durmstrang an all-boys school and Beauxbatons a school for girls. It shows the toughness of Durmstrang and flair of Beauxbatons in a better light. |

| The more I think about it I think at various times I thought the schools were gender divided but at other times i pictured the co-ed like Hogwarts. I don't know what i thought now, personally I won't mind if they aren't co-ed |

The main focus is upon Fleur Delacour and Viktor Krum. The two schools are like the extras in a film. They have a small role but nothing substantial. |

| I just find it hard to accept Beauxbons as an all-girls school and likewise for Durmstrang being an all-boys school. I don't know why but I always pictured them as co-ed just like Hogwarts, but different in their own way. |

Anita Imogen Volt Magical Transportation | Reading the books, they are co-ed schools. Well, Beauxbatons is at least. I think it is the image in the book that some feel will be incorporated right into the film. |

| well i think they made it kinda fair. like say Beauxbautons brought more girls then boys to compete? or in Durmastrang more boys then girls? it would be unfair. so in the movies, Beauxbatons brings all girls and Durmastrang all boys. to make it even. that makes sense right?
