Welcome Ginny fans one and all! We've watched the Weasley charmer go from shy child to fiesty young woman, and it's been quite a journey. This is the place for those of you who want to cheer Ginny on as she tells it like it is and puts all six of her brothers right in their places, to brainstorm what's next for Ginny in book 7, and to construct all sorts of clever arguments against anyone who DARES to suggest that Ginny and Harry aren't soulmates.

Yay! Okay...so lets talk..I've recently noticed that after HBP came out theres been a lot more 'Ginny-haters' than before. Frankly I don't understand why. Is it because she dated Harry?

I'm Lissy and I love the way Ginny doesn't take grief from anyone! A product of being youngest and the only girl methinks!

Righto...well I'm Lillith *points to screenname* I love Ginny because she's not bossy like Hermione but she's smart. She's a good sister to Ron and shes a good friend from what the books say and she's sort of like me except for the whole freckles thing. Plus she's extremely nice to even the,I feel rude saying this,weird people like Luna and Neville. She doesn't look at social standings

I just love Ginny. I think she's so amazing! she's harry's perfect match, she has a wonderful sense of humour. She just rocks! don't you guys think?

I'm Erin. I love Ginny in the beginning because I understood what it was like to like this great guy who never notices you. And then I loved her because she was fiesty and fun. And now I love her because she's the rock that Harry needs. Yeah.

As for this... I've noticed it as well, and I think it's the price that is paid for having a strong female character coming in from the back of the pack. People are always going to read fiesty and full of spirit as complainers and brats if they want to... and that's what I hear about Ginny.

Horray for Ginny lovers, I can't wait to get the indepth discussions going.
I'm not surprised, just look at Cho. She has easily become a fairly hated character, and Katie Lueng (who is a lovely young lady) has taken a lot of heat because of this. Why? Simply because teenage girls want Harry because they feel so closely connected to him through the books abd they want him. They get jelous, and hate the girl he ends up with. Plus I think a certain minority of fandom seeks joy in bashing her, simply because they are bitter over certain things, but this isn't the place for that.
Besides that, Ginny is a forcefull personality. Very intimidating.

*shakes head* I hate when people hate on characters just cause J.K. decided to give them a role close by to the main character Harry. I felt soo sorry for Katie Leung because she got major hate mails from crazy fan girls around the world.

It was sort of known throught fandom that Ginny and Harry would get together. First sign) Everyone in the Weasley family loves him. b) Ron wouldn't beat him up. ^.^ c)Ron and Hermione would marry and then they'd all be one big happy Weasley FAMILY!

OK, Ginny-Haters might be upset cause there's a lot of people who shipped Harry with Hermione or Cho or even Luna, and there was practically no hint of the two of them getting together until book 6. *shrugs* Maybe...

Actually, I think it was fairly obvious that JK was builiding up to having Ginny take on at least a major role, if not THE major role as Harry's girl. Each book shows her getting more significant, taking on more personality, and becoming more prominent to Harry. JK has awesome pacing, but I don't feel surprised that Ginny and Harry ended up together in HBP.

Anyone feel like they won't get back together in Book 7?

I think that it's rediculous to say that they won't get back together or atleast have a romantic subplot in the seventh book. It would make all this build up of Ginny's feelings and Harry's romantic life quiet pointless. Jo did leave it hanging up in the air, Ginny confessing that she likes him a lot and Harry stating that he doubted he would be able to remain apart from her if he was around her. It's just his hero complex.
So you're right, it's going to serve plot wise. Personally I think it will be Ginny or Harry effected like Tonks was, their magic will be faulty due to denied love.

I don't feel surprised but it was kinda like it was there in my brain but I never thought about the possibility of them getting together.

They've gotta get back together! Ginny won't let Harry face Voldemort without her love and I think that it's important they get back together, since Harry's gotta use love to defeat Voldemort and all.

No, Not only that but they do hate her cause they didn't like her behaviour in HBP. Some of R/Hr shippers accuse Ginny for making Ron argued with Hermione and also some of Ron's lovers say that she was rude to him..I like both Ron and Ginny and I'm a big supporter for R/Hr but I didn't see that Ginny had acted a bad one. We all argue with our brothers..No one hadn't done that, right?? Besides, Ron should had known about Hermione's kiss to Krum. He will do the same reaction if Hermione told him or if he discovered the truth himself. I didn't see that Ginny is rude but Ginny had done what we all do with our brothers. Ginny was with her brother when he got posioned cause she loves her brother.
