Aww...that would be so cool!  Well I think he would defo explain to Harry how much he and his mother loved and still love him. Hopefully he would try to explain a bit more information to him about his Aunt and Uncle (assuming he knows more than Harry, which I think he would).
They'd probably talk about Sirius <3 and his old school days at Hogwarts. Of course James would want to know about Harry and all that he has done. More than anything I think they would just talk, because one day is too short to catch up with someone whom you've wondered and dreamed about your entire life; and I think they wouldn't want to waste it on anything else other than conversation. | |

I agree on that with Brightest witch She has a point there I would think that Harry would have a ton of questions he would like to ask his father if James did happen to come back for a day. I imaganie this would be a shock to Harry because all his life he has known that his parents are dead. But nonetheless they would just talk about everything that has happened to Harry in the past seven years while at Hogwatrs or longer. | |

I think he would tell Harry how proud he was of him and let him know that no matter what happens, he will always love him. I also think he would try to give him as much fatherly advice as he could. Such as, how to treat a lady and the importance of doing what is right.
James probably talk about what it was like for him growing up and what he would have done differently. They would have Sirius to talk about and Lily. Most of all he would enjoy just being able to be with him. Soak in every moment they had together and remind Harry that even though he wasn’t physically with him every day, he would always be watching over him. | |

I think James would tell Harry about his adventures in his school times with Sirius and his other friends. Afterall the enjoyable moments with Harry, Probably he could teach him some of Pranks and all other cool mischieviousness. Because he could well known that that kind of stuffs will help Harry in future. He would tell about Voldemort and his followers too. |

Teach him pranks and stuff, make him better than Fred an George! OMG!
He'd tell him stories of his childhood, especially his Marauder Days, Tormenting Snape days and Dating Lily days. LOL. He'd also help him kick Moldy Voldy butt if the war was on that day. Huzzah!
Aaaand, he'd most probably ruffle his hair and tell him how much he looks like him but has his mother's eyes  Then hug him. Aww! :3

Well, first of all, if James was back for a day I'd organize a parade in his honour or something like that...  But siriusly seriously, if James was back one day to talk to Harry, he'd probably tell him as much as he can about Voldie and the DE, tell them about their weaknesses and give him some tips about what to do. I think James would give Harry some good advise and he would tell him how much he loves him. It would be a bitter sweet day because Harry would be able to see his dad, but only for one day  *Kills Voldie and exchanges his soul for James's*

I think that James would definately be there to help Harry on his quest to defeat Lord Voldie the Baldie and his bad breath! To me, James knows a lot of inside information from back in the day so of course, I believe that James would be like Sirius was and tell all secrets that he knew about Voldemort. I also believe that James would have some alone time just to get to know his son and to see just how much he has grown.
I also think that James would try to bring back Sirius as well because if James could come back for a day....wait! Where's that mirror? | |

LOL, jokes apart, I think both of them would catch up on all those years of absence. James would want to know what Harry has done over the years, and vise versa. So, basically, they'd talk, talk, and some more talk. 
Also, James would probably teach Harry all his pranks, talk about the days he spent stalking Lily [A LOT], tell him how much he and Lily loved/ love him, narrate all his pranks on Snape and the rest of Hogwarts, and talk about the awesome times he had with Sirius and Remus like anything.
Conversation is the key.

well i no ppeople arnt probably gonna read this but oh well
i think that james wouldve givin him advice like "stay close to your friends" and "never give up when its tough" all the simple things that a parent would say to a kid when they are in trouble or are going through a tought time in there life. i think he would stay with harry nad do all the fartherly things like ride there brooms or have a game of quidditch.

It would be soo cute if he did come back for a day...but i think he would help harry...not in killing voldemort exactly just help him in life guide him in a way that a parent should. Let him know that what he is doing is right, and not obbsess over how much they are alike. | |
