Hey everybody! Steph is here to host our very own Fred and George FF competion!

Ok the rules: You must write a story (it can be how ever long you want it) and PM me with the words F&G FF Comp entry #1. Remember to apply by the SS rules and it has to have something to do with the twins. It also can be any kind of story you want (funny, scary, romantic, etc.). When the deadline is done I'll post the stories in here (so you will not know who wrote them) and you get to vote for your favorite.

Opening: June 10,2007
Deadline: June,25,2007
Voting: June 26,2007
Announcing of winner: July 3,2007

If you have any questions at all post in this thread and I'll answer them as soon as I can

THE UNCOMMONLY PINK DAY

Fred and George were sitting in Potions Class and they were exceedingly bored. On top of that Professor Snape was in rare form, in an even fouler mood than usual. He stood at the front of the class and greeted the students with an angry, contemptuous stare, which was certainly nothing new for Snape. There was definitely an increased viciousness to his demeanor on this particular day, though, and neither Fred nor George wanted to find out what it was that had caused his nasty mood. Snape was going on and on about some incomprehensible nonsensical potion which neither twin had any interest in it all. Finally, George put his head down on his desk and fell asleep. There was only so much boring stuff a boy wizard could hear before things finally gave way. It was then that things really started to get bad.

“Mr. Weasley, what is the meaning of this? 50 points from Gryffindor, AND the entire Gryffindor class will be doing detention all this weekend!”, Snape thundered at them. The entire classroom shook. Every Gryffindor student in the classroom groaned while the Slytherins giggled at their plight.

It was just too much for Fred and George to take. They had both had a bad day as it was, and they just wanted a little excitement and fun, that was all. Professor Snape had turned his back for just a second to write another boring formula on the blackboard, and that was when the twins took action. They turned to each other and instantly rose, pointing their wands at Professor Snape and yelling the words “Balletrium Pinkus”.

All of a sudden, Professor Snape was standing before the classroom wearing not his usual black from head to toe outfit but a frilly powder pink tutu with matching pink satin toe shoes. He began to pirouette throughout the entire classroom which caused all the students to break out in hysterical laughter, and not just the Gryffindors, either. The Slytherin students were joining in on the fun. Then things really got good. Professor Snape began to sing the song I Feel Pretty from the musical West Side Story, and he was singing in his usual baritone voice!

”I feel pretty

I feel pretty and witty and gay
And I pity
Any girl who isn't me today
I feel charming
Oh so charming
It's alarming how charming I feel
And so pretty
That I hardly can believe I'm real
See the pretty girl in that mirror there?
Who can that attractive girl be?

Such a pretty smile
Such a pretty me!

And entrancing

And dancing for joy

By a pretty wonderful boy”

The students were cracking up and enjoying themselves at this whole performance. Suddenly, the Gryffindor and Slytherin students rose as a whole and sang the next part of the song.

Have you met my good friend Maria
The craziest girl on the block?
You'll know her the minute you see her
She's the one who is in an advanced state of shock
She thinks she's in love
She thinks she's in Spain
She isn't in love
She's merely insane
It must be the heat
Or some rare disease
Or too much to eat
Or maybe it's fleas

Well-bred and mature

Snape clapped his hands together like a little girl and continued the song -

”I feel pretty
Oh so pretty
That the city should give me its key
A committee
Should be organized to honour me
I feel dizzy
I feel sunny
I feel fizzy and funny and fine
And so pretty
Miss America can just resign
See the pretty girl in that mirror there
(What mirror, where?)
Who can that attractive girl be?
(Which, what, where, whom?)
Such a pretty face
Such a pretty dress
Such a pretty smile
Such a pretty me!”

The song was nearly over. For the final part, all the students in the classroom joined together with Snape and sang –

”I feel stunning
And entrancing
Feel like running and dancing for joy
For I'm loved
By a pretty wonderful boy”

Snape pirouetted to the front of the classroom. Lifting both sides of his tutu skirt, he curtsied prettily to the cheers and laughter of the crowd. This was a Snape no one had ever seen before, and probably never would again.

But the fun wasn’t over yet. All of a sudden, pink cotton candy began to flow out of nowhere, LOTS of pink cotton candy. It ran through the halls of Hogwarts, into all the classrooms, and was everywhere, there wasn’t a single spot that wasn’t covered with gooey pink cotton candy. All the students and teachers began to run out of the classroom, but some of the students decided to stop and enjoy a little treat on their way out the door. Those students who ate the candy turned into cute, fluffy pink bunny rabbits who began hopping around the grounds of Hogwarts. Fred and George were laughing at all the craziness and chaos they had created around them.

The next day everything was back to normal. There were no signs of the cotton candy mess and Snape didn’t seem any different than he ever did on any other day. The only thing that was interesting was that no one remembered anything that had happened the day before, but no one but Fred and George Weasley. They made sure to wipe everyone’s memory of the day, especially Snape’s.

Entry #2!

The Prank, Of All Pranks, Of All Time

It was Fred and George’s third year at Hogwarts, and it was Tuesday. Therefore, it was time for a prank. But the twins were bored of their simple weekly pranks. Now was the time for a big prank. An Ultimate prank.
“We need a prank Fred, a big fat prank.” Said George, pacing his dormitory.
“We need an amazing prank, an awesome prank!” He continued.
“A prank of all pranks!” Yelled Fred.
“A prank of all pranks of all time!” Yelled George.
They stood in silence for a moment, then George continued pacing.
“I have no ideas whatsoever.” They said, simultaneously.
“We’ve pranked on mass before, so we can’t do that again.” Mumbled Fred, scratching his head.
“Well then, let’s not prank a large bunch of people, let’s prank someone important!” Said George. Fred jumped up from his seat, but the excitement quickly evaporated.
“Like who?” He asked, sitting back down again. George began pacing again.
“Well… let me think… who’s important… difficult to get to… in authority…”

He stopped. The twins turned to look at eachother and yelled
“Dumbledore!”

An hour later, pranking Dumbledore seemed a much more difficult task. How do you prank the most intelligent wizard alive? “You don’t” would be the expected answer, but as their little sister always said:
“Anything’s possible if you’ve got enough nerve.”

“We could steal his socks.” Suggested Fred hopelessly.
“We don’t want him to kill us.” Mumbled George, smirking. “C’mon, let’s sleep on it, it must be possible…”

How wrong they were.

Fred woke up at what seemed like 3 in the morning, lying on hard stone. George lay next to him, equally alarmed.
“Wha’ happened?” Asked George, squinting towards Fred.
“I dunno…” he replied, staggering up and looking around.
They were in a long corridor, basking in summer sunlight. People were walking past them, chatting amongst themselves. It was definitely Hogwarts, but it looked different. They didn’t recognise any of the people walking past them.
“Excuse me can you-? Sorry will-? Excuse me-? Hello? I’m talking to you people!” Said Fred, confused. “Why won’t they talk to me?”
“I have no idea. This is really weird…” Said George, looking around at everyone and walking forwards.
Suddenly, George tripped and fell straight through a small girl, onto the grass.
“What the pie!” He screamed, scrambling up again. “I just fell through a girl!”
“I know I saw! Hold on, I’ll see if I can do it to…” George replied and dived straight towards a group of passing girls.
He fell straight through them and landed in a heap behind them.
“Aaaaaahhhhhhh! This is to weird! I wanna go home!” Bawled Fred, running around in circles.
“No… This is ridiculous… We must be able to touch people… Fred! Start hitting people! It must be possible!” Yelled George, ever so slightly distressed.
“Ok!” Said Fred, picking up a large stick and swinging it at a group of first years. The stick passed through the first years as though they didn’t exist, this just made the twins panic even more.
Fred and George were soon running madly everywhere, trying to hit everyone with large sticks and stones.
“C’mon Fred! Hit ‘em! Hit ‘em! It’s not like we don’t exist; we gotta hit ‘em! Get that guy! Whack ‘im one! Aaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!” Screamed George, charging directly through a crowd of people waving a stick like a maniac.
“I’m trying!” Replied Fred, jumping through a large blonde girl holding a broomstick aloft.
Without warning, they felt a strange sensation in their stomachs, as they were lurched upwards. Fred and George found themselves lying on Fred’s bed, with a large glowing basin in front of them. Dumbledore was standing in front of them, smirking.
“I think you’ve learned your lessons boys. Firstly, If you have a pensieve, madness is never to far away. Especially if a certain someone has placed a fair few sticks and stones for you to play with in there. Secondly, I think your conversations should be held quieter from now on. Thirdly, never try and prank your Headmaster.”
Dumbledore smiled at them and left carrying his pensieve, leaving them in complete shock.
Dumbledore truly was the greatest prankster of them all.

Entry #3!

Fred and George were doing steady business at the Weasleys Wizard Wheezes. One day, Harry, Ginny, Ron and Hermione come into the shop. Harry and Ginny is holding hand while Ron is holding the hand of Hermione’s. As they come in, Fred and George said.
‘Welcome, couples, welcome to our humble shop, Weasleys Wizard Wheezes.’
‘Hey, stop it.’ Ginny said and playfully pinched Fred.
‘I’m your elder brother, Ginny. Have some respect.’ Fred said. ‘Anyway, why did you all come for? Thought you’d visit us or something coz we’re lonely?’
‘We’ve come here for business. We need two pairs of Extended Ears, a couple of Troubling Ticklers. (It is something I invented. It tickles the person whom you say to it) Hope there is enough stock.’ Harry said to Fred briskly.
‘And why do you want those?’ George asked suspiciously while Fred went into the shop to take the things that Harry told. Fred came back carrying the Extendable Ears and Troubling Ticklers.
‘Well, we need them for troubling Bill and Fleur. They make so much noise that we can’t sleep at night. So, we need to trouble them. That’s the Troubling Ticklers for. And we need the Extendable Ears for listening to what they say so much in the night before our ticklers start working.’ Ron said playfully.
‘Well, well, well. That’s a funny idea. We are very glad to know that our brother and sister are following our model. Doing pranks, I mean. Well, then, for doing something good, we’ll give you a treat. We’ll make this free and give all of you something we invented right now.’ George said, with a smile on his face. He went inside the shop, brought out four life-looking lions statues and put it on the table.
Fred said. ‘These are four lions which can give you good company. These can talk, make jokes, write, play and do everything without you telling it. And these are for each of you.’
‘Hurrah.’ The four of them shouted and took the lions from the table. ‘Thanks a lot.’ They chorused and went out of the shop, smiling and beaming.

Suggestion: could you also write the time in GMT time? We all are in different time zones and we don't know which country's time you're telling.
