I'd like here to open our first discussion about Ginny and her emotions towards every boy she was with him. Ginny as she first appeared in book 1 made us knew that she is a fan of Harry Potter then in book 2 we discovered that she is not just a fan but she had a crush on him and book after book we discovered more about Ginny's emotions and she had gone through a well-learned journey. We are here to talk about this journey....About Harry, Dean and Micheal. How do we think she did with them and how she got from one to another..To defend Ginny from what fans accused her of being useless and that she didn't care of love as she gone through alot of boys in short period...Let's Discuss Ginny's Romance here..

Well, I'm the first one. I like this subject a lot, you know? We can learn so many things about Ginny just by her boys.
First of all, Michael. Well, as you all know, Harry saw her as Ron's little sister so, it seems like something racional to try to forget him. Of course, that's difficult, and having another boy by her side seems like the best option. But I don't think that Ginny fell in love with Michael. She dumped him realy quickly just because he was a bad competitor.
And very quickly, she started dating Dean. For me, Dean was much more important than Michael. She made things more public than with Michael. I didn't like thir couple of course, cause I'm a big Harry/Ginny fan. I was sooooo happy when I read hbp. It was what I had been waiting And then they (H/G) were a couple all of a sudden. And we were all (well, some ) happy. We all understand Harry, and Ginny does too. But I want them to get back together again. Harry deserves it, and obviously so does Ginny.

JK! Please, let there be loveee!

To be honest, i don't think this little lady has loved anyone other than Harry. She may be kissing and having fun with others, but i don't think she actually really liked them like she liked Harry.

I think Ginny has just done that with the others to try and get Harry's attention and to get him to notice that other people like her and that he needs to hurry up! i think harry is the only one she has EVER really loved!

I think your both right. It's so hard for her since she had liked him from when Ron and Harry became friends. From awe to infatuatuion to her just seeming cool to her real feelings. Ginny's good at waiting.

I think it's better that Rowling made Harry and Ginny be together in year 6 and after being with other people..I mean, Look at Harry and Ginny, they had grown up a lot. They value each other.
May be she had fun but she wasn't happy with it. It's so hard for a girl to be with another boy other that the one she had loved. Look at her when she said that Harry had kissed Cho.She was close to tears.. I think when Hermione ( probably ) told her too, she didn't show that she was sad or upset but I know she was burning inside.
Yeah! it seems that Ginny just went out with Micheal to do Hermione's advice. But she didn't like him..( I think no one would like Corner ) It's difficult to like Corner after Harry Potter..not only cause Harry is a hero but Harry is a very good person and he loves and cares about any one..He had warm feelings. He is really the ideal boy any girl dreams
Dean is important cause he is the one who made Harry boiling but it's not in Dean himself. I mean, Dean wasn't intended in person but cause he is Ginny's boyfriend. Harry starts to feel something towards Ginny and suddenly he found Ginny kissing some one, he must feel what he had felt in the book. Any way, Dean is better than Corner to me but of course I can't say that I wanted Ginny with one of them but H/G Forever

Very true, it just goes to show how strong Ginny is as a character. She waited out all her pain, and look what she got to show for it.

I don´t think Ginny cared o lot for Micheal Corner, i think that when Hermione told her to get on with her own live and maybe start dating other people, so that she could be herself around Harry and that he then would then start to notice her, she chose the first boy that she found a little interesting in the hopes to make Harry jealous. When that didn´t work she probably lost all interest in Micheal and was glad to have a reason to ditch him.

With Dean Thomas i think it was different, she did´t get into a relationship with Dean just to make Harry notice her (although that did happen) but because she liked him, but not nearly as much as she loves Harry. When she noticed that Harry began to grow more interested in her she didn´t just go and break up with Dean because she liked him, she didn´t want to hurt him. But she was frantically searching for a good reason to ditch him. That´s why they had all those fights i think.

Harry is the one Ginny always loved, she had to wait 6 years for him but in the end the it was worth all the pain and anquish he unintensionaly put her through.
And they will get back together again.

I think Ginny liked the others (Dean and Michael) but she never loved them like she loved Harry.

I think after CoS Ginny found Harry to be her Prince Charming, who would be there to save her when she's in danger as he did then.

I think Ginny didn't like Micheal at all, coz she always called hima fool etc... she was just using him to try and get to Harry (Hermione might have told her he liked Cho Chang)

She might have liked Dean slightly at first, but Harry made it pretty obvious he was jealous and maybe she started using Dean. That's probs why they fought so much i agree...

i don't think Ginny used any boy to get to Harry. I mean she went out with them to forget her and to build up her character as when she treated Harry as any one she became to speak at his presence normally and i think without that she wouldn't have joined DA

I think she has gone with other also to get Harrys attention cause its like she said at the end of book 6 "hermione said if I would relax and go out with other people and be myself maybe you would notice me" Or somthing like that. So I think that she has only loved and still dose love Harry.

well now that Iv'e looked back on what I said about 2 days ago, I'm making her sound like a BEEP which she most certainly is not! I suppose she did like Dean and poss Micheal but she might have gone out with them partly to get over Harry... But still:

Do you think when Harry left Ginny at the end of book six it was a good decision or he was mistaken?????

I agree with lots of people who have already posted and I say Ginny only really liked Harry. Yeah she went out with other guys, but it could be that she was either trying to get her mind off Harry, or get his attention.

no I don't think it was a good decision, coz he needs her love to defeat voldybaldy! if they didn't tell anyone they were together then she would still be safe so he could do that, it's more *fun*

but some people say and Harry himself said that Voldemort will know. Actually, Remember that Snape and Malfoy flew to Voldemort's side after the conflict that happen at the end and may be one of them will tell Voldy. I actually think that Harry must permit the sixth to go with him in the horocruxes journey but not in facing Voldy

Harry will go crazy if he knew that Voldemort knows about Ginny. May be if Voldemort said that he will hurt Ginny, that angers Harry and makes him wanted to finish Voldy more..This will be fun.

Maybe Harry and Ginny will get back together and keep itr a complete secret, thsat way Harry has Ginny's love to defeat Voldy and no one will find out! now tHAT will be *interesting*

I definately think that Ginny and Harry will get back together in the last book. It's almost a guarenteed.

they're the classic couple that "can't be together" and it's all tragic for a while and then it gets all better

I'm happy with the romance of Ginny and how it developed. Although I didn't like H/C moments and I don't like ootp book but I admire HBP and DH so much. Harry,Ginny's future will be so good. I always imagine how Harry will talk to Mr Weasley and all the Weasleys about his relationship with Ginny.

I wish they'd given us a H&G moment at the end of DH, I was waiting for it I was...
