It's interesting...Ginny is very smart and mature for her age. She's commenting on how well she knows Harry. Who typically knows everything about "their man?" The wife does. So regardless of what is to happen in book seven, I can already feel that these two will either both make it alive or Harry will have to suffer from Ginny's loss. Harry gives that Spider-Man speech, where he doesn't want Ginny to get hurt...and what evitably happens? She gets hurt. The point is, Ginny understands Harry, perhaps even more than Ron and Hermione...she's his complement and that statement helps prove it.
They were meant to be...(which for any H/Hr shippers, if there are any of you left, was obvious from the SS/PS movie. There was no reason for Ginny to be there for 30 seconds of film. If they are needed they don't cast em. Wow, getting OT...)

I love this bit in HBP, even though it's SAD. It's just so telling that Ginny accepts the fact that Harry has to end their relationship without a fuss or tears or making a big deal, because she knows him well enough to know that he HAS to take care of Voldmort before he can get on with his life. And just as much as she loves him for his nobility and heroism and absolute goodness of heart, she knows that those are the things that are going to keep them apart for now.

Exactly my point, Dean. I just was afriad to say that or the fans say that Hermione and Ron are his freinds and they knew Harry from the first year.. but in book 6, I discovered that sometimes neither Hermione nor Ron understood Harry perfectly as Ginny. She can understand him before he says any thing but from the look in his eyes and in that scene there was the prove of my words.
Yeah! Although this part was too sad but through it we discovered how Harry and Ginny love eachother. Not teens' love but a true love. How they understood eachother, how they sacrifice by their happiness..That was the most powerful romance scene in all the book.

This quote shows her maturity and how strong her love is for Harry. The best part of her love for Harry is that she loves Harry for being himself she doesn't love him because he is famous or funny or brave, she loves him for his faults and everthing about him.

i think that she is showing more strength than most people ni the books. the boy that she has loved for 5 years tells her that he cant be with her and she still is strong through the whole thing. she knows he has to do this. she has gone through harships just like he has, with the whole riddle thing. she loves him not because he is 'the boy who lived' but because of how he makes her feel and how they relate to one another. sure harry has ron and hermione but they havent dealt with hardships like harry an ginny have. their love isnt just puppy love when you love him for like a few weeks and its over. their love really shows its strenght because she lets him go. she sacrifices her love for him. she wants him to be happy and that shows that she loves him more than he can imagine.

That is a very important part of the books. I feel that it shows the connection between Harry and Ginny that really needed to be pointed out, they are unlike other characters. It also highlights the concept that Ginny is, in all fairness, 'the girl who lived'. This supports Jo's later claims of Ginny clearly being an equal to Harry. In the series as a whole, Ginny is always going to put in the concept as the love interest. However, she happily demonstrates her own character here by choosing to create conflict with the hero, she stands up and shuts him up. Where Ron and Hermione are no longer able to control their maddening friend, Ginny is able to shut him up and put him in his place, bringing a lot of much needed reality to a fairly tense moment.

That quote shows how mature she is.
I mean a year before that, Ginny would have been awfully sad and crying. But..now she show a very mature and resposible way of thinking. She understands what Harry is going through and respetc his decisions. And that means a lot to Harry.
That's why he loves her...and the other way round.

I think She had changed after Voldemort's return and when she knows that Harry was admiring Cho. I think that she had changed from that. She begun to try to forget Harry and think in herself. She was only shy when Harry was around but after what happened with Voldemort and trying to be with other people away from Harry made her more stronger and isn't afraid of Harry's shouting but on the contrary, she shouted and get angry to re-direct Harry and to make him think with his brian not affected by his feelings of guilt

I think Ginny really evolved into a matured girl who is always there to support her friends and loved ones. She really has this some kind of tight and deep bond with harry. She respects his decisions even though it is painful for her to do that.

Ginny has such an attitude in the books...she's so spicy...and funny...I love her in the books...

The quote just shows how she so perfectly compliments Harry. Where he is weak, she is strong and visa versa. She is always there for him, ready to drop anything she's doing or thinking to help him/ come to his aid and side-even when Harry's shouting at her and her friends. She puts him in his place. She has seen him at his worst and at his best and knows how to deal with both. The connection they share is what Harry needs, his most powerful weapon against Voldemort, at its best-love, pure and powerful. It is love that will save everything in the end. It's the thing that Voldemort has little knowledge of-something he underestimates time and time again. Love is all anyone ever needs-and something that makes Harry stronger with every ounce of it. Ginny, now that's devotion!

Let's put another quote... Many people didn't like Ginny to not give up on Harry...They wanted Ginny to really give up on Harry and then they return to each other. What do you think and what do you like??

I also believe that it wasn't a silly crush at first...She really had feelings for Harry not only crush but then when Harry went out with Cho she prefered to withdraw and wait..may be some day Harry notice her.

Yep...maybe you are right...but no she's older and she could manage to wait and not to be sy aorund him.

After reading about 6 books from HP. Do you think That Rowling had made a good job on Ginny's character??? Did you feel that there is any thing you didn't like in Ginny and hoped that Rowling didn't do it???

i was really pleased that Ginny didn't give up on Harry, i sort of knew too, there were lots of clues that said she hadn't (a certain convo between Harry and Hermione in Hogsemade comes to mind) and it just showed how Ginny is in a way a lot like Harry - she refuses to give up. But instead of charging stright through the middle of things like Harry, she's willing to sit back and wait before she can sort it out.

And I liked when Rowling said that Ginny and Harry are equal and she is a gifted witch and she is the one who can suit Harry as he is a scary boyfriend ( Rowling said that ) because he is a marked man and he is the Chosen one..
