Red face I agree completely with thr first post!

I think it was sooooo rushed. Like, where did Bagman go, and the Weasley twins getting his winnings etc.

I was so annoyed, and my friend at the time was just annoyed how long it was. I couldn't believe it!

So, maybe they should bring out a 1h45mins version for the non-hp lovers, and a 4h version for us. Wot d'ya think?

That sounds good to me.

They should put the deleted or edited parts on a specail uncut DVD for the HP lovers. Instead of on the second disk.

Even though I LOVED it, it was definitely rushed. I know that movies have to fit into a certain time frame but remember those looooong, boooooorrring Kevin Costner films that are four hours long? GoF could easily have been longer than it was and still totally entertaining.

The beginning I think was rushed (up to the champion selections). The rest though, I thought was paced like I thought it would. I thought PoA was more rushed.

Yeah, I think it was definitely rushed. They should have made it into two segments, allowing an intermission, and added more of the details in the book..

Yes. Unfortunately, I think all of the movies have been a bit rushed due to the length of the books and never being able to fit enough details in to the movie, but I think POA and GOF have been particularly rushed.

A bit rushed??? I think it was totally rushed! I mean, sometimes you didn't really realise the scene change...well okay you did, but it was like: what? what happened now? I can only hope the next one won't be like that, I thought that was aweful, not the whole movie but it did take away a lot of it.

yes it was, except some unimportant things were long and drawn out, like the dragon scene.

Yes i think it was rushed. But I heard on one of my DVDs in an interview that if they did the HP books justice the movies would be about 16 hours long each.

Yes, the movie did seem rushed.

So much was jumped over that I've had someone who didn't read the book but who saw the movie ask several questions about why this or that happened.

Jo has so many sub themes and stories running under and supporting the main story that a screen writer really has to do a superb job to carry over the feel of the book's story to the wide screen within the roughly 2 hour time frame.

I don't think it was necessarily rushed. I think what happened is that they had too much movie to put into a two-and-a-half hour block, and so they had to cut a lot of subplots out. Which made it seem very much more rushed to us, who have read the books, because we know what should have been in there at which times.

it was a goood movie but i guess it was a bit rushed ONLY because the book was sooo long they had to cut some of it out. or else it would have been like a 4 hour long movie.
