I think he was attracted to her since the third book. But because of his age and the fact that he is Ron Weasley he could not realize that all of his emotions was from jealously. So he got angry and yelled. Personally, I think that he was in love with her then and the fact that she went with Krum stirred something up in him that scared him. So the easiest thing for him to do was blame Krum and be angry at Hermione.

I think that Ron was already in love with Hermione, he just hadn't realised it yet. His reaction was pretty much typical for a teenage boy and I wasn't surprised. I think that he was also quite gobsmacked on how beautiful Hermione looked and he didn't really know what to do.

Ron was obviously jealous of Krum because there was always that sort of love-hate relationship between Ron and Hermione.

In my opinion, he was already in love with her. And part of that was obscured by jealousy because one of his favourite quidditch players had asked hermione out to the yule ball.

I think he was in love with her because it's clear how they react to each other to be honest :-). I think there love is great and its so unexpected in a way.
