Accually I don't think it's really hard to tell them apart. Mainly it's in how they smile. When oliver smiles it's all out, but when james smiles I think he wants to melt hearts.
There are other characteristics that are tell tales to which ones Oliver and which ones James.

-Oliver has several moles on the right side of his neck.
-James has a scar on his right cheek.
-Oliver is Left handed (GO US LEFTIES!!! ONE DAY WE WILL RULE THE WORLD!!!)
-James accually parts his hair to the side.
-Olivers voice is deeper.

Mostly I tell by their smiles. When Oliver smiles he gets this ADORABLE dimple under his eyes and I have to agree...when Oliver smiles its all out. A full big grin. James is definately a heart melter. His smile is more...not restrained....definately not restrained...just not as big as Oliver's anyway. Maybe he's more shy? Meh I dunno that's just what I've noticed. Also James has more of a rounder baby face. He's very cute. Oliver has more pronouced ...I dunno? features? Cheek bones? Whatever it is I'm so very drawn to that smile of his. Happiness and laughter and things I love and Oliver just seems to exude this happiness...especially when he smiles. I love that!

yaaay! you got it right!! it's a bit easier to tell them apart now that they're older, but when i was re-watching SS and CoS (for the umpteenth time) it's a little hard. but after a while i know which one is which, even in the earlier films...

i think they look younger with the shorter hair... bring on the long hair!!

Yes longer hair is so very much hotter. There's something wild about long hair.
Then again I think they looked great! They treated their fans so warmly and they were so generous to even be there! I love how they're hanging with Ru a lot. Shows how closely they've grown as mates.
