As we got the green line to talk about the Deathly Hallows book..I must start this thread..

I know Ginny wasn't much in the book but we can't deny that she had a strong role So, What do you think in Ginny in the 7th book?? All your thoughts about every thing that concerned her in that book besides your opinions in Ginny in book 7 will be here.. Let's begin

I think the story lacked romance for her character -or maybe I'm just a romance sucker XD- But from the first books, she even sent him valentines, and in this one we barely got to see much of her and Harry at all. Her birthday gift was witty, but that was like.. it. I always pictured Ginny as Harry's reason and inspiration to keep going, his strongest love, yet when he was gone he thought of her maybe once while hearing that she might've gotten in big trouble That was certainly not enough... I wish I could've heard more of her contribution to the whole ordeal, I think *shrugs*

Ginny didn't have that much a big of a role in DH. I agree that it sort of lacked romance and all. But it still showed how brave she was in facing the Death Eaters.

Jo also made a good role for Ginny. Although she wasn't with H/R/Hr but they heard what She, Neville and Luna did and they were so great. Also when Ginny didn't like to stay behind and fought Bellatrix..That was brilliant. And the epilogue..How can we forget??

What I love is how much more confident she was ... and that comment ... "that's the silver lining I was looking for" ... It was so sweet and perfect and mature. I was almost blown away by how much it had seemed that she'd grown!

Her growing as a character became in Ootp.. I won't be surprised at all
in what she does in the next two movies.. Plus she wanted to show
Harry what she could accomplish, to impress him , I guess. Cho was
her competition for Harry's affection..

I loved the way Ginny and Cho almsot fought over Harry at the end, it made me laugh so much and it's that side of Ginny that I really like.

I like the way JK's changed Ginny's character by changing the way she describes her, it's so effective. I compared some stuff about Ginny from book 2 and book 7 and the difference was immense (oo that's a nice word...), she's obviously learnt alot and really showed her brothers that she's the boss... hehe... stuff the Spice Girls, Ginny's my Girl Power...

I have to say, if Ginny had gone with Harry and the group, we don't necessarily know if Neville and Luna would have gotten the idea to rebel. Also, she had not been as privy to the discussions about Horcruxes and Voldemort, so would have had to have all that explained before she went with the trio. On the romantic aspect, Harry could have tried to keep her in the dark as a way to protect her, and I think there were hints that he was doing just that. Which could also explain his reaction when he finds out how she got in trouble.

Besides, I was happy when I read about Harry thinking in Ginny. Although he was so busy but he couldn't remove her from his mind. I know this would not be suitable for the story but I'd like Harry to dance with Ginny in the Wedding like Ron and Hermione.

Yeah! and her dress was far low cut. I think Muriel was overstating. Her dress wasn't that low cut Any way, Yeah! I liked Harry's quote too. Actually I can't see that Harry is a big bloke

For the movie I hope they give Ginny some more scenes. I mean I find it pretty silly to build up her character to have her in the background again.
For the movie verison I would think that all the camping scenes would get boring real quickly. So what I am hoping especially if David Yates comes back for the last movie is on and off between the trio's camping like to do a montage of Neville, Ginny, and Luna's rebelion at Hogwarts. Like showing them stealing the Gryffindor sword and just causing havoc.

That's a very good idea. Scene or two of Hogwarts won't be bad, will it?? There is a rumor than Yates will direct the movie but we don't know yet.

I hope the rumor is true. He did great with OotP. I can't wait to see HBP.

I think that even though their wasn't much Ginny/Harry in it Ginny did show her will to fight off the death eaters and that she is not a little girl and she also showed her love for Harry.

Yah, I agree, he was always thinking about her, or looking at her little dot thing on the Marauders Map.

And I agree with Little Trooper, She showed that she wanted to fight and that she was no longer a little girl. I think She did that because she loved Harry. I love what she did, and it showed that she could really take care of herself. But we all knew that anyway :wink:

^ and that's why she is the suitable girl for Harry. No girl would bear like Ginny. She is tough not crying all the time like Hermione and she doesn't argue a lot with Harry because she knew him well and knew that what he had done should be done.
