So in the last book hermione says that the one of the things that cant be congoured from no where is food.
yet in GOF when harry arrives at the burrow, mrs weasly is making dinner and it says a white sause was pouring from her wand tip. which surely counts as food???
any suggestions

I thought about this. I think that Mrs Weasley actually had the ingredients in the house, and was just using charms to make the food. So it wasn't coming from nothing, just being changed from its base form.

She had all of her ingredients in the kitchen that they were in. She probably was just transferring these ingredients through her wand.

It could have been because of the theory that has already been said, she had the ingrediants and all she was doing was using them to make the sauce. Or (and this is a theory that I have been working on for some time) is it possible to transfigure air molecules into food? That way the trio could have gooten food for the seventh book.

You could conjure food if you knew where it was. Like in the last book, hermione couldn't conjure food from the burrow because the weasleys where being watched by the death eaters.

Salt is a mineral 
I think when they meant FOOD, they meant organic things that we can live eating on. For example, we can live eating on bread, but we can't reply eating on salt, can we?  So any seasonings or ingredience that fall in the category of inorganic, then it's something that can be done with magic
