the scene wasnt my fav in the whole movie (that was where they were studying or something and they wouldn't shut up and Snape wacked them on the head ). i thought that parts were over acted (emma's "go to bed" part). Also, since when did Hogwarts go totally punk rock???!!! The song was catchy tho *hums it in her head*. one other thing.... who was the little dude with black hair that was crowd surfing?

Yule ball scene was my favourite too.
Emma was looking really pretty in the Yule ball. I loved the scene between Ron and Hermione. It was really natural . When Hermione said Harry and Ron to go to the bedroom she was sounding like their bosss . I din`t find any of the Patil`s twins pretty(I think Ron and Harry deserves more better partner). Ginny and Neville are cute as a pair. I think The Cedric and Cho pair was perfect but unfortunately Cedric died. Yeah I wanted to see Draco with Pansy but they cut that part.
The Weird Sisters were female right. They were looking like male to me lol.
The Set was beautiful. I loved the whole set and it was mind blowing. The Yule Ball was perfect with a sad ending

i thought that the yule ball was funny in some bits like when harry didnt no wat to do wen the champions had to dance first and i like when hermione got angry at ron but other then that it was a bit boring
____________________________________________ LOSING ME
I had, inside, a bit that was 'me',
That responded to certain calls, like a bird in the wild,
Or sensed things on the wind and ran in that direction.
One day, however, I made a choice,
And I walked into a castle, pulling up the drawbridge,
And there - in those four walls - I raised my child,
And ceased to exist.
Sometimes the wind blows, and sometimes the birds call,
But I am brave, and turn my head away,
looking instead at where I should be. |

It was one of the best scenes in the movie - if not the best. I thought the emotions were very real at the ball just like a prom or school dance. Especially when the bad played. It was very well acted. It was different then the book but it worked out well.
The whole Ron/Hermy thing was great. I wanted to hug her, too! It really makes you see that there is something more than "just friends" going on between them that niether knows what to do about it. I did think she looked perfect and what a surprise for Ron when she showed up with Krum. I don't think Hermy realized what was going to happen when she said yes to Krum. I thought they made a nice couple and it was very nice for Hermy to get to be the most envied belle of the ball!
I loved that Neville was the blast of the ball! He was great that he finally excelled at something & easily! And who would have thought. You Go Boy!
I liked how Hagrid was w/ Maxine, too. It's really cute. I bet he never washed soo much then before she came, lol!
Very well done indeed! Quote:

I LOVED the part where Ron and Hermione are arguing and Hermione gets all emotional and say's to Ron that he ruins everything. I put that one in my "Classic Ron&Hermione Moments" book...(along with the hand touching scene from PoA,etc).
The way it looked so natural made it easier to watch then having the whole scene of them waltzing around...kids don't waltz! I laughed/cried when Harry was in bed and Neville came in (from the Yule Ball) late and had his shoes around his neck...it certainly was great!
Oh and I do think Ron's date looked better...just myopinion though. |

| ^I agree with you also. The Yule Ball was one of the scenes that I wanted to see most in the movie. Seeing that it was a major part in the book, I wanted to see how they would transform the book description to the screen. They did an amazing job with the Yule Ball. |

I thought the yule ball scene was one of the best. Even though they did changed several things from the book to the movie such as hary and hermione's outfits but still i loved the scenery in the Great Hall it was stunningly gorgeous. They made it look like so much fun especially the rock song scene.

I really liked the Yule Ball. I especially liked Hermione's pink ball dress. Harry looked very handsome and Ron looked like a scarecrow. |

I really liked the Yule Ball scene, and how the trio acted in it--very canon. The thing I didn't like was the rock band at the ball. It wasn't very wizard-like, although I suppose they were trying to show that muggles and wizards act alike as teenagers.

I really wanted to see Fred and Angelina's crazy dance...but apart from that, the scene wasn't bad at all. The patil twins were funyy
