I really dont think Draco is. I mean Moody hates them (the malfoys), he would have told on him if he was. Plus McGonagall says "We dont use transfiguration as a punishment" so yeah... Yeah, I agree. It was probably just transfiguration. But also remember, that wasn't Moody, that was Barty Crouch Jr. that turned him into a ferret.
I don't think he's an animungi, like, how often does Harry see a ferret squeaking around school?
But yeah, if he was and animungi, I would guess he would be a ferret. It fits him.

It would be awesome if Draco was one. He doesn't lack the brains, it's the motive. But his father might have forced him to do it. But then again there is the lack of comments about seeing a white ferret again.. He would have been a cute animagi! I like the idea though.. *lieks it a lot*

I don't think so. If he was, I'm pretty sure Rowling would have pointed it out. Also, if he was, he wouldn't of chosen a ferret!! He would of chosen something more impressive that he would show off whenever he could.

It is possible that he is an animagi he is certainly smart enough and his dad would have acces to the right books to teach him. However I think that the spell Barty jr used on Draco was a simple transfiguration spell, if Draco was an animagi how on earth would Barty jr know?

Well obviously he just used transfiguration. Professor mcgonagall even said it to moody. "We never use transfiguration as a punishment, surely dumbledore told you that?" so the answer is right there.

I'm pretty sure Jo would have mentioned if he was at some point. I simply think/know that Moody (well, Crouch Jr.) used transfiguration to turn Draco into a ferret, as punishment. And even if he was one, Moody would have found out then and told him off and let Dumbledore know and he would probably have chosen a creature much prouder and majestic than a ferret, just to show off to his friends.
