brina is right, its not that important to have a house-elf in the movie unless its part of the plot like where dobby was trying to get harry out of school because he knew what was going to happen that year. otherwise like brina said its not important.

It cuts alot out of the movie and its really a shame but I know I would like to see more of Harry, Ron and Hermione so to me it was a needed sacrifise. An editors/directors job is hard, especially with something as big as HP.

Yeah, I heard about this. I Know they have to cut a lot out of the movies because of time restraints and everything, but some of the stuff they cut out is important to readers, like ourselves.

Like, for example, I didn't like how they didn't go in depth about how harry's dad was friends with moony, wormtail and padfoot.

And they didn't really go in depth about who was who. Although, they did hint at it. The books are still the best things ever, and the movies are good, considering all the things they HAD to cut out.

Wow, I had actually completely forgotten about Dobby and Winky, too bad they were cut out...but if Winky's not blamed for the QWCaccident, then who do they pin it on? After all, the dark mark will be shown...?

Well, that's good to know. I bet they'll pick Andy Serkis(aka Gollum) to voice him because Kreacher and Gollum are very similar to each other.ex:muttering, loin cloth, blah...

That really sucks. Doesn't dobby have a pretty big role in the book though? I mean, what about the gillyweed and stuff?

Exactly! How does Harry find out about the gillyweed? Maybe they change it and Neville does tell Harry about it, cuz he has the book with gillyweed in it. That could work. But Winky...who will they pin the Dark Mark on? I guess we will just have to wait a few more months

They have changed to to Neville giving Harry the gillyweed. Reviews from a test screening have confirmed it. Barty Crouch Jr. will be seen at the QWC instead of Winky being there.

The Neville thing makes sense, but how do they pin it on Barty Crunch Jr. when he is supposed to be dead? The story line is going to be very messed up in the movie.

Barty Crouch Jr. is only seen by the Trio. Since they don't know who he is, it works.

I"m glad they edited the name of this thread!

yeah they had to cut out the whole subplot of the s p e w w/ hermione so the film wouldn't be 4 hours long.
that really stinks though b/c i was looking forward to seeing winky get durnk.
