When I read the 4th book, I liked her cuz she was mysterious, charming, and seemed like a sweet girl (in Harry's eyes, anyways). I thought how cute of a couple they'd make. THen, when I read the 5th book ans saw how bratty she could act, that instinct immediately faded. I just don't like how, in the 5th one, she is determined to cling onto the past and is always harping on Harry to do something when he's completely clueless. Well, that's my opinion on it.

I think Cho Chang is really misunderstood by many Harry Potter fans. I think she was just a character who went through a certain circumstance that made her change her view, which in her case would be Cedric. Her character was alright. I mean yeah she did do some things that I don't think was the best choice like kissing a boy you fancy somehow when you're all sad, but I think that's what's different about her. She's not my favorite character, but that doesn't mean I hate her. My opinion is Cho is just a very complex ravenclaw.

i toally agree with HSK! ur very right sho is highly misunderstood but she gets sorta annoying but how would u feel if ur bf die by lord voldemort but she was a tad bit shall i say a pain y would u go on a date with some1 when ur clearly not over a person who died!? honestly i wouldn't be like that 2 some1 cho keapt on asking harry about cedric i mean honestly but matbe she wanted closeure i mean shes very complex in her thinking like Hsk said but shes very well.. i really don't care for her!

i dont mind her character much, she's harry's first crush..thats got to mean something.

I think the reason many people don't like her is because of her behavior in OoTP. In case people who read this haven't read this book, I won't say anything else about it.

Cho seems to be the type of girl who always needs a relationship in her life or she feels empty. She was happy with Cedric, but then he died. Then Cho was miserable without a man and she leaned on Harry to support her, which did not work in her favor. She thought that Hermione was too much of a factor and decided that Harry was not worth her time.

Cho, in some ways, is selfish but there are many of us out there that would have acted the same.

Cho seems to me good in the book four, i liked her as harry liked her but in fifth book i dont like her bcoz of what she did you know............

To me, Cho is just Harry's crush, we know nothing of her character or personality in the fourth and third book, and we only judge her by her appearence in the movie and how we imagined her to be. But after OoTP, we get a much clearer version of how she acts and so forth, won't want to ruin the book for you, so go read it!

Shes just the stereotypical stupid girl with the crying and the confusedness and the jealousy of the best friend.

I think people hate her because they don't want to see Harry with her. She is not an evil character by any means, and Hermione did a good job of explaining Cho's feelings to Harry in the Order of the Phoenix. But, as those who have read that book know. The relationship does not last..freeing Harry to develop his relationship with Ginny in Half-Blood Prince. Cho does not deserve to be hated, in my opinion.

Cho has always been one of my least favorite characters, I don't hate her. She just reminds me of (if this is offensive to you, close your eyes) every single, whinning, always gets her way, popular, type of girl I've ever known at my school. I understand she has lost her boyfriend, but running around crying, enver getting over your greif just doesn't work ether. Harry was there when he died, do you really think he wants reminded of that ether? I've just never liked her character much, even in the fourth book.

I do agree with what tatewin said about people not seeing Harry with her. Harry has always been destined, in my opinion for one of the main characters, not Cho Chang, and I think for a lot of people who also felt this way, this was too much to swallow.

I dunno, maybe people think that she was being bad to Harry (yelling @ him in the coffee shop) and they just immediatley hate her. Or maybe because she pretty, smart dated, Harry and Cedric, sort of what like lightstar1154 said.

Well perhaps she's kinda unreasonable towards harry?? Jealousy over Hermione and stuff?? But i think cho's alright.. she's just having emotional break-down after cedric's death.. all she wants is guy there to hold on her.. like harry.. i think she's just afraid she might lose him to hermione.. that's why she's acting so unreasonable.. well, that's my point of view.. and ya people hate her because of suddenly change of harry to michael corner.. well, i dont know.. i dont hate her..

Her part in OOTP is very disturbing..Although I don't like Cho, I like Katie Leung..

I can understand both sides people take of Cho Chang- She did brake harry's heart but you do have to understand the emotion she's going through and that's a lot of pressure! My take is on Cho Chang- not my fav character (personally, i don't know enought about her, not like Hermione, Ron & Harry) but hey! I don't hate her like some people do.

A lot of people hate her because of what she did to Harry in the OoP.

I don't like Cho. She is really whiny, and annoying. It's all because of OOTP.

Cho the Charactor is hated becasue of the way she treats Harry! also the fact that many fans confuse the book Cho with the actress and are upset that she will get to kiss Dan Radcliffe!
