The book said that she's always making people and the Ministry look bad. And it said that the Ministry has control over the Daily Prophet, so why don't they just fire her?
I think that's a really good question. But maybe they want to keep her so that people will read the prophet more; to see what bad things she wrote about the magical world.

BUT maybe she had family in the Ministry so that's why she got to keep her job? IDK just a thought..I know it's not mentioned anywhere just my thoughts. lol
Maybe her writtings produced alot of profit? Since people wanted to read what she wrote?
I think the previous two reasons mentioned are very likely. Or maybe she has lots of dirty information on Ministry officials that she could use against them if they fired her?

I'm not really sure, cos I would have fired her straight away! But they are possibly using her to get money, because people pay almost anything for a good story!
