I don't hate Cho, but I sort of dislike her because of what happened in OOTP. It might've been better if nothing happened between Harry and Cho. If Cedric was still alive, Harry might've had moved on. In OOTP, she was sad about Cedric, so that's when Harry and Cho started dating. She's ok.

I have already read Ootp I'm still optimistic of her

i think because many people secretely wanted harry to be interested in hermione, and they wanted that to happen and are just in a hateful mood that that didnt happen,. im one of those people too

I don't have anything against Cho really, besides sticking up for Marietta (I seriously dislike that girl!! She had no right, btw) Yea, their date wasn't the greatest, and I didn't like the fact that she kept talking about Cedric because she thought Harry and Hermoine had something going on, but she belongs with Ron, and Harry belongs with Ginny anyways!! =^) Thats my say

i never knew anyone hated her. i know Katie Leung got TONS of hate mail because she got the part, i didn't know of anyone that hated Cho as the character. altho i dont' hate her, even after OotP, i don't hate her at all. i don't like her exactly, i really don't care. she was a minor character, sorta, and she'll prolly play a TINY role in book 7.

I hate her in Ootp. She got on my nerves!

Thats why everyone hated her.

Everyone wants a woman who is confident in herself, smart, and knows whats going on and what shes doing to be with Harry.

Cho wasnt worthy of him

I loathe the people who hate Cho Chang. A majority of them can't give a better reason other than 'OMGgg, she snogged harry!11/1!'. I've even met a few who were against her because of her race, and speaking as a Chinese myself, that made me sick.

Harry was extremely insensitive of her feelings, I find. Everyone cries, and Cho was going through a very tough period. She liked Harry, but she also liked Cedric and her attraction to Harry in his fifth year made that worse. She felt like she was being a traitor - and when your boyfriend dies in traumatic circumstances and you're attracted to the person who was with him at the end what do you do? Is it any wonder she cried?

I think JKR wastes a lot of characters, there are many, Luna, Neville, Percy, Cho, Colin etc who never really get a chance to be well-rounded and they could be great characters, instead of people who are just easy to hate, easy to love and easy to throw away.

I like Cho. Her behaviour was perfectly reasonable. She needed closure after Cedric's death and needed to know what happened.
Of course Harry wanted to forget the horrors he had seen and couldn't understand why she kept going on about it.
Failure to communicate doomed the relationship.

Cho never betrayed DA, that was Marietta, but Cho stayed friends with her.
Since Marietta and Cho are minor characters, we will never know the details of Umbridge torturing Mari or why Cho forgave her.

Umbridge says that Mari voluntarily came to her office and confessed.
Umbridge is famous for honesty, the Daily Prophet says so, so it must be true.

I cant stand her. i really dont like her. I hate her attitude on OotP.

i don't really hate her but she does do some things wrong. Although, she was going through some hard times.

Exactly!. Cho might have hurt Harry(which I really didn't like), but her boyfriend had just been murdered! Imagine yourself in her position, wouldn't you be really upset if someone you cared about was murdered? I know I would. I don't mind Cho, she never was a big part of the series, and since Harry doesn't have a crush on her anymore I doubt that she will play a part in the last book, but I could be wrong.

She is a pretty face without much of a personality.

I didnt see anything wrong with her in GOF but in OOTP she was a big prat.

I like Cho in GoF, but in OotP, all she wanted to talk about was Cedric, and Harry didn't want to relive those memories.

I dont hate Cho though she's really not that really caring about Harry's feeling and everything and she has Cedric which she lost. Anyway, really Harry is over her.

If you really think about it then she wouldn't even be with Harry if Cedric hadn't died so I don't know what to think...

Wait, why are some of you guys hating Cho Chang? What happened in the 5th book? I never read the 5th book that's why I don't know. Can Someone give me some information? I'm lost LOL

I think most people were protective of Harry. After all this was Harry's first crush. I think some readers either fancied him themseleves or flet that another character would have been a better match for Harry.

Cho isn't a bad person - she just didn't deal well with what happened with Cedric. She did get on my nerves in OoTP as well. But Hermoine did a good job of explaining it in OoTP. Cho just couldn't seperate her feelings about Cedric from her feelings from Harry. Girls are pretty complex by nature but this even made it worse. Cho's fate was sealed in OoTP when her friend turned out to be the snitch. But that really wasn't Cho's fault.
